    Android phone battery issue

I dont know if this is the right subreddit actually but i hope you can help me.

I have a Huawei P8 Lite 2017 (PRA-LX1). About two months ago it started to suddenly jump from 20% to 0% of battery and turn off. When i connected it with the charger, it said it had 30%???.

Well, i didnt think about it very much. This started to happen more often and it got worse. Some weeks later it usually turned off at about 50% and while charging it again as it was still off, it was showing 40% of charge.

Now this week the problem is even worse. When i charge it to 100% and let's say i start browsing reddit, then at about 97%, it suddenly turns off (like maximum 10 minutes). When i connect it to my charger, it says, it is charging from about 90%, and when i turn it on, it still has 90% of charge. Unplugging it at this point would make it turn off almost immediately.

Is my battery broken or does it need a calibration (i read something about that)?

Thank you in advance, i hope this is the right subreddit for this issue.

GIGABYTE GA-X99-UD3P Motherboard won't boot with 16GBx2, only single 8GB RAM

Hi, trying to help a friend with this. He's done pretty extensive troubleshooting. This is all in a custom built PC.

At one point he had 8GBx2 RAM installed. Then he tried to install two 16GB sticks, and it wouldn't boot, somehow it only now works with a single stick installed in the first slot.

I bought some RAM at the highest supported speed for the MoBo (2133 DDR4). This is what I bought: Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 DRAM 2133MHz (PC4 17000) C13 Memory Kit - Black.

So, obviously it didn't work because I'm here. I found an old thread from 2 years ago, suggesting perhaps we need to update the BIOS to vF7b to support 16GB sticks (but that person was using 8GB sticks). But then it makes me wonder why 2x 8GB sticks won't work now. A single stick works in all four positions, and is currently installed in the "default" single stick slot.

    • What else can I try and can I safely update the BIOS and get back to the original BIOS (if needed)? I didn't build the computer, so I'm not super familiar with it.
    • Could any other components be bad, where a single 8GB stick works in any slot, but two or more modules don't boot at all?
    • It goes to a constant 3 second boot loop with no option to get to the BIOS - which is set to defaults / AUTO for RAM, ex; the 2400 8GB stick in there now gets set to 2133 with the AUTO settings.
    • We've removed the battery, reset CMOS, etc.

    Thanks in advance!!
