| Apps wont open "app has stopped working" Posted: 02 Jan 2020 06:46 PM PST Hello guys, A little while ago my phone had died and when i charged it back up i noticed random apps i am not using keep crashing, giving me the "app stopped working" prompt. These apps can also not be opened/used, they crash upon opening. It includes my banking apps, anti virus and some random apps like weather. This is really anoying because i now cant reach my bank account. Im on android 9.0 and samsungs latest security patch, i have tried rebooting and deleting the apps and redownloading, but to no avail. Does anyone know how this happened and how to fix it? [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 02 Jan 2020 09:13 AM PST So I broke my Samsung Galaxy A40, and the mobile company offered that I could send the broken phone back to them, and get some of my money back. However, in order to send it back, it has to be reset to factory settings. Since it is broken, there is no way of doing this on the phone itself. So I was wondering if it's possible to factory reset it using a computer or other phone, or anything at all? It is android version 9. If you require any more information I will try to find it!! | I've got a problem with Google Play Posted: 02 Jan 2020 05:11 PM PST So the app isnt working. To be honest, I could care less about that. When I try to load it up, it's just a white screen. I probably wouldnt care to much about that. But a notification pops up ever couple seconds that says "Google Play services keeps stopping" and it gives the option to click app info, close app or send feedback. Closing the app obviously isnt working or I wouldnt be here. I've tried restarting, is there anything else I can do to try and fix this? [link] [comments]  |

I was interested in Sony Xperia xa2 as it has 23mp camera but was told it isnt as good. I'm trying to replace my Huawei y5 2018 for a phone with great camera to take nice photos of my woodworks for my instagram. I'm from New Zealand and I'm looking to spend at around $300-400. | Data extraction from LG K20 V with black screen? Posted: 02 Jan 2020 09:32 PM PST I'm not sure if this is the best place to ask, but I've been searching the Internet for a few hours and I cannot find any solutions. A few days ago I dropped my phone, a 2-year-old LG K20 V with Verizon as my carrier, and when I picked it up and tried to turn it on, the screen remained black. Vibrations and notifications still work, and sometimes when I try to turn it on the screen has colored stripes or lighter areas. I'm not sure if the touch is still functioning. Stupidly, I don't have any recent backups, either on Google Drive or Verizon Cloud. I had been meaning to get a new phone for a while, so today I bit the bullet and got one. Now, the only data I really need from my old phone are my videos, photos, and contacts. I looked into extractor softwares but none seemed to work with my phone's model. I also thought about using ADB, but because I'm inexperienced, I decided against it. Is there any software like Dr. Fone or FonePaw that works with my phone's model? Is there a simple way to put a phone with a black screen into recovery mode and use ADB for a beginner? Is there a way to force USB debugging on a phone with a black screen so I can access the data through my PC? Or will my data be stuck on my other phone forever? Thank you in advance! I want to get evidence of them in the act and find out who exactly is doing it. I have a Galaxy S7, and a place with a socket nearby so I can have it charged. I need to be able to continually record and have a live feed to my PC so I can monitor my phone in case somebody tries to take it. The area will have wifi. The littering only happens at 1 to 3 am in a low traffic area, so the risk of somebody stealing it is low, but not 0. I can also be there in about 15 seconds or less, so unless they take it and immediately run off, I can confront anybody who picks it up Any ideas for what I can do? Edit: I have tried IP Webcam, and it works, but the video is very choppy and low quality because it is being streamed over Wifi then being recorded from my PC. | Posted: 02 Jan 2020 08:10 PM PST I've had some extremely suspicious activity going on with my phone recently. It involves Bumble, the dating app, and my text messages. I've recently had two women give me their numbers. Shortly after saving their numbers in my contacts and texting back and forth, both women say they received a message from me stating I'm no longer interested; the second of which was quite rude. I found out about the messages after texting each of the women and receiving pretty much the same response... "errrr, didn't you just message me saying you weren't interested?!". I've also noticed several matches disappearing on Bumble at the same time. Could just be women un-matching me but multiple matches keep disappearing at the same time and its becoming too much of a coincidence. After the second message was sent to the unsuspecting woman, she had also disappeared from my list of matches, along with another woman I was messaging (through the app, not text). Not sure if she had un-matched me because of the rude text message I asked her; she stated it wasn't her and was as surprised as me the match had gone. Not sure if my phone, bumble, or both have been hacked. Or what I can do about it??

