Not sure why my battery has suddenly gotten much weaker in recent weeks. There's 33% of usage below. And this includes idle time, system, screen, etc. Where's the missing 50%?! | Posted: 03 Oct 2020 10:56 AM PDT After updating my OP 7T with the september security patch, My clock alarm got a bug where alarms created before the update, were set to no song and Even if I changed, it reverted to no song and so the alarms were not working. | Posted: 03 Oct 2020 06:31 PM PDT Hey, so about a week ago, i accidentally pushed my 6T McLaren edition off of the table while moving stuff around. It hit the corner edge of my metal desk legs and just so happened to hit dead center on the screen. Screen protector and screen itself didn't even crack, all that energy went strait into the amoled panel. Thing is, i need my phone for work and school and it has important files on it like programs, family documents, etc, that i made so that it cannot be synced with the cloud. In hindsight it was a stupid thing. I cant download the files by any methods (locked in a secure app folder) so the ONLY option i have left is to replace the screen. i however, want full functionality so i will not (and will never) consider any TFT or LCD displays and i need the OEM or at least an amoled panel so i can have good colors and fingerprint functionality. I've tried looking everywhere and the only places i found it is on witrigs.com and a listing on ebay which claims it is amoled. i've already rules out repairing it myself as i dont want to risk it and want a professional to do it. one of the best options right now is OnePlus themselves. $90 for a screen and $30 for labor. cheaper than other options (good job oneplus). thing is, they stated that they will wipe the memory of the device so im gonna loose all my files. its just a screen replacement and im 100% sure every other component is fine as charging, playing music, flashlights, cameras all work and its just the faulty screen. Does anyone know a way to contact oneplus to ask them not to wipe the memory or any other cheap methods to get my phone fixed? Thanks! (sorry for my bad english) [link] [comments]  |

My battery has dropped 16% in 29 minutes.. Battery usage show Reddit 3%, and 3 apps at 1% each. That only account for 6 of 16% used . Any thoughts? [link] [comments]  |

I like being able to customize the look of my phone. I used Nova back when I had multiple Moto phones because I thought stock look was boring. Then I went Samsung S7 and S9 and lived their theme store where I could change the themes and icons and mix and match. Any good good customizable launchers? Pros and cons.. All of sudden anytime I try to send a pic via text while connected to wifi it will not send. Have to switch to mobile data. Is this a OnePlus app problem or should I contact T Mobile? | This Is How I Solved My Google Assistant and Google App Issue. Posted: 03 Oct 2020 04:06 PM PDT (Rooted OP5T on Android 9, OxygenOS 9.0.11. OnePlus really has been slacking smh) For over a year and a half, I've been having issues with the Google Assistant "ok google, hey google" not working then later on google app force closing itself etc. This is how I fixed the problem for myself. First I followed this forum and removed the parallel apps/user https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5t/how-to/google-app-crashing-fix-t4083357 I also removed the guest user from the notification bar (u can also do this from settings, search for multiple users) After that, I updated to the lastest google app (at the time of this post ofc) and it wasn't crashing etc. but assistant still wasn't working (it was greyed out), so I did a bit more reading and searching and then I set every language setting I could find in the Google app settings to English (United States) (There are about 3) AND I switched my system languages (Language and input setting). My system languages was 1. English (Barbados) 2. English (United States) but I flipped it so that it was English (us) first then English (bds) second. Now my assistant is back to work.... For now that is, until the next crisis.... On infinite phones. (Btw the only minor problem is the ok google text didn't start back showing up in the search widget bar) [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 03 Oct 2020 02:58 PM PDT So basically what happened is that I washed my backpack today and I emptied it out (I swear to god), but somehow I forgot my charger in it. So it's been washed for like three hours in the washing machine. I'm leaving it out to completely dry. How do I know if it still works? Or is there any possibility that it may still work? It's a 20W Dash Charge brick... since I have a 7 Pro (I bought it second-hand, that's why I don't have a 30W charger) I could buy a 30W one for 20€.. but if there's any change, I would like to salvage this one. I tried running the diagnostic, reinstalling it, doing a full charging cycle multiple times but it still doesn't show and says "no data, upgrade your system to the latest version". Investigating I discovered the Access Point Names APN settings are locked down and i cannot select another. i can add a new one but cannot select it There are two in the list, 1st is selected and cannot be modified or deleted The second can be read but not modified or selected A reset to default makes no difference I'm not keen on doing a factory reset though will known to fix issue and also, if cannot fix on the 3t; which oneplus models can you add/delete/modify/select the apn you would like Thank you carrier: BT as mvno over ee country: uk oxygen: 9.0.6 aka android9 sec patch oct19 [link] [comments]  |

I'm willing to downgrade to Android 9 as well, but I can't find any guides on that either. Anyone have any luck with this? At first I assumed it had something to do with me shifting countries (I know it sounds stupid) because I left India and came back to UAE now. But I checked multiple times on System Updates and nothing came up, even as of now. But I installed Oxygen Updater today to check and on that it shows there is a new update available. So, do you think the same update (10.3.5) will be rolled out through System Updates in a few days or should I install it through Oxygen Updater.
