My Experience Using the Oneplus 7 Pro Since May 2019 Posted: 28 Jun 2020 10:34 AM PDT I bought the oneplus 7 pro in may 2019, just 2-3 weeks after it was released because i wanted to watch review before i bought it. Buying this phone was the best thing i ever done. I upgraded from a pixel 2, i had that phone for 8 months. That phone started giving me tons of issues such as the speaker grills would rattle every time i listened to something, or the phone was just overall very slow. So i got this phone transferred all my stuff over, was amazed at how good the phone felt in my hand and just how pretty the display was. The first thing that stuck out to me while and after i set it up and was installing all my applications was, the battery life. It was amazing compared to my pixel. Pixel get 3 hours SOT and it was dead. This phone, even after a year of usage at 90hz and 1080p, I get around 6-7 hours SOT when i don't do anything just too battery intensive. I have not had any issue with the selfie camera, I was kind of concerned about the durability of a moving camera when i bought it. I dont take selfies just that much, but the camera still works perfectly. I was willing to sacrifice to having a pop up camera just to have that full screen display. Even after a year, this phone is just as fast as it was when i bought it. I have even done the test for the display to see color inaccuracy and my display is completely uniform. I definitely would buy a oneplus device again. They make amazing devices for less than the competitors. Comment below what your experience with your 7 pro has been like. [link] [comments] |
How to remove the lock screen Spotify song cover photo. Posted: 28 Jun 2020 12:47 AM PDT I've got the OnePlus 8 and whenever I play songs, the lock screen turns into an ugle stretched out cover art. If there any way I can change this. If I turn off notifications then I lose the ability to change songs from the notification drop down. Its really annoying. Is there a solution? [link] [comments] |
What's a good replacement for the Warp Charge cable for the 7 Pro? Posted: 28 Jun 2020 11:33 AM PDT My original Warp Charge cable is splitting near the type C connector, all wires are exposed and the rubber has completely septated. I've looked online, and OnePlus sells the original for $20, but Amazon choice has one for $7 by Cooya, and with good reviews. Any recommendations for a charger that is less than $20, and supports warp charge? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 28 Jun 2020 06:59 PM PDT I want to use the 7 pro on Verizon. I've figured out that I need the GM1915 model.
If I get it from OP, they only have a 15 day return policy. ??? Pretty short, so I guess they want you to buy the warranty?

Finally have a Oneplus 7t coming! Posted: 28 Jun 2020 06:38 PM PDT Took forever, but ended up buying from banggood to get the 8gb/256gb blue version for $670 CAD all in. Happy! Upgrading from an S9. Now, what tweaks are necessary when receiving it? Curious if there's any must do things. Also, any advice on transferring from my S9? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 28 Jun 2020 07:29 PM PDT Perfect phone except shutter lag. Get lots of blurry shots in low light. Only thing I miss from pixel. Anything can be done to improve in stock camera? [link] [comments] |
UPDATE: "Refund" - The magic word to get supports help Posted: 28 Jun 2020 07:28 PM PDT Previous Thread https://www.reddit.com/r/oneplus/comments/gx15m0/starting_to_get_worried/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x . It is now June 28th, 23 days after the post creation. The replacement phone still has not been delivered to me. I am beyond mad at this point. Got off of support today with some good news. At the current point in time, on oneplus.com (USA WEBSITE), The only phone in stock is the 12gb/256gb onyx black and not the 8gb/128gb Glacial Green. After saying how mad I was to support and saying that "if this goes on any longer I will be requesting a refund", the support agent said that in this special case, I could get shipped the onyx black 12gb/256gb without any upgrade charge(They ship me the onyx black instead of a glacial green). After confirming that this was the case several times, I agreed that this was okay to me(score). The support agent said that the phone will be shipped within the next 48 hours, and if not here is a case id etc. Hopefully they follow through by tuesday night. Has anyone else had similar interactions like this or are waiting on oneplus's lack of stock? [link] [comments] |
Does smart lock not work for anyone else? Posted: 28 Jun 2020 01:37 PM PDT I have my google home location set as a location, I have my address set as a location. Still won't keep my phone unlocked. It works when it's paired to a device. Tested it on my motorcycle helmet com device. Phone is a 6T if that makes any difference. From what I've read on Google, Android 10 broke it? Posted: 28 Jun 2020 11:54 AM PDT What's the likelihood of the Oneplus 7T dropping to $399 at the end of its cycle? After the Oneplus Nord comes out and claims the new low end Oneplus phone that also has 5G, they may want to dump the 7T for a lower price? [link] [comments] |
Is OnePlus 7 Pro worth getting now? Posted: 28 Jun 2020 06:29 AM PDT It's been a while since the phone came out, i've always liked the specs, the speed, the look, the no notch or hole punch display but based on 90% of the reviews the camera was always the weaker point. I wonder if after 1 year since launch something changed in this regard? possibly with software updates and such? Thanks. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 28 Jun 2020 12:27 PM PDT Hello everyone, Anyone of you still uses a oneplus 3 as a daily driver? My OP6 is temporarly dead. While I'm waiting for the replacement parts, I resumed my good old OP3. I've updated all the apps (it has been in the box for the last 2 years), but I feel everything is very very laggy. It works good but it lags a lot while scrolling or loading. Do you have the same impression? I'm with the lastest open beta (39) Thanks! [link] [comments] |
OP 5T after the upgrade to android 10 Posted: 28 Jun 2020 01:46 AM PDT I'm one of those who does not reset the phone after every bigger update. I use it as is and it was the perfect phone before the upgrade. Funny enough after the update it has become even better. Some improvements that I have seen: - longer battery life - informing me which apps use location in background so I can turn that off (probably helping save battery) - even snappier (it just feels faster) - dark mode everywhere (helps with battery I guess as well) Only negative which I still have to figure out how to fix is the back gesture. With the stock case that I have received with it I cannot easily pull from the edge of the screen. Drives me crazy sometimes but all the benefits outweigh this one! [link] [comments] |

