Got an update popup on 9T.

    Posted: 25 Apr 2020 05:33 AM PDT

It says security update to march 2020 and app lock update, which I don't care because I don't use app lock. I'm tempted to update but before that did someone notice any bugs in this update? Sidenote: this was a surprise update amidst the current situation. thx to xiaomi

    Poco f1 not quick charging

    Posted: 25 Apr 2020 07:23 PM PDT

After I left it overcharge for like 3 hours ( I thought it will not effect the battery ) it stopped quick charging. It still shows the 2 lightning bolt symbol but charging is now very slow compared to before. I use the official adapter and cable out of the box I never attempted to charge it via other adapters. What happened? Is my cable port faulty? Or is it the official adapter? Is there a way to fix it myself?

Frequent Glitch when Swiping up to exit App

    Posted: 25 Apr 2020 12:00 PM PDT

    https://i.imgur.com/tWkzUeO.jpg

When swiping up to exit an app, sometimes, let's say once ever 20 times I exit an app, this glitch happens.

Does it happen to anyone else as well?

And I've noticed this has been happening since an update since around January I think (which was just another security update).

I have the Mi Note 10.

My Mi 9T gives random dates to downloaded images

    Posted: 25 Apr 2020 07:41 PM PDT

Whenever I save pictures from different apps like chrome and Reddit it never shows the actual date of when I downloaded the image. It saves as a 2010 or 2012 file. (https://imgur.com/a/OFN0qJU). Hard to explain this problem but has anyone else experienced this and knows how to fix it?

Looking for a new phone and need help

    Posted: 25 Apr 2020 10:17 PM PDT

I currently have a Mix 2s and have had it since a few months after the global version went on sale (2-3 years about). My battery is not as great as it once was and I'm looking for an upgrade.

Some things I want would be: - AMOLED - Wireless charging - 90hz-120hz (not sure if any xiaomi phones offer that) - solid camera - good battery life

Are there any xiaomi phones that offer what I'm looking for? There are so many models and I've lost track. Thanks!

Does Reading mode in MIUI just put a tint over the screen or does it turn of blue leds?

    Posted: 25 Apr 2020 04:54 PM PDT

I've read somewhere that inbuild blue light filter mods turn blue leds off, while the ones on the Play Store put a tint over your display. Is this true? Does MIUI's inbuilt one turn off the blue leds or does it tint the screen?

Pocophone won't connect by USB to a PC

    Posted: 25 Apr 2020 08:20 PM PDT

It's currently running MIUI 11.0.4. When connected by USB (to a Windows 10 PC) the traditional pulldown menu for file transfer options does not appear. It will just charge instead. I'm transferring a bunch of 4K video files and would rather not do it over the cloud.

So far, I've tried the following:

    -Enabled Developer Options

    -Enabled USB debugging

-Set the Default USB Configuration as as "File Transfer"

-Tried with different cables on different computers

-Installed ADB and Qualcomm drivers, as well as the MiPCSuite

-I even gave the USB-C port a good clean with IPA and compressed air

Auto screen lock when covered? mi 9t pro

    Posted: 25 Apr 2020 01:42 PM PDT

I used to have a samsung galaxy s8 and it had a pretty good feature that I thought was standard on every phone. Every time the screen was covered, like when you put the phone in your pockets or when you were talking on it and held it against your ear, the screen would lock so you wouldn't accidentally press anything. For some reason my 9t pro does not do this and its extremely annoying, especially when Im on the phone with someone and Im pulling down all kinds of menus by mistake without knowing it.

Is this because there isnt any conventional front camera so that the phone cant "sense" that the screen is covered?

Redmi Note 8 Global dropping calls etc.?

    Posted: 25 Apr 2020 01:22 PM PDT

This is my mom's phone and I think it's not on latest update but not the oldest one either. It's newer MIUI with google dialer and everything.

For some reason it just hangs up mid call and switches to speakerphone. Is it maybe a proximity sensor bug? Though I did try it with my finger and I can see screen blacked out when it's close to ear. It's so weird and happens every now and then. Often actually. Did they maybe address something about proximity sensor in call in later updates or is it a known bug?

    Xiaomi Mi Play

    Posted: 25 Apr 2020 11:44 AM PDT

    Hi guys!

After a factory reset, the phone stucks in a load screen. It gets to 70%, or 90% then get back to Mi Logo... and then begings it all over and over. Stops only when battery is drained. When i put it on charge, the loop automatically begins.

I can't get to recovery mode. The phone doesn't turn on, VOL -/+ POWER doens't work too.

    Can someone help me?

p.s.: Please let me know if the post its in a wrong place.

    Mi 9T Pro worth buying?

    Posted: 25 Apr 2020 12:45 PM PDT

I killed my MiMix 3 (turns out the slider screen is the weak point after all lol) and I need a new phone. I loved the full screen no-notch display on my Mix 3, I just can't stand notches and I don't like punch-hole design either.

When the K20 Pro was announced I was thinking about switching. Now I'm thinking about buying the Mi 9T Pro, but is it a good phone to get in 2020? My greatest concern here is battery life because - apart from the structural weak point that is the sliding display - was by far my biggest issue with the Mix 3. Didn't even last 3h screen-on after only a year of (heavy) use, sometimes less than 2h when I played games, and that's just not acceptable for me. Hoping to get some real-life user input.

I'm inclined to wait for the K30 Pro Global (Mi 10T Pro or Poco F2 or whatever it's gonna be) but there's no news about it on the horizon.
