Locked out of a legally purchased Tab S6? Posted: 15 Dec 2019 04:40 PM PST Hey everyone, I purchased earlier a Tab S6 at Best Buy but it was an opened box. It seems that the tablet is locked to another user account and I can't even get past the login screen. I've tried a hard reset and factory reset from the boot menu, but nothing can be done. Short of going back to Best Buy tomorrow and complain, anything that I can do to gain access? Thanks! [link] [comments] |

"Item Not Found", is it just me? Posted: 15 Dec 2019 09:46 PM PST I would like to try out this interesting app called Gamerpro in the the google play store but it always says "item not found". Even when I try opening in a web browser, and changing my ip. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gamrbet&hl=en_GB&referrer=utm_source%3Dgoogle%26utm_medium%3Dorganic%26utm_term%3Dgamerpro+app&pcampaignid=APPU_1_qBj3XabKHc2w9QOl8rHACg Can anyone else manage to install the app? The updated versions seem available on apk websites (though im scared to download it through there), and it's also available on the ios store [link] [comments] |
Best way to map keyboard to touchscreen? Posted: 15 Dec 2019 09:39 PM PST I've just bought a Cosmo Communicator and am looking to set it up as my primary portable gaming device in addition to being my phone. I've set up MAME and other emulators to work, as they have rebinding as part of their functionality but native phone applications don't tend to have this natively. I know there's a few ways to do it, but what're the best solutions to map keyboard keys to touchscreen inputs for native phone applications? [link] [comments] |
Samsung S7 Active AT&T Can't connect to Windows 10 PC Posted: 15 Dec 2019 09:25 PM PST I was trying to reinstall the OS on an LG tablet my son had that was stuck in a boot loop. It wouldn't install so I just called it a lost cause. Ever since then my android devices will detect they are connected to my computer but my computer won't connect to them. I don't know what settings the LG software changed and haven't had any luck messaging them. Any ideas how I can fix this? [link] [comments] |
Trying to change daydream screensaver settings on Fire Stick Posted: 15 Dec 2019 08:55 PM PST Alright, my ultimate goal is to make my DAKboard a screensaver for my FireTV Stick to show my calendar and whatnot on my TV. So far I've sideloaded an app called Website Daydream using adb. My issue is that I can't figure out how to change the website (the default is BBC News) to my own URL. Opening the app on the Fire Stick doesn't work, and it doesn't show up under Screensavers (I just see the default Amazon ones). Is there a way to edit app settings using adb? Or am I missing something? [link] [comments] |
Good USB-C dongle for Android with HDMI, USB 3 ports and USB-C power delivery Posted: 15 Dec 2019 08:33 PM PST Hi I'm looking for a good dongle for USB-C that is Android compatible, it needs to have an HDMI port and at least one (preferably 2) USB 3 ports, as well as a USB-C port for power delivery. Thanks! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 15 Dec 2019 08:10 PM PST I was changing my animation speeds and I saw there were three of them: transition, window, and animation. What's the difference and which one should I reduce? [link] [comments] |
Why nobody is taking about mongoDB and android ? Posted: 15 Dec 2019 08:06 PM PST Hope you all are doing good. Actually I am new to the Android and database implementation . I saw a lot of people talking about Android with Firebase. But no one is talking about Android with MongoDB. MongoDB is great database creator and most often used with web development (as per my knowledge ) . Is there any problem with MongoDB while implementing with Android? Thank you in advance. Easy way to make Android look like iOS 6? Posted: 15 Dec 2019 07:32 PM PST https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IOS_6 <- this is what I'm looking for. Does anyone know any easy way of doing this? preferably without Jailbreaking. Thanks for the help! [link] [comments] |
This is the third Samsung Galaxy Note 9 I've had with display problems Posted: 15 Dec 2019 01:17 PM PST This is the third Samsung Galaxy Note 9 I've had that gets a horizontal quarter inch band of different colored static at the top of the display. I tried all different ways to fix it, but nothing works. It's not permanently at the top, it comes and goes. Luckily the phone was still under manufacturer warranty, so I was able to get it replaced through T-Mobile two other times before this. Now it's happened again. Manufacturer warranty ends on December 24th, so I'll be calling T-Mobile ASAP to get yet another warranty exchange. I'm frustrated beyond belief at the thought of having to transfer over everything to a new phone again. For the third time in three months. I had no idea this was such a common problem with the Note 9. As far as I understand, it's a hardware issue, therefore there's nothing I can do to fix it. If anyone has any thoughts or suggestions other than doing the warranty exchange, I would appreciate it. This post probably doesn't make much since. I guess I just needed to vent. [link] [comments] |

90% of APKs don't download (Android 10) Posted: 15 Dec 2019 12:49 PM PST I have a Pixel 3a running Android 10, and almost every apk file I download say "App Not Installed" when I try to install them. On previous phones, I've never had an issue with this (presumably because of my android version?), and now it doesn't work. Also, because I just downloaded android 10, any I did have crash constantly and I can't use them. Is there any good ways to fix this (ideally without rooting my phone)? Or even a way to downgrade back to Android 9? [link] [comments] |
