Giving Away 100 codes for my AI android app! Posted: 02 Apr 2020 04:41 AM PDT Hi Guys I Recently Released my latest android app called Rize - Summarize Text Rize is an app that lets users paste in text or a URL that contains a tone of text the user cant be asked to read. Rize will then summarize the given URL or text into a nice simple readable paragraph within seconds! Please feel free to message me ideas/bugs etc and feel free to leave a review! I gave a load of codes away on our last post. Since then the app has changed a lot thanks to you guys and your feedback! So keep it up. A suggestion that has come up a lot is adding the share feature to my app so you can use it directly from your browser if anyone is willing to help me with it would be well appreciated as I have tried many times to implement this. If there is anybody whos an android studio genius who could help me implement this it would be great! The share feature will be added soon but with help, it will be implemented faster. About myself: - I'm 15 years old and I'm the developer of the app. - Yes I'm 15 (not many people believe this!) I made Rize to try and make some money to help my younger brother (he's got severe autism) and is being left behind (academically) at his school so my family and I are desperately trying to save our money to try and send him to a special school but at the moment we can't afford it! -- If you wish to support our cause please buy the app the money all goes to my brother!-- Please leave it 5 stars if you like it! For those of you searching for a replacement to dark sky (RIP), I may have found it. Posted: 02 Apr 2020 05:58 AM PDT The UX is similar enough to dark sky that I personally like it, plus it's developed by a single independent dev. I'm not affiliated with the dev, just like the app and thought it could be helpful to others to share). The app currently uses a combination of dark sky and one other app as it's weather source, but the dev has posted that he plans on adding more sources in the future, possibly even AccuWeather. I'm hoping he is able to add AccuWeather because of their minute-cast, which is similar to dark sky's hyper local forecasting. Anyone know a decent Android app for cloning apps that can create a shortcut on the home screen? Posted: 02 Apr 2020 09:02 AM PDT I'm trying to run two Spotify accounts at the same time (family members) on the same device. Parallel Space would do it, but it won't clone Spotify for some reason. Anyone know of any others? Thanks in advance! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Apr 2020 05:04 PM PDT Installed but still never used zoom to see some friends these days. Then I started reading about issues, privacy, vulnerabilities .. Is Zoom so bad, or it just needs a bit of polishing after this big increase in video chat usage? [link] [comments] |

[REQUEST] Weather app with rain timeline widget Posted: 02 Apr 2020 01:24 PM PDT Well, looks like I'm getting screwed over by Dark Sky. I ride a motorcycle, so I really need a quick look at the upcoming rain forecast. Dark Sky has an amazing widget for this which shows only an hourly timeline of rain probability and strength. It was a simple 1x5 layout that I put in the Oxygen OS shelf. Is there a weather app with a similar widget? Are there any app devs who are super responsive/open to requests? [link] [comments] |
Looking for a Mostly Skill-Based Online Multiplayer Game Posted: 02 Apr 2020 02:50 AM PDT Hi all, I am looking for a good online multiplayer game that doesn't have anypay to win features. Something like rocket league where it's almost entirely skill based. There are a bunch of decent online golf games for example but you can buy better clubs/balls etc. and it drives me crazy. I prefer sports games but can be any genre really! [link] [comments] |

Serious Writing On An Android Smartphone Posted: 02 Apr 2020 07:21 AM PDT TL;DR: Does anyone use their smartphone exclusively for serious writing of any kind? Longer Read: I've been using Android devices to product long form written content and things like fliers for years, with and without a bluetooth keyboard, using apps which render markdown, html and css as opposed to using office type software, together with text expansion tools. People think I'm nuts. I used to think it's because they've seen office suites and how universally bad the user interface is on them and the fact that using them is slow and awkward, but even when I explain how I work, they still think I'm nuts. It's reached the point where I wonder if I'm the only one doing so. Using Epsilon Notes, Texpand Plus, HTML, CSS and MarkDown I can produce virtually any kind of document much quicker than I ever could even on a full laptop using traditional software, which is why I do it via mobile devices. I appreciate the fact that it's so different and that not everyone knows HTML and CSS can make it seem alien to people, but it seems to be more than that. (I also use Type Machine for automatic versioning, backup and drafting with automatic clean up disabled) People seem to be passionately opposed to the production of long form content on a mobile device for some reason. I've literally had someone on the phone, we've been talking about them needing a signed letter for some reason or another, I've quickly created one, sent it off, they've commented on how quiet my keyboard is/how quickly I can type, I've told them I did it on my phone and have them call me a liar and get really quite angry about it when I deny the accusation. So, I'm wondering, does anyone else produce long form written content on a mobile phone? If so, what do you use? Do you face disbelief and/or hostility when people become aware of you doing so? How do you handle it if you do? [link] [comments] |

Looking for simple video editor Posted: 02 Apr 2020 02:22 AM PDT Hi, looking for a very simple video editor. I only put together up to 5 short clips to one video and need an different overlay title for each clip. This should be done easy, so i can select whole clips for a title and don't need to put time sliders to the exact beginning and end as they are often very similar. Also it should handle 9:16, vertical video good as in and output. I tried the following: Action Director: OK but can't select whole clips for the title. In Shot: can't create real 9:16 Youcut: Best so far, but i don't like the white theme of the app and the ads Androvid: title editing not so easy [link] [comments] |

Leakcanary? Why is it in my apps? What is it? Posted: 02 Apr 2020 08:26 AM PDT For some reason there was an app called leakcanary installed. I could not find it in my apps to uninstall, But it kept linking to Amazon music when I would hold down on the app to get app info. So I uninstalled Amazon music and the leakcanary went away too. Any ideas what happened, should I be concerned? [link] [comments] |

Is it possible to prevent a hide app from being searched? Posted: 02 Apr 2020 07:48 AM PDT There's the option to hide apps from the app drawer, but in that case the app can still be searched and found in the app drawer. App that asks you why you've opened up another app? Posted: 02 Apr 2020 07:46 AM PDT There's an app called acture that makes a popup with textbox asking you why you've unlocked your phone (to prevent mindless browsing etc). But is there any app that does that when you open up an app in particular? Or something that makes custom notifications when you open up an app? [link] [comments] |

How can I know what data my app record and send to its company? Posted: 01 Apr 2020 11:38 PM PDT I'd like to know what information App X records and send them to the company. I tried using a firewall app to see if it sends anything out, which it did. But the information on the firewall app is pretty much the IP address or the server that it communicated with. Is there a way that I can determine