No Signal after OP7 Pro Tmobile to International Firmware Flash Posted: 28 Jun 2020 09:08 AM PDT I just flashed my Tmobile OnePlus 7 Pro from the Tmobile firmware to the international firmware using this tutorial. https://www.androidauthority.com/t-mobile-oneplus-7-pro-unlocked-flash-1047861/ Everything seemed to go fine except that I'm stuck on Android 9 (I was Android 10) without a way to update and I don't have any signal anymore. Any suggestions? Phone was working fine before I did this. [link] [comments] |
best screen protector for a serial phone killer? (on oneplus 8) Posted: 28 Jun 2020 04:07 PM PDT I've killed 2 phones in a week before, it's bad. Luckily they were iPhones but anyways, just ordered a OnePlus 8 and am looking to get a screen protector. Probably tempered glass but I don't want to decrease sensitivity or fingerprint scanning. Obvs as its a less mainstream phone and OnePlus have so many models I'm having a hard time finding one. Any recommendations? [link] [comments] |
Unsure where to buy a Oneplus 7 Pro (GM1917) for use in US with Verizon Posted: 28 Jun 2020 04:00 PM PDT I have been looking for a new phone for about a month now and for the last 2 weeks I've had my heart set on the Oneplus 7 Pro. I hadn't looked for anywhere selling it and now I'm in a situation where I need to decide if I want to keep looking or buy. Today I looked on amazon and ebay and had a tough time finding the model GM1917 (i am under the impression that this model is unlocked and will work with verizon in the US) at a reasonable price. I looked at the Facebook marketplace and I saw some used for more reasonable prices but I don't like the idea of buying a phone from facebook marketplace (afraid I might get scammed or the device will be faulty and I wont be able to return it). I would really like to buy new but it doesnt look like it is being sold internationally anymore. Am I missing something, is there a way I could buy an international unlocked Oneplus 7 Pro from the website or some other reputable source? Thanks in advanced [link] [comments] |
What's the next closest replacement? Posted: 28 Jun 2020 07:05 AM PDT I'm sad, but I have to accept that I may have to leave OnePlus. With the perks at my new job with Charter, I can get free mobile service. Spectrum's service runs on Verizon's towers, and we all know those don't work with our phones. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 27 Jun 2020 10:33 PM PDT Yesterday the google search bar widget automatically turned white , it was dark earlier. In google settings > customize widget , it shows it is black but on screen it is white. Any solutions? [link] [comments] |

My Oneplus 7 Pro overheats very fast lately when playing games. Posted: 27 Jun 2020 10:48 PM PDT I could play many hours before without any heating, but lately it gets extremely hot from just 15 minutes of gaming. What is the cause? [link] [comments] |
Is the OnePlus 8 facing display issues? Posted: 28 Jun 2020 02:40 AM PDT I'm planning to buy a OnePlus phone tomorrow, I am planning to get the OnePlus 8 pro ( 12 GB, 256 GB). But I recently heard that OP8 Pro users are facing display issues. How often are you guys facing this problem, and how is OnePlus dealing with it? Is OP8 facing the same problem too? Is there any gesture to open the quick settings menu? Posted: 28 Jun 2020 02:08 PM PDT Recently switched from the 5t to the 8 Pro, and I'm really missing being able to swipe down on the fingerprint reader to open the quick settings menu. I never use Assistant, so that swipe up from corner gesture would be a perfect place to put it for me. The double click/hold power button would also be convenient. [link] [comments] |