[LG Aristo 2] Charging question Posted: 15 Dec 2019 06:32 PM PST I'm wondering if my LG Aristo 2 is charging at the best speed. I downloaded "Ampere" to see how the speed I was charging my phone, and it says when I have my phone plugged in, it gets about 100 mA when I use my powerbank, but when I use the wall socket using one of my mom's "Adaptive Fast Charging" USB dongles, it goes to 700-950 mA. Is that considered "fast charging"? What is the max mA my phone can handle? Should I buy a new USB cable/dongle? [link] [comments] |
Android 9.0 font colour settings questions Posted: 15 Dec 2019 08:47 AM PST Sorry if this has been asked a million times and I've not found the proper answer... Using Android os 9.0 on my S8+, I have some themes from when I had my S6 and one in particular changes the text color for menu options and text messages, making them nearly unreadable (light font on light bubble / menu background). I'm trying to find any way to change and customize the font colors at the very least but am turning up nothing. Anyone have any suggestions, alternatives, or hints? I know some themes age out, but I suspect this is purely an OS-related setting that might've been locked down or something? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 15 Dec 2019 09:35 AM PST Hey there, recently my S7 has been giving me some issues. The screen is black yet still responsive which I have seen tons of ways to fix. But, in my case I can see the notification bar and I haven't seen any topics on this happening to someone before. I've tried booting into safe mode and recovery mode. The closest I got was getting the android logo to flash very quickly so I know the screen is not dead at least. Just hoping to get some help, thanks in advance. [link] [comments] |
Battery info apps without saver function Posted: 15 Dec 2019 05:52 PM PST Can anyone recommend me a battery info app that has no battery saving functionality.... I just need an app that can record my battery usage, and present me the data, and a good big battery percentage widget on screen.... Most battery apps like this have build in battery saver function that I do not need, and it is difficult to turn off that function [link] [comments] |
Posted: 15 Dec 2019 03:26 AM PST Recently I upgraded from Xiaomi Mi 6 to Mi 9t pro. Now I have a small, but very powerful paperweight. What can I do with it? I've looked through Google and posts on here, but nothing caught my eye. I was thinking about making it control my 3d printer, but I'm not sure how to do that. Then I thought to make it into a TV box, but again I don't know if that's even possible. Last thing I have, and that's what I'm going to do FOR NOW - leave it plugged in and connected for research. So yeah. I'm looking for suggestions on how to approach my ideas or for other uses. [link] [comments] |
Got a kindle fire hd 6 4th gen, advice tips? Posted: 15 Dec 2019 05:18 PM PST I got a fire 6 as a tip from an estate sale I delivered to. Now, I know nothing of them as I was never tempted to go for one. I notice it is android at least, but heavily altered. Other than factory reset, All I've done so far is add total launcher, which works but I can't figure out how to set as default, and ppsspp. The lock screen is ad space, which is irritating. Can I change that? Anyway, my three big questions, What are the limitations of this device? Any good ways to get around these oddities? Any general advice or tips for it (I don't do amazon, so I'm not concerned about that aspect)? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 15 Dec 2019 01:13 PM PST So i got an s8 for my birthday a year ago. There is however a really big problem with it : the google play protect is not certified. This means that i cannot install apps like netflix, snapchat doesn't work and google pay can't be used for paying in stores. I already tried the website where you enter your device ID and it didn't seem to work. The phone is most probably not new. Can anyone help me ? Thanks. [link] [comments] |
Swipe up for home buttons behaviour has changed Posted: 15 Dec 2019 04:47 PM PST Since the most recent major update my (LG G6) phone's swipe-up has changed, and not for the better. Before, I could swipe up and hit the home button while in an app and it would work perfectly every time. Now, 6 or 7 times out of 10 the swipe interacts with the open app instead of or as well as bringing up the buttons, and if I hit the home button too fast after swiping the tap actually stays in the app instead of the home button. Are there settings to regulate this? Are others experiencing the same thing and if so is a patch coming? [link] [comments] |
Quick toggle for Android Q gesture navigation? Posted: 15 Dec 2019 04:33 PM PST Any way to quickly toggle between the various navigation options for Android Q? I switch in and out of gesture navigation and it would be handy if I didn't have to enter settings every time. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 15 Dec 2019 04:04 PM PST I recently bought a factory unlocked LG V40 ThinQ device from eBay. It's actually a Sprint device with factory software flashed. How I do go back to the Sprint firmware? Also my serial number is missing anyway to bring it back? [link] [comments] |
Gmail sender blocking option unavailable? Posted: 15 Dec 2019 04:41 AM PST Hi all! My mom keeps getting tons of spam on her gmail account, so I told her to set up a filter but I found out you can't do that on Gmail for free, apparently... So next best thing: I tell her to block the addresses that send spam, I try to show her the "Block [email]" option, but it doesn't appear on her phone! I don't understand why, and I can't find information on that issue on the web. Is there a Google account setting somewhere that prevents you from blocking people or something? I'd be grateful for any suggestions as to why that could be happening, [link] [comments] |
