Quotes from reviews Ad OnePlus Nord Posted: 29 Jul 2020 03:58 AM PDT Saw a post on the OnePlus Nord Instagram and they quote The Guardian's review "The rear main camera is great". Shame they left out the later quote "The 2MP macro camera is total rubbish for close-up shots" I know this is standard practice in the industry but it made me laugh. [link] [comments]

Is there a way to import photos from Google Photos to the native gallery app? Posted: 29 Jul 2020 06:37 PM PDT For some reason Facebook will not allow me to use Google Photos when picking pictures. It only allows from Gallery. Since I have 10 years worth of pics in Google and only the pics I've taken with my OP8 in gallery this is a pain in the ass. Any suggestions? [link] [comments]

If you switched from Apple/iPhone to OnePlus, please respond Posted: 29 Jul 2020 08:38 PM PDT I have been seeing so much about the One Plus 8 pro being fantastic and better than the iPhone 11 pro. If you switched to OnePlus from Apple, what are your thoughts? I've been an apple fanboy for a while, have all my purchased apps/etc along with an iPad linked to the phone, but if/when I switch that will all change sadly. This is the only downside imo. OnePlus 8 WiFi issues and OnePlus' lack of response is trash Posted: 29 Jul 2020 08:34 PM PDT The WiFi randomly stops working on all 3 (yes I bought 3 of these) of my OnePlus 8 phones, no issues with my 2 OnePlus 7 Pro 5G phones. I've tried the Mac address filtering, I've tried keeping the Mac address static, I've tried 5ghz and 2ghz, I've tried different routers, nothing works. This is really disappointing, I've seen threads on forums all over regarding this issue and OnePlus seems to keep ignoring it. I'm just about fed up with the lack of support. [link] [comments]
Reliable 3rd-Party Cables for Warp/Dash Charging? Posted: 29 Jul 2020 12:54 PM PDT How's everyone's experience with 3rd party cables such as TITACUTE, and other Amazon sellers offering Warp Charge capable cables? The supplied charger is TERRIBLE for active use as it's so short. I need 6 ft to 10 ft. 4Amps seems to be the standard for after party, but is there a way to use faster charging/USB-PD to charge my devices a little faster than 4 A at least? [link] [comments]
No, Oneplus, this is not a normal amoled issue. Posted: 29 Jul 2020 08:11 PM PDT https://twitter.com/yashonagoD/status/1288545984700538880 It's on oneplus that the display is weird. Samsung and oppo fixed calibration, and sure, oppo is suprisngly a different panel, this is one oneplus. after talkin with XDA devs Max weinbach, he said it isnt very easy to fix this over a software update. Oneplus should work on this, this isnt acceptable. never settle i guess [link] [comments]

Posted: 29 Jul 2020 07:28 PM PDT When can we expect phone updates to give us slight customization of the buds tap functionality? I believe that the 8 and 8 pro got the update (I could be wrong), but I have a 6T and would like to be able to add Google assistant to my touch control to be able to make things a little easier. Question about the oneplus7t charging speed Posted: 29 Jul 2020 06:54 PM PDT Hi I'm charging up my new OnePlus now but the charging speed seems slow in comparison to my OnePlus 5, can anyone tell me why? Is it just first phone getting the hang of things or something worse? Furthermore the battery on it seems to drain, like dropping 10 percent rapidly, I checked the battery manager and nothing unusual is being displayed [link] [comments]
A tale of OP support being subpar. Posted: 29 Jul 2020 12:36 PM PDT So, about 2 months ago I noticed the back of my 6T McLaren was shattered and I had a repair request put in. Filled in all of my info accurately, submitted, and received no confirmation email, nor did the request appear in my account to begin with. Upon punching in another request, the site tells me that the request is already in progress, so I leave it hoping to get an answer. Fast forward two months, no email, no confirmation, nothing in my inbox. Emailed OP support about the problem with all the necessary info. Fast forward one week with no reply over email, go to the support chat. Gave all the info again and now I'm being told that my case is being escalated and i can expect a, you guessed it, email from the support team in the coming days....given the current circumstances I'd be surprised if that happens. Looks like a wild goose chase if I've ever seen one. I get that OnePlus is much smaller in scale in comparison to any other phone company but the quality of support is just piss poor. I'm almost at a point where I'll pay more for a replacement part to install myself if there's no way to get the phone to them. [link] [comments]

OP 8 Pro with 2 Verizon SIMs question Posted: 29 Jul 2020 05:52 PM PDT Hello, I'm new to dual SIM phones. I currently carry a phone for work and for personal, both are Verizon. I realize that the data card needs to be manually switched from research, but will I still be able to get calls and text (both SMS and MMS) from both SIMs without switching data? I would just leave the data card on my personal since I have unlimited but don't want to miss company communications since I'm on call 24/7. I just want to make sure this will work how I imagined reliably before purchasing. I'm in the US which I'm sure was assumed since I have Verizon. [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Jul 2020 05:50 PM PDT So recently my 6 month old one plus 7 pro suddenly stopped giving me crisp wide angle images. I tried all the usuals like wiping the lens and cleaning the cache of the camera app but it just wouldn't focus. So i contacted oneplus support and they said to ship it to a repair center. After more than 2 weeks i get it back and the problem is still there. Nothing has changed. I don't know what to do now since the phone is fairly new and i wasn't planning on upgrading until at least another year. And sending your phone to a repair center is pretty inconvenient. Does anyone have any suggestions for what i should do? Perhaps there is a diy solution. Anything helps thanks. [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Jul 2020 05:45 PM PDT My 7 Pro that I've had for over half a year is getting status bar burn in, im always 50% brightness or less unless it's outside. This seems quite a bit early to me, does OnePlus not pixel shift stationary stuff like 3 button nav and status bar? If not they really really should [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Jul 2020 11:08 AM PDT Are we ever getting the actual android 10 status bar icons on the 6T? We have the old ones still in the current build. [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Jul 2020 04:28 PM PDT I had a long day of walking and when I got home I wanted to check what the step counter shows, but I got sidetracked with washing and changing, then when I finally got to it, it was past midnight and it showed 0. It suddenly became so frustrating this doesn't have a history, how hard was it to include one to the widget in the launcher? [link] [comments]

Posted: 29 Jul 2020 12:11 PM PDT I'm not sure how many people are in the situation I'm in but basically I preordered the Nord and, after that, I was AFK for a few days just to find that my voucher was expired when I attempted to purchase on the 27th. Was there an explicit expiration date? Only reference I found under the terms and conditions is that it would expire after a period but no specific date stated. Just got a mail 2h before expiration that ended up in spam. I'm curious to know if the deadline was stated somewhere and I'm just stupid and didn't realize. In any case, lesson learned, no more preorders in my life. I feel that not stating the date in the original email is pretty unethical and smells not even legal to me. High chances they lost a customer but anyways support doesn't give a fuck. Anyone in a similar position? [link] [comments]
Trying to get specific sound profile Posted: 29 Jul 2020 03:14 PM PDT I have just got the one plus 8 and was wondering if there's a way to set the sound profiles to have volume for ring but silent for notifications doesn't seem to be an option and I'd rather not use a third party app as I like the slider.
