Why the OnePlus 7 (not Pro) is so underrated? Posted: 31 Jan 2020 06:34 AM PST Got it back in June. Beautiful display, amazing battery life, perfect size, smooth edges, stereo speakers, good camera and never a slow-down. And still, nobody talks about it. Why? No hate for the 7 Pro, I think it's an amazing device but the motorized camera, the size and the curved edges are not for me. [link] [comments] |
OP7 pro haptic vibration weakness issue, looking for some feedback from other owners Posted: 31 Jan 2020 07:19 PM PST So I got my OP7 pro about two weeks ago and when I first booted up the device I was pretty impressed with most of it including the strong vibration. In the past few days I've been noticing that it feels alot weaker, maybe by as much as half of what it felt like initially. One thing in particular that confirms my feelings is that when I switch the rumble strength between "medium" and "strong" it feels EXACTLY the same. "Strong" isn't any stronger than medium. I'd like to know if the haptic motor is degrading or if maybe this is just a symptom of the latest software updates. Can any other owners comment if they have noticed any lessening of the rumble over time? Is there any difference for you when you test between medium and strong vibration in your settings? To test: Settings> sound & vibration> phone/sms ringtone and vibration> Vibration intensity Thinking about RMA'ing the phone. [link] [comments] |
Which would you prefer: wireless charging, or a screen with no notch/cut-out? Posted: 31 Jan 2020 10:08 AM PST Oneplus 7 Pro owner here: there are a lot of great things about this phone, but likely the most desirable and unique element is the pop-up camera and the full, unblemished screen it makes possible. Without that, I probably wouldn't have jumped ship from Samsung, even though I do also prefer Oneplus's update schedule and lighter Android customization as well. My wireless charging dock has been gathering dust on my bedside table since last summer (I guess I should put it away), and although I do miss being able to just rest my phone on it, plugging in a phone once at night seems like much less of a big deal than would having a hole or notch in my screen, which I look at for hours per day. I guess OnePlus is betting on folks preferring wireless charging and being willing to live with a screen cut-out, which I find surprising, but maybe my preference is the exception? OP Bullets Wireless 2 Earbuds fall out constantly, any fix? Posted: 31 Jan 2020 03:33 PM PST I've tried different buds, spin fits helped a little. I'm thinking of glueing or somehow trying to add some actual wingtips to help them stay in. Has anyone had this issue and/or come up with a creative solution? [link] [comments] |
My phone recognizes my brother and unlocks! Posted: 31 Jan 2020 03:01 PM PST Hi, After updating to the latest version on my OnePlus 6, the phone now recognizes his face as mine and unlocks the phone. I don't remember this happening ever before. We can reproduce this constantly every time we try. He is not my twin and we don't look that alike. I see this as a serious security issue and everyone should be aware of it. We are also able to reproduce this 100% on OnePlus 3, OxygenOS 9.0.6. Doesn't matter which one adds their face to the phone, the other one is able to unlock it 100% of the time. [link] [comments] |
Good docking station for Oneplus 7 to charge quickly? Posted: 31 Jan 2020 09:34 AM PST Trying to get my setup a bit more organised and have a more formal place for my phone instead of just tossed around my room, so I was looking for a docking station for the phone to powered by either a plug or my computer (I don't need the data transfer). Now I can't seem to work out if any of these docking stations support quick charge so was wondering if people here had any suggestions. [link] [comments] |
Poor Experience with OnePlus Service Centres Posted: 31 Jan 2020 06:29 AM PST Hi. Anyone else had a poor experience with the Oneplus Service Centres in Europe? Phone has/had three issues. Couldn't connect to Sim 2 voicemail. Wifi Drop out. Powered off and wouldn't charge for 3 days. Tried to resolve on the phone three times, no joy. They decide the phone needs to go for hardware repair. Phone immaculate, photos taken, sent off. Today, I have the following issues with Oneplus.
