Mi Fit now requires location to connect? Posted: 31 Aug 2020 08:29 PM PDT I think there was an app update like one or two weeks ago and since then, each time I want to connect the app to my Mi Band 4, it requires the location to be turned on. If I refuse, the devices wont get connected. I don't recall this being the case before and don't think I've tinkered with the settings before. [link] [comments]
Posted: 31 Aug 2020 08:00 PM PDT Does the f2 pro have an accessible IR camera on the front camera? I'm aware that facial recognition does operate on IR. I was wondering if there was a way I could access this on the F2 pro [link] [comments]
Apps that aren't in use will randomly drain the battery Posted: 31 Aug 2020 07:56 PM PDT At first I thought this was just a case of occasionally crappy apps but it seems to happen at random to apps that never did it before. I will use an app for a short period of time, close it out, and then it will continually use nearly the same mAh in the battery monitor forever. Force stopping the app from the battery monitor makes no difference, the only way to cure the problem is a restart. I am using a note 9 pro on MIUI 11. Maybe this is just a bug in the battery monitor but it does seem like battery percentage drain corresponds with the drainage reports, hard to say with such a big battery though. https://i.imgur.com/9iWUUvA.jpg The two tall bars are when I was actually using the phone, all the shorter bars are the two apps shown that I only used briefly and then closed, they drain a consistent but not exact amount forever now. Xiaomi Mi 9 - Turning off and on in loop Posted: 31 Aug 2020 08:36 AM PDT Some weeks ago i asked for help, because my Xiaomi Mi 9 turned on and off by itself in a loop. nobody really had a solution for it and it definitely wasn't a failure on the buttons. i gave up on the device and bought a redmi 9 pro, which is a super great device. two days after i bought the new phone i read something about the sim slot and how it could affect the booting process. i opened up the sim slot and removed some dust inside - turns out this was the only problem. the phone works perfectly after i blew the dust out... now i use one phone for business and one for my personal stuff lmao. i hope this will help someone in the future! Anyone know where I can buy OEM Mi A2/6X battery + charging port? Posted: 31 Aug 2020 06:40 PM PDT I'm thinking of buying from AliExpress but I'm worried that they'll be fake and explode in my face or something. Does anyone know any OEM sellers or reputable 3rd party batteries? [link] [comments]
Is this Safe for tla battery consumption for the redmi note 9s Posted: 31 Aug 2020 05:49 PM PDT So i just bought this phone redmi note 9s yesterday and i charged it at 10% and removed it at exactly 90% I noticed that the battery drain was so fast from 90%-41% for almost 6hours estimated time but at around 40% it is stable because i didnt use it overnight for 6 hours. 40-20% for 2 hours and 30 mins. All i did was gaming (light gaming)/youtube/facebook but mostly Facebook and youtube [link] [comments]

Keyboard resetting on startup? Posted: 31 Aug 2020 04:14 PM PDT Hello, r/Xiaomi! I am using a Redmi 7A running on a Chinese stable ROM (MIUI11) given by a family member. I am using Gboard as an alternative keyboard, but everytime I reboot my device, it reverts to its native chinese keyboard (which is Sogou). I've tried using Xiaomi ADB/Fastboot Tools to remove Sogou, but instead of reverting to Sogou every reboot, it just doesn't set a keyboard anymore, instead of using Gboard (Removing Sogou did work). Is there anything else I can do to fix this? Thanks to anyone who'll reply. [link] [comments]
Posted: 31 Aug 2020 02:52 PM PDT Hey, Here's the full story of what I have been doing with my mom's RN8 today. Just unlocked bootloader, installed the newest TWRP, flashed Magisk + Magisk Manager Canary, reset phone to recovery and got an SYSTEM DAMAGED error, flashed twrp 3.4 +vbmeta from a youtube guide and saved my phone, installed Magisk module called WifiBonding or something - it didn't work and my phone stopped displaying any wifi networks so turned the module off, that didn't help so I reset the phone. That didn't work either so I factory reset it, that didn't help, so I went to TWRP and wiped data partition - I still have the problem though, the phone doesn't display any WIFI networks - when I click the wifi button in the dropdown menu or go to setting and click the switch, it goes back onto the off position after a second. Even during the installation wizard after I wiped the phone, it didn't see any wifi networks! How do I fix the problem? What do I wipe in twrp to replace the file that has completely broken my wifi? Right now I will try to install the magisk manager again and remove it using the 'uninstall' option. Help me out fellas, please, I am clueless as to what to do! tl;dr - installed the module called Wifi Bonding (Qcom) v. 1.14 by simonsmh - phone didn't display any WIFI networks, the button returned to the off position, I wiped twrp data, the problem still persists. How do I solve it? Thank you in advance! edit: tried resetting the wifi and mobile and bt settings just now and it didn't change anything. Also, fogot to mention I am running MIUI Globla 11.0.9 Stable (PCOMIXM) Edit2: decided to uninstall magisk and did so, afterwards the phone went into twrp so I wiped data and cache and now when I reset the phone to system it goes back to twrp. I am lost completely! [link] [comments]

Power Button on my Mi A2 Lite not working. Posted: 31 Aug 2020 08:46 AM PDT My Mi A2 Lite power button broke and is intermittent on turning on and off the phone. The only way to turn the phone with ease is by the fingerprint scan but I was looking for the double tap option. Is this not available in my model?
