| Posted: 01 Jun 2020 08:07 AM PDT Just let you know guys I always loved MIUI, but the global version is just so much worse then the China ROM, but also the China ROM is not perfect for people who don't live in china. Yesterday I installed the xiaomi.eu MIUI 12 weekly and I'm just impressed. I'm sooo happy to done this 7hours struggle with twrp etc. for the first time. I finally done it and I'm glad I did it. All the features of the China rom, no Google message app etc. But still banking apps etc all working. I don't know what to say, I will never again use the global rom after only one day experience with xiaomi.eu. Just let the Devs know, amazing job!!!!!!!!! [link] [comments]  |

Well, all your help has served me well, thank you for that, I love my new phone and introduction to modern phones (except for the ads... oh my goodness the ads! I was getting 10-20 unskippable Facebook video ads at full volume every day, drives me crazy!). Anyway, I have another question for you all if I may, I saw some people recently using their phones to pay for small things in a supermarket by just touching their phone on a little pad for a second or two. | Posted: 01 Jun 2020 06:44 PM PDT Hello, I got a Xiaomi 9t pro earlier this year and from the get-go it duplicated my contacts on my phone. I use google contacts (those contacts dont duplicate, just the ones in the phone) and have tried syncing and un-syncing my account but it doesn't stop. It does happen less now than earlier but still happens. I also have no merge contact options in the phone contact or google contacts. Does anyone have any suggestions? On an unrelated note (I'm guessing), if I call people occasionally the contact details change. I have had, name changes and phone number changes. Sometimes it just changes the contact details, for example, "John Doe" has a picture set. When I call "John Doe", he could have a default picture instead and sometimes they lose their last name too so I'd be calling "John". Other times the number can be changed (this is really annoying). Say "John Doe" has a phone number of 0412 345 678(I live in Australia so this is a typical number). Sometimes it will call +61412 345 678 which is fine because that's the cellular number. However, more regularly it will try call 412 345 678 or 61412 345 678, these aren't complete numbers and of course, it won't let me call. this will happen multiple times when I try to click on a contact's phone number to call. This is becoming really annoying has anyone had this before and have a fix for it? [link] [comments]  |

| Why are the nav buttons on miui 11 so janky? Posted: 01 Jun 2020 12:52 PM PDT The home button is a lighter shade of grey, than back and recents. Sometimes only the home button shows up, sometimes it disappears. These problems are only visual, buttons still work. When I set a light wallpaper the home button turns a lighter shade of grey than back and recents. When I toggle dark mode, I can only see the home button. It's very unpleasant to the eyes. Full screen gestures seem to lag when swiping up to recents like 30 fps. And it seems to make the phone laggier. Breaking the ui. Hence I've switched to nav bar which is no problem but Is there a fix for this? [link] [comments]  |

I have the body composition scale for a week now, and it's a good weighing scale because of its minimal look and ability to measure the amount of fat, muscle, etc. My only concern is that my mother and I have the same weight according to the scale (not even a change of 0.1 kg). We have almost the same height but when I compare my mom's fat, muscle, etc. analysis to mine, it's visibly different (hers is 94 while mine is 87). My mom and I are really confused on our real weight since we often encounter on this weighing scale that we have the exact same weight. When my mom steps at the weighing scale, and I will step later on, I would get the result of my mom's weight. Can someone help fix this? Thanks in advance! :) [link] [comments]  |

| Netflix patch messed storage permissions Posted: 01 Jun 2020 04:05 PM PDT Canada, updated the last patch that fixed "Netflix " Also messed up a little of app permissions to access the storage. Someone told me that I should choose the one I enjoy the most and I happened to be smartphone fan/enthusiast. So I'm thinking of selling Xiaomi phones as they have best specs for cheapest price. What I'm thinking is I will order phones direct from Xiaomi factory/office and sell it online. I will not have a Xiaomi store, but my house will store phones. The few forum posts I can find online say it does work and it doenst work even using another app (Opencamera). | Posted: 01 Jun 2020 08:26 AM PDT I've had my Redmi Note 7 for about a year now and this is the first time i tried unlocking it,it took me a couple of tries at first to even connect it with the app they make you download. First i had to enable find my device because i kept getting an error at 50%.After enabling that it worked fine,went to 99% and bam. An error again,this time googling didn't help. People have been saying it sometimes told them to ,wait x amount of hours, to be able to unlock it but for me it didn't say that,just an unkown error. Previous Post : https://www.reddit.com/r/Xiaomi/comments/gtwxic/system_destroyed_ota_update_help_needed_redmi/ Problem : USB debugging wasn't enabled, bootloader wasn't unlocked, phone seemingly bricked showing the dreaded "system destroyed message" The official OTA update was the one that caused this problem. Solution : However I did have an Mi Account linked with the device Additional Notes at the bottom A fellow redditor(/u/abc_25674 ), was kind enough to point to me towards MiAssistant and the tutorial for the same. WebArchive Link as these have a tendency to be deleted. The following steps are basically me following the tutorial. Somehow while browsing through translated miui forums I stumbled upon V3.0 and it's translated files. (attached below) I installed these first and started them up and logged in before putting the phone in MiAssistant mode. Do not update this from the prompt, it causes login issue which is required to flash stock images using MiPCSuite. I downloaded the stock rom from : https://in.c.mi.com/in/miuidownload/index Be sure to download the latest version to avoid anti-rollback protection. Booted-up in recovery mode by pressing : Power + Volume Up, while the phone was connected to the computer. The device was finally recognized, and I selected the ROM file which I had downloaded. Except instead of "Quick Flashing" as described in the tutorial which would have caused data loss, I chose to "Flash" the ROM which has some probability of preserving the data. The process failed twice, both time the tool exited citing issues with Recovery mode. I decided to give it one more try, without making any changes and it worked. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Notes : The problem with the official English MiAssistant(now PC Suite) that can be found at pcsuite.mi.com is that it is ancient(last update was in 2015) and doesn't recognize the device when connected through Mi Assistant mode from recovery. However there are other versions in chinese which might help but these are difficult to get working.
