I used to be able to mute games so I could listen to music or podcasts in the background. About a week ago, something happened and this is no longer possible. Now whenever I open a game, even when muted, it overrides the music or podcast and pauses it. How can I return my settings to normal? I don't understand what changed. This phone comes with the WLAN configuration stated at the title. As far as I know, with /ac this phone should be able to detect 5ghz network, but it doesn't. When i checked at the router's config. It showed that this device is using: type [n]. It only connects to 2.4 ghz wifi. My router is both 2.4 and 5, with different names each one. Hope anybody can help me. | My phone is switching letters around when I text. Autocorrect? Posted: 05 Feb 2020 09:20 PM PST This only happens when I send texts, not web browsers or other text-based stuff. But I would text something like "lol" and then half a second later it changes to "llo" as I type the rest of the message. My assumption is that this is an auto correct thing, where when I misspelled it enough times it ends up remembering the mistake and changes to that. It's not super frequent, but just frequent enough that I need help turning this off, or find a fix for this. Because it is really annoying. [link] [comments]  |
| Can't calibrate my battery. Any ideas? Posted: 05 Feb 2020 04:50 PM PST I've had the battery on my phone replaced twice now (it's an Xperia Z3, so it's pretty old at this point). The battery life is fine but it will quickly run down to what it reports as 1% and then stay at that point for hours until it finally shuts down. I've tried multiple full recharges but it refuses to adjust (however it still correctly reports cell voltage). I'm on non-rooted 6.0.1 if it makes any difference. [link] [comments]  |

| Thinking about switching from iOS to Android and have a few questions Posted: 05 Feb 2020 08:03 PM PST So, I've been using iOS in its various forms for over a decade. There's nothing wrong with it, I'm just bored and would like to shake things up. I like the look of the Note 10 , but I have a few questions you guys might be able to answer the store can't. I have mostly stuck with iOS because my personal life is knee deep in the Apple ecosystem. Due to that my biggest concerns are about losing certain apps/features in a switch. The biggest things that have kept me on iOS are iMessage and FaceTime, and Safari, Files and iPhoto (those last three because of their integration with my other Apple devices). So, to the first two, is there a way to use iMessage and FaceTime on an Android? I know that Android has its own version, but for my needs, is there a way that the person on the other end would functionally have no idea that I'm using an Android? To the other three, can you get those for Android? I have little to no interest in setting up another cloud storage account so the iCloud files App is sort of a necessary for me. I like that I can look at something on my phone and then pick up where I left off on another device, so I'd like if I can use Safari. Lastly, I take a lot of photos with my phone and it is super helpful that I don't have to upload or transfer them, can you use iPhoto on Android? Sorry for the long post with specific questions. I just don't want to drop a bundle on a phone to discover I can't do things and still owe them the criminal "restocking fee." tldr- Is there a way to download or side load apps to Android such that you can use iMessage, FaceTime, Safari, iCloud Files, and iPhoto? | Posted: 05 Feb 2020 04:04 PM PST I've been struggling with this for 48 hours now. This is ridiculous. I have tried messing with the settings in both apps, but nothing works. The only thing that does work however, is if I load up the google chrome search results in desktop view instead of mobile and then click on the video, which then loads up the youtube app like I want. If i switch back to mobile view in the google chrome search results and click on the video, google chrome itself plays the video. That's where I'm at right now. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, restarted my phone, change set by defaults and open app stuff in the settings of both apps and nothing works. I've exhausted all ideas. I'm begging for help. Posted: 05 Feb 2020 07:47 PM PST Phones + carrier (Both Canadian carriers): LGV20 (Fido mobile) Samsung Galaxy 7 edge (Public Mobile) On occasion, a text sent from the LGV20 (using Textra) is not received or received out of order by the Galaxy 7 (using stock SMS app). This problem is only from V20 to Galaxy7. The main problem we face is that we don't know whos phone or carrier is at fault for this issue. We would like any suggestions to fix this issue. Any help on the matter would be appreciated. Extra info: - Below each of the V20 messages shows a 'Sent' signature. This was turned on in Textra. But I suspect the possibility that the signature and the actual time of sending may differ if the V20 is at fault. - We have restarted our phones, which does help, but it does not fix it long term. - I have turned off the battery optimization for the Textra app for the V20. Have yet to turn off optimization for the Galaxy7. Turning off battery op for V20 has not fixed the issue. - Not all texts are delayed and out of order. I would estimate a 1/20 of our text strings result in the V20 texts being delayed or sent out of order. - The text conversation between the two phones is fairly long and has not been deleted. | Samsung phone doesn't want to turn on for a while. Posted: 05 Feb 2020 07:01 PM PST I have a Samsung A50 and it randomly stops working for a day or 2, then it works perfectly fine again. My phone can be at 100% and it just goes blank and it won't recharge for another day. I try charging it and it's unresponsive. I'm guessing it's an issue with the battery and was wondering what to do? I also had some viruses with the phone and wondering if that could have affected it? I went into flags and enabled the duet option again, but I can't figure out how to make the new tab button move to the bottom as well? Posted: 05 Feb 2020 06:28 PM PST So I use my phone as a tethering device to access the internet on my PC, but apparently when I have my phone plugged in it wont recognize that it's connected to a PC. My computer also isn't able to detect my phone, but it'll connect to my girlfriend's s6, which leads me to believe it's something to do with my settings or phone. Having to go into the accessibility menu every time I want to take a picture is a pain in the ass though, so is there any way to have it automatically toggle off for some apps?
