| DAE have issues with notifications from messaging apps Posted: 06 May 2020 12:21 PM PDT One of my favorite things about Android is how it handles notifications. With Android 11 coming a Conversations section in the notification shade I was initially excited but then I remembered how frustrating messaging notifications are from some apps. The gold standard is Google Messages which sends the full message in a notification and shows multiple messages. On the other hand, apps like FB Messenger, WhatsApp, and Instagram Direct all only show 1-2 lines of a message before cutting off and only show the latest message which is extremely annoying. Is there any way to fix this or is it just up to the developers to update their apps which seem unlikely [link] [comments]  |

| looking for an app that will ACCURATELY tell me how much storage I have remaining on my SD card Posted: 06 May 2020 08:42 AM PDT Android 9, settings>storage has told me that my micro SD card is at 128/128 for about the last 30 gigabytes. My guess is maybe there's a recycle bin or something that gets overridden but the card counted or something but it hasn't giving me an accurate figure for remaining storage for a while now. total commander keeps giving me different numbers depending on where I am in the app and sometimes different numbers on the home screen. I thought this was probably accurate but I don't really know anymore. I know my card is legit, I just Dubbo why it's apparent so hard to tell me exactly how much storage I have remaining, would love to know so I know when to stop downloading to it [link] [comments]  |

I have been recording lessons and then using Video Pad video editor to add lower-thirds to the videos in post. | Posted: 06 May 2020 01:31 PM PDT I've been searching for adjustable and not strictly note app with todo and reminder. The later two were not really necessary but the following definitely were (decreasing priory order): 1) open source 2) desktop version available 3) sync and export for backup 4) encryption I tried joplin, standard notes, simple notes and silent notes. Of all these silent notes is by far my favourite. All the features(note and todo but no reminder. None of them have it btw) I need plus it's more customisable. But I'm sad to see that it has a small userbase in play store. This also makes me paranoid about whether the developer might abandon this soon rather than later. If it has a decent number of users, then the Dev could ask for donations and possibly take care of financial hurdles. As such, I'm leaving this post here in hopes of more people trying it out.
