- Open SMS > setting at top right in corner > and turn on Mi Messages. Now you can send SMS messages for free to all MIUI users.

| Several sound/notification issues with Redmi Note 7 Posted: 15 Dec 2019 06:42 PM PST I switched from a Nexus 6 to a Redmi Note 7 a few months ago, and there are several annoying things that the RN7 does that didn't use to be a problem:
I've tried searching for all these issues before, but I've so far got answers that suggest there are no fixes beyond using a custom ROM and vague hope that MIUI fixes these issues on the next update. The hissing stays on for approximately 5 minutes, then it stops for about a minute or so, and the hissing sound comes again. Any idea why or what this sound is ? I currently have the mi 9 lite, solid phone and I really like the cameras they are great, but I really cannot get on with miui. Ive seen the mi A3 is stock Android, I know it's only a 720p screen but I can live with that. My question is, is camera quality the same on the A3 as it is on the lite? Posted: 15 Dec 2019 03:58 PM PST On sites like Kogan and eBay, a lot of sellers have listed the Redmi Note 8 EU version for quite a bit cheaper ($50 AUD+) than the so-called "global" version. I was just wondering if this would have compatibility issues with Australian networks? AFAIK that's the only difference that may cause issues. Is there anything else I should be aware of? When I try to share a song or add on a playlist the app get blocked and I have to close and re-open Spotify.
