Today I found my exact app with a different package name published on Google Play, is my admob account in risk ?

    Posted: 29 Dec 2019 03:45 PM PST

    Hey everyone,

Today as I was checking the "app-ads.txt" section on my admob account, I was shocked that I found an app that is not even mine listed with my other apps.

I clicked on the link to the play store page and found that the app is a clone of one of my apps, not just a clone but it's actually exactly my app with a different package name, someone took my app changed it's package name and uploaded it to play store, so the ad units IDs are my IDs .. etc

And I am so worried that this is gonna bring my admob account trouble or something (invalid traffic maybe)

What should I do now, is there any way I can report the app and get it removed or should I submit an update with new ad units .. any help would be so much appreciated !

    Thank you all

AAC Navigation: sharing 1 destination under multiple navigation graphs at the same time

    Posted: 29 Dec 2019 06:16 AM PST

Is there any way to make this happen? The scenario i'm trying to achieve is the following: parent viewModel that is scoped to a parent graph, so it lives across 3 main screens, and stores values during the session such as motionLayout Progress, recyclerView layoutManager state, google map zoom level, etc, so they can be restored when you navigate back to those screens + after configuration changes.Any screen from parent graph can start a details graph. The details graph screens would benefit from some data stored in parent graph , eliminating need to pass arguments around. So while any destination of the details graph is alive, parent viewModel should be alive as well. And whenever last details graph destination pops, the details viewModel clears.Plan B is try to make parent viewModel activity scoped, though it's not a fine solution(maybe it is, to store ui related values in memory).

Is there any advertisement platform that allows me to offer users cash rewards ?

    Posted: 29 Dec 2019 07:00 AM PST

I am trying to make a game in which i will reward my app winners with a cash prize.

Admob has a policy which makes you not able to use them if your app offers its users monetary or pretty much any sort of compensation.

Do you know of any other advertising platform that allows it ? or a workaround maybe ?

Developing a poker game, could use a little help

    Posted: 28 Dec 2019 06:00 PM PST

Hi all. Hopefully this hasn't been asked before. Basically I want to develop a poker game that uses real money. There are a lot of technical concerns to think through, namely security, but I have a question I can't find an answer to.

I'm sure I can figure out how to charge users money via in app purchases, but what I can't figure out is how to pay money out. Where would I store the money? Would I have to create a bank account that all the money gets sent to for each game and then gets distributed out of when a user wins? Could I create a temporary checking account of sorts for each game? That way in the event that this gets hacked, they'd only get one bank account at a time, and not the entire pool for every current game?

Also how would I pay users out from that bank account? Does google have some way to pay a user of an app, as opposed to charging them? How does an app like venmo work in that regard?

    No internships, whats next?

    Posted: 28 Dec 2019 05:25 PM PST

Alright so I don't see any internships anymore and I've pretty much applied to everything I could find with 0 interviews (I'm located in NYC). I have a couple of mini-apps, some of which are from a mobile development Bootcamp. What should I do now? I'm a Junior CpE major and I'm lacking industry experience needed to get my first junior position.

Will Android fully go open source and GPL?

    Posted: 28 Dec 2019 05:53 PM PST

With the new Google Fuchsia OS that Google been working on, do you think Google will move towards that OS and abandoned Android OS and by abandoning Android would they make it GPL license (Or something similar) and make the entire Android OS ecosystem open source, including the kernel, security updates, etc?