I noticed update in play store though after i side load , and gives me the normal version of gboard . But i want to keep lite one, is it ok I guess i could keep updating via apk mirror instead versions. Or are these apps only designed for lower models like android go systems. [link] [comments]  |

That was really great, it had an icon and went straight to my stocks. I've tried figuring that out but I can't seem to replicate it on my new phone. I can put a chrome shortcut but that refreshes when I click it and isn't a smooth experience. It also lacks the icon. Anyone know how to get this capability back? [link] [comments]  |
| Help resetting a galaxy j2 prime Posted: 02 Jan 2020 03:06 PM PST Hi everyone Recently a distant relative of mine passed away and I ended up with their phone (won't bore you with the details). I don't really need a new phone because mine works fine, but I figure I can put spotify and a couple emulators on it to save some battery on my main phone. Problem is when I went to reset it tells me an attempt was made to reset the phone and I need to enter the original google account details. I, obviously, do not have access to these. I asked a few people, but none of them know, and it feels a bit morbid to keep pestering relatives who I don't even know very well for account details for a dead person's phone. Is there any way to bypass this? I didn't just come here because I'm lazy, I did do some googling, and while it seems you can install custom roms (something called Lineage OS?) you need to find a build specific to your phone, and I guess the J2 Prime wasn't very popular because I haven't been able to find a rom or OS specific to it. For the last month, Audible, Spotify and YouTube will pause frequently after 3 minutes. Sometimes it won't pause for close to an hour but that's only after pausing multiple times in a row. I've tried unpairing them and that doesn't work. My headphones and radio are Sony (I don't know the exact type) any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Posted: 02 Jan 2020 01:43 PM PST I installed ios fake os onto my note 9 as a joke and then uninstalled it but the animation for closing all the apps you have open is stuck the way the iOS app changed it. It's super clunky and glitchy and I've tried almost everything is there any way to fix / change the animation for closing out your apps? It looks like the way iPhones close them by swiping up but I miss the swiping to the side and having them layered someone please help [link] [comments]  |

So, I lost my S8 a while ago and currently I'm using a Mi 8 Lite. Just remembered I had some docs I needed to recover in my Samsung account, and I can still access it with no trouble, but can't access the Secure Folder shit tough. Did some research and apparently it's possible to access it using the app itself, but it's available only for Samsung devices. Downloaded the APK, the same version I had on my S8, but it just doesn't open on the Mi 8. Tried the latest version but it doesn't even install. Can I use the app somehow, or will I need to borrow some Samsung device just to access the app? [link] [comments]  |

Until yesterday, when I press the square button it would open my running apps and I could swipe away to close them or just hit a button to close all apps. Now all of a sudden when I press the square button it goes to my home screen. Press again and it opens the app drawer. It behaves identically to the home button for some reason. Any ideas? | Annoying bug with Galaxy S10+ keyboard (Android 10) Posted: 02 Jan 2020 12:43 PM PST I'm pretty sure this hasn't been asked yet: Whenever I'm typing on the keyboard, it'll disappear if I touch any of the black space inbetween each of the keys - this included the 1 - 0 numbers at the top of the keyboard. It's most prominent with the p, q, a, and L key. Does anyone know a fix for this or are experiencing the same issue as me? | Moto X4/T-Mobile, can't "roam" on other carriers Posted: 02 Jan 2020 12:25 PM PST I'm not sure if I'm describing this right, or if I'm in the right sub, so correct me if I could do better. I have an unlocked Moto X4 with Lineage OS, my carrier is T-Mo, in the US. Sometimes I'll be in an area and won't have any service (literally zero, phone won't even update the time after a timezone change), but my friend next to me with a different carrier will have full bars. I don't have APNs for AT&T or Verizon in my list, I only have T-Mo and some random (boost, walmart) ones I'm not sure how they got there. Can I manually add some APNs (like those found here: https://www.androidpit.com/us-apn-settings) to get better roaming coverage? Am I even on the right track here? FWIW I have all the roaming/data roaming settings on, and it works just fine when I go to Canada or Mexico (it'll show roaming on Rogers or whatever). [link] [comments]  |
