| Posted: 28 Apr 2020 07:13 PM PDT I was 95% going to buy a 2020 iPhone SE until I saw one or two reviews on it then I realized the battery on the SE sucks dong as well as the small screen. If they would've removed 95% of the bezel to show more screen then I might've gotten it even with the crappy battery life. I probably would've spent a lot more money than I needed to if I went with an iPhone (smart watch, battery case, some other huge quality of life shit that Apple would charge up the ass, etc.) With that said I still might switch to an iPhone but I might take gander at the Pixel 4A. It should come out soon right? Could Google make some last minute changes and make it more enticing to get a Pixel 4A rather than an iPhone SE? If I do choose Apple/phone the biggest thing I'd miss is freely moving files from my PC to my phone and vice versa. Hope there is a work around for this. [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 28 Apr 2020 03:47 PM PDT Hello, today i factory reset my phone j6+, and let it drain at 19% after i put it on charger to full charge, i noticed it was 91% and i brb for 2 minutes it was 100% and okay i didnt expect to drain battery like before factory reset, i was watching tech videos at youtube 720p, for 20min the battery indicator was 100% after 20min of use, i get confused and list reddit to find a fix for this. I restarted phone couple of times, it still on 100% and i turn off phone put it on charger, and it was showing 100% and after i turn on my phone i realised it was unstuck, but im curious why is reason of that, and what i need to do to prevent that, and what i need to be carefull about? I could do it on my OnePlus 3T Android 8 phone but can't do it on my Android 9.0 Huawei P30 Pro. Google only shows these steps but Navigation is not an option: Open Settings on your phone. Select "Apps & notifications," and then "Default apps." Tap on the one that is currently default (e.g., Google Maps). Select Waze as your default. But there is no way to do this... | Chat heads not working while DND is on Posted: 28 Apr 2020 10:55 PM PDT Hey guys, title basically says it all. Up until recently, Messenger chat heads worked perfectly even while Do Not Distrub mode was on. I've updated my A50 to Android 10 a few weeks ago, but this bug(?) didn't happen until a few days ago. It's very annoying. It used to be that even while DND was on, the chat heads still showed up. I've tried fiddling with notification settings (checking "Ignore DND" and such), but nothing seems to work. Also tried clearing cahce and restarting the phone. Is there any way to fix this or did Anroid (or Messenger) kill this very convenient behavior? Thanks! [link] [comments]  |

Tonight when I got home I realized it had not counted the distance so I'm guessing I do need it on or maybe data will work as well. | Unable to pin apps to homescreen Posted: 28 Apr 2020 10:00 PM PDT Honestly i've had this issue for months, but i rarely install anything i use often so i've just taken it on the chin. I'm running the microsoft launcher on Huawei mate 20 pro, and if i long hold, and select "Pin to homescreen", nothing happens. There is a workaround, where if i scroll down to the app in the app drawer, and drag it, i can do it, but recently my camera app disappeared from my launch tray, and it's not included in the app drawer, so i'm kind of at a loss how to get to the cmera without searching for the app name every time. | Do Not Disturb won't stay on: Post 2 Electric Boogaloo Posted: 28 Apr 2020 09:36 PM PDT I posted a few days ago about my Samsung A50 not staying on Do Not Disturb through the night. After trying some suggestions I am truly stumped!! I put it in do not disturb at night and when I wake up it is off, even when I: - Schedule it - Turn off scheduling and just have it on manually - Used bixby to schedule DND - Boot the phone into safe mode - Checked special access to make sure no apps have permission to change DND setting, including in the secure folder At this point I'm probably going to have to factory reset but if there's someone out there who might know what's causing this I would be thrilled to know! | Samsung S9+ Sprint Text Messaging Problems Posted: 28 Apr 2020 05:46 PM PDT Hello. I have been having huge problems with text messages lately. I have been using the Android messages app. I use Sprint, Samsung Galaxy S9+. These are my problems. 1) I either do not receive messages at all. or they come very delayed. Often times if it is in a group message. I have to individually "download" the message to add it to the group. 2) There are some individuals who I text directly. They receive my texts. but I do not receive anything back! Regarding problem #2, it is both from android and iphone phones. This is extremely frustrating and making me quite angry. I missed a very important covid hospitalization and people thought mistakenly I was being very callous. (Thankfully, my friends understand the problem) Does anyone have any suggestions? | Posted: 28 Apr 2020 07:44 PM PDT My current phone, which is an LG K10 running Android 7, uses Roboto for English content and Noto for others. For Korean text, that looks like this: https://i.imgur.com/MTcgZ2i.png On the LG G8X with Android 9 which I've just bought, it's using some font I don't recognize, and more importantly, I hate: https://i.imgur.com/65ej8Ce.png Changing the system font seems to only affect the native UI elements and leaves the content of the webview alone: https://i.imgur.com/XAdTYKV.png I've been reading around and it seems the only way to really change fonts on Android is to root. I think it's pretty appalling that such drastic measures are required to do something so basic, but I'd be willing to do it because I am vengeful. But, it looks like the G8X isn't even on LG's list of devices that support bootloader unlocking and thus cannot be rooted (I would love to be wrong about this). This font issue is just one in a very long list of complaints I've been developing over the past few days as I try to get this phone up to my standards, and I'm starting to resent it as I continue to encounter roadblock after roadblock. I would be very happy to hear any suggestions or workarounds. Otherwise, enjoy watching as I try to deal with this buyer's remorse.