So they are saying the fact that they are offering to replace a phone that they can't fix, and has been damaged by them, makes up for all the hassle that I've had. There is no option to get a oneplus 7t pro (which today is on their website as a £49 difference to the oneplus 7 pro) Apple after 3 failed repairs simply shipped you the new model of the device and said sorry. Oneplus seems to think that having 4 goes and then not being able to replace the phone with even the same colour is ok. Is this poor service? Have I been spoiled by Apples good service? Posted: 31 Jan 2020 07:12 PM PST When opening the camera it stutters/freezes/won't work shortly after, it will crash and change my background to the default wallpaper. Also having multiple apps open (like Spotify in the background, and opening Instagram) will crash others. Also apps like Snapchat and others that require the camera crash and have extremely bad lag. Anyone else having these issues and have a fix? (I reset the phones cache, have not factory reset) [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 Jan 2020 02:55 PM PST So far so good!! Really like it over my old S8. Do you guys have any tips or tricks that you can't live without? Please tell me, it's my first OnePlus phone so even the smallest thing could be useful, thanks in advance!!! [link] [comments] |
Anyone here use Sprint with the One Plus 7 Pro? Posted: 31 Jan 2020 06:14 PM PST My Pixel died, and I wanted to use the Sim with my phone. I looked up the Sprint SIM chart and didn't see One Plus listed : https://www.sprint.com/content/dam/sprint/us/en/campaigns/byod/compatible-sims-2019/compatible-phones-sims.pdf Anyone who uses Sprint, do you know which SIM type works with the phone? My old Pixel XL used to use the Type A SIM [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 Jan 2020 02:28 PM PST Hi I just received my one plus 7 pro and noticed that the typc C port wobbles even with slight force. Although to take out the charging cable from type c port on phone it seems tight. Is this normal? Thank you [link] [comments] |
7t & 7 pro same price, which should I buy? Posted: 31 Jan 2020 05:48 PM PST They are about the same price where I live and am torn on which one I should buy? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 Jan 2020 05:28 PM PST It seems like the new EU law would effect OnePlus chargers, as they don't confine to the new rule. Am I wrong in thinking that the new law will effect OnePlus warp charging? [link] [comments] |
Will the oneplus 7 pro restock? Posted: 31 Jan 2020 09:40 AM PST I was really looking foward to buying one soon since my paycheck is coming but i saw they are out of stock... Will they restock? [link] [comments] |
Wha's the difference between OP7 Pro versions? Posted: 31 Jan 2020 04:58 PM PST Hi everyone... I'm going to buy a OP7 Pro and I was wondering what are the main differences between the versions available... Since the official shop from OP has no stock for the 7Pro I was looking on Amazon and other pages and saw many different models... I mainly saw the GM 1910, 1917 and 1900... I saw those numbers correspond to their region... But I want to know the difference between them... [link] [comments] |
Is there a way to force 16:9 aspect ratio in apps? Posted: 31 Jan 2020 04:56 PM PST Bought a 6T a year ago for VR and couldn't get it to work because the 18:9 aspect ratio messes with convergence in the Cardboard app. Can I force 16:9 in any way? [link] [comments] |
Not even flagships are supported anymore? Posted: 31 Jan 2020 12:27 PM PST So it seems, that even 7T pro only got 1 update since release and now everyone already plans O+8. No horizon light update, no hyped battery save charging, no amoled black mode, no camera updates, no always on display, no auto brightness fix, no other support for latest and greatest? The phone is good, but it seems that software support is almost non existent. Waited a long time to switch, accepted premium price for not the best of the best hardware, but good software support, but the end user gets almost the same as other brands - 1 bug fix and thats it, buy a new one with the same destiny? Not cool, oneplus, not cool at all :-( Or am I wrong? Was it always the same? [link] [comments] |
Could someone explain why the 7T is more expensive than the 7 Pro? Posted: 31 Jan 2020 03:59 PM PST I don't understand this. The 7 Pro seems higher tech in practically ever regard, so why in the world is the 7T around $100 more? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 Jan 2020 03:04 PM PST I've just bought a second hand, brand-new like OnePlus 6. I was messing around with the audio until I found a sound enhancement that said 'Apple Airpods'. My question here is: does anyone in here have Airpods'? And if so, do they sound good? [link] [comments] |
3t shutting down when charging. Posted: 31 Jan 2020 09:02 AM PST Every time I put the phone to charge, it shuts down and I have to restart it. Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this? [link] [comments] |
Oneplus 7 Pro Bluetooth Problem Posted: 31 Jan 2020 02:57 PM PST I just got the Oneplus 7 pro-Mclaren edition from originally have an iPhone 10 and I'm having problems with the Bluetooth connection in my car. Connecting the phone to my car and audio works properly but it displays the wrong song title. If I'm just getting into the car and I click the first song, on my phone, the song title shows correctly but when I click the next song on my car steering wheel it shows the title of the previous song. I've deleted and reconnected the phone on car Bluetooth like 3 times already but it keeps doing it. Anyone else having this problem? I'm using youtube music premium. I don't think this is a youtube music problem because my sister uses it and it works fine in her car and she also has a galaxy that uses android just like one plus so I don't think its a android problem either. Does anyone know what the problem is? [link] [comments] |
OnePlus 7 Pro screen popping. Maybe due to glue failing. Posted: 31 Jan 2020 10:54 AM PST I've found some other threads of people reporting the same issue but nothing about whether they were able to get it fixed. I had my screen replaced and noticed a few months later that if I push the top third of the screen hard it will compress and when I let go it makes a little pop like the glue is failing and barely able hold the screen. I've noticed that it has gotten worse since then and I just submitted a service request. Has anyone else had this issue and if so, were you able to get it fixed without push back from OnePlus? Legit Dash charging cables for sale? Posted: 31 Jan 2020 10:17 AM PST Hey, the original cable which came with my OP6 has kinked and torn by the type c connector and it's not really safe to use for much longer. I've been desperately trying to find somewhere I can buy a genuine new cable to no avail, any ideas? Based in the UK but willing to ship from abroad if I have to [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 Jan 2020 07:55 AM PST I'm watching the rumors come out around both the OnePlus 8 and the Galaxy S20 to make a decision on my next phone and there are a couple things making me lean away from OnePlus. One is the camera, which is very subjective and hard to get good feedback on, but the other is Bluetooth audio support. I have a OnePlus 6T currently and had the 3T before it and have had all sorts of Bluetooth issues. The 3T had frequent disconnects or would simply forget Bluetooth pairing. The 6T has been much better with that but AAC audio has been completely non-functional. While the toggle is there in the Bluetooth settings for the device, a quick trip to Developer settings will show that it is still using SBC even when AAC is enabled. Not only that, but attempting to "force" AAC there does nothing and exiting and returning to the developer settings shows that it falls back to SBC. There is a bug report that was never addressed but I am really looking to see if anyone can confirm if the 7/7T still have this issue or if AAC audio works without issue there. [link] [comments] |
