- USBC TO ETHERNET GRAPHICS ISSUE? Brand new laptop. When plugging in my external Ethernet port and changing adaptor setting I noticed that the words appear bold and a little fuzzy? (Honestly doesn’t look like an issue with the picture I took) Please advise. New laptop: Dell - Inspiron 17.3" 7000

Posted: 27 Feb 2020 11:57 AM PST Sooo... I sent my motherboard for repair, turns out pins on the CPU socket were bent, replaced the socket, got it back. Tested it, everything works, except for any form of internet connection. No Ethernet no WiFi, nothing. WiFi and cables were tested on different devices and worked. Sent the motherboard back to tech support for my internet not working. Said they tested it intensively and on the test rigs everything seemed to work. So, doesn't that leave only one possible outcome, namely my CPU being broken? It can't be any drives, the GPU or the RAM, so that would only leave my CPU if my motherboard is functioning just fine, right? I'll test again when I get it back, but I fear my CPU has partially departed from this world [link] [comments] | ||

External USB3.0 HDDs slowing down boot time Posted: 27 Feb 2020 10:42 AM PST Hello everyone, I have an issue with my external hdds. My problem started when i realise that my 2 external HDDs disks slowing down booting process. My main disk is an SSD and my os boots from there. While i removed both HDDs from boot priority and as a boot selection it still take longer for booting OS. It seems my motherboard runs a POST check till one of my HDDs(3TB with external power) runs at full rpm and then boots normally. When i tried booting without HDDs it took about 25 seconds and with the HDDs it tooks about 40. I have Asus rog stix X370-F and althought i seached on UEFI setting i havent found anything else could solve this issue. Does anyone know if i can disable specific usb ports till my system boots or anything else could help improve booting times(i dont want to remove my disks completelly and plug them manually). Stuck in endless reboot loop of Windows 10 Posted: 26 Feb 2020 03:22 PM PST I recently got a new laptop a Medion P17815. I was having some troubles with my storage devices so I tried to do a factory reset. When the reset was about 70% done my laptop was accidentally powered off. When I tried to turn it back on again I'm met with and endless loop of "Choose operating system" with the exact same two options "Windows 10 on volume 5". Both options are the exact same. No matter which one I choose the laptop goes into a black screen, and then loads back into the same "choose an operating system" screen. Help???? [link] [comments] |
