I made a download page for MIUI 11 China Beta instead of Xiaomi

    Posted: 02 Jan 2020 09:44 PM PST

Many of you know already that global beta is no longer available, and China beta is still released but Xiaomi is no longer providing download links on their official website.

I've been collecting the links every week in order to provide weekly firmware updates for custom roms users through my XiaomiFirmwareUpdater project, and I decided to make these links available for everyone.

The download page on my XiaomiFirmwareUpdater website has all MIUI 11 China Beta official roms starting from October 2019 for 31 device. I'll keep it updated with newer releases every week.

Mi Home cannot connect to Google Home

    Posted: 02 Jan 2020 11:45 AM PST

Normally I use Google Assistant to start my vacuum. I noticed this morning Google said "Cannot connect to Mi Home right now". I went into the Google Home app to relink the service. First I removed Mi Home, but then when I went to add it back, it wasn't in the list of supported services. Has this happened to anyone else? Maybe it's a service outage?

Redmi note 8 Apps lose internet at random times

    Posted: 02 Jan 2020 07:54 PM PST

For instance Reddit is fun will lose connection until i turn my wifi on and off again, same for most other apps, except whatsapp in whatsapp I lose the ability to send images or statuses, the internet on chrome and the default explorer always works, it's just the individual apps.

Is there a solution to this besides buying a good phone?

Mi 9T Pro Cropping Problem on FB Messenger

    Posted: 02 Jan 2020 07:29 PM PST

Do other Mi 9T Pro or Xiaomi users have this problem, too? I think this issue started when I updated to MIUI11.

    https://imgur.com/a/F2supXN

Basically, there's an offset of some sort when cropping.

This also only happens on Messenger, since the cropping feature for other apps work fine.

    Question about Xiaomi Bootloader Unlock/Lock

    Posted: 02 Jan 2020 07:19 PM PST

So my Mi 9T had some really bad software issues so I decided to flash the newest Miui 11 stock Rom so maybe the problems I had gets fixed.

Now, when I unlock the device, should I lock my device again? Should I use the option "Clear all" or " clear all and lock"?

I just want to unlock my phone, get the new stock Rom and want to use it. I don't know if a unlocked device in use is really that secure.

    Thank you guys!

Screen and case protection for the MI 9T : thoughts on the included case?

    Posted: 02 Jan 2020 05:41 PM PST

    Hello,

I am now the proud owner of a brand new MI 9T. Switching from an old, slow oneplus 2, it's a big upgrade, and I'm loving it so far !

I just had one question for you guys, how does the included case hold up? Is anyone here using it as their case everyday? Does it offer good enough protection, say if I drop my phone? or should I go with something else (and in that case (lol), do you have any suggestions?)

I have installed a tempered glass screen protector. The finger scanner doesn't always recognize my finger, but I found that pressing my thumb flat enough against the screen usually unlocks nine times out of ten. So in that regards I'm good.

    Cheers !

Mi Account and stolen Xiaomi Mi 9 lite

    Posted: 02 Jan 2020 06:58 AM PST

My wife's Mi 9 Lite stole on December 26. It was assigned with a Mi account and find my device turned on. Then, everyday I was trying to locate it by Find my device in mi cloud website and it was not reachable, probably it's been resetted. Today, on 2nd January, when I tried to locate it again, the website says "No device" at all. What that means. Is it bypassed or something else. I want to find it.

Can anyone say any thing about this? Thanks.

Sorry for my English, it's not my native language.

    Mi 10 or Mi 9

    Posted: 02 Jan 2020 01:30 PM PST

I know the mi 10 hasn't come out yet, but I'm wondering since all the leaks exist and it's probably going to launch at the end of february, should I wait and get the mi 10 when it comes out? I'll be switching from an iphone 7 so any other tips would also be extremely helpful:) thank you all <3

Other people can't hear my Mi 9 when calling

    Posted: 02 Jan 2020 10:40 AM PST

Whenever I call someone or am receiving a call, the other person on the line can't hear me. Usually I'd have to reboot the phone several times, but then comes the next call and they can't hear me again. Then I'd have to reboot. How do I fix this?

They can hear me when I call using Messenger.

HavocOS turned my Redmi 5 Plus into a new phone

    Posted: 02 Jan 2020 11:58 AM PST

I'm just stunned how nerfed my device was until I installed HavocOS....

Now I know some of you will say that a new rom will obviously run fast and all, but I'm going to counter by informing you that I had backed up all my app data using Titanium Backup Pro and then restored it. Everything went smoothly.

And then I started launching apps.... Just... WOW.

The only thing I really missed was Mi Sound Enhancer. But I took care of that, I prepared beforehand. Thing is, the presets that xiaomi uses are nothing but basic EQ sets. I used Viper to create a profile that sounds EXACTLY like the Sound Enhancer settings I used.

Ofcourse, Android 10 is way more superior than Miui based on Oreo.... One more bonus was that HavocOS provided custom height adjustment for the gestures. Not only that, but it's even got that network traffic activity widget on the status bar. And many more features, some ripped straight from Miui and OxygenOS, and much more.....

    Also, NO ADS
