Not a Samsung exclusive option but something I wish I knew about before now.

    chrome://flags/#enable-force-dark

This is an experimental option in chrome that makes almost all white backgrounds black. This includes the Google search page. So no more getting blasted with a white background every time you open chrome in bed. Just thought I'd share with you all. Try it out if it sounds good, if you don't like it you can just turn it back. Copy paste it into your chrome address bar to open the setting for it.

Do most people want a screen protector for their phone?

    Posted: 31 Dec 2019 06:54 AM PST

I bought the S10e before the holidays at a Samsung store and the employee offered to put a screen protector on my brand new phone. I declined and he looked baffled. Then proceeded to tell me that the phone has a screen protector on already but it's not as good. I thought only shitty brands did this.

So now I have a screen protector and I don't know if I can peel it off. I don't want that shit. But since it's there from the factory state maybe it's considered a part of the device? And it makes me doubt the durability of the screen. Is Samsung so insecure about the screen that it slaps this disgusting piece of plastic on it? Do most people want this?

It makes the sides of the screen sharp and it's uncomfortable to swipe from the edge of the screen.

I've never had any screen protectors on my previous smartphones and never got any scratches. I just hate the idea of putting something ugly (or even worse - a case) on my brand new phone that looks good naked.

My Samsung scx-4521f is scanning like this. any ideas. half the page is scanned as black.

I am currently using s8 and in 2020 i am due an upgrade but Note 10+ seems not a good deal which is disappointing

    Posted: 31 Dec 2019 02:06 AM PST

My s8 is close to 3 years of life, except battery life it is fine but soon security updates will end so i will need to upgrade. The note 10+ is a fully featured premium phone with a high price( in my country €1149) the issue is in just one more year it will receive its final software update and then it will stop being supported which is a shame. I am considering iphone 11 pro for a close price to it as i would like to hold my phone for 5 years. It is sad that with just 1 more year of software updates both s and note series will become close to the "ideal" phones for people not upgrading every 1 or 2 years. What do you think? And to all have a wonderful 2020!

    Samsung account login on setup

    Posted: 30 Dec 2019 09:56 PM PST

Just setup my S10e and man this thing feels good. I didn't login to a Samsung account because of the apps it detailed that I'd be missing, I only had interest in themes and Spotify. Dark mode exists now and I'm not sure what else themes do. Do they changes icons?

Anyway, any good reason to sign into a Samsung account? Or is it better to avoid it and the bloatware along with it?

Samsung notes "search" feature not working? (With images)

    Posted: 31 Dec 2019 05:12 AM PST

    http://imgur.com/gallery/8WoOvLh

So the first picture is my other phone and as you can see it narrows it down to one note because I searched "pen and paper" and there is only one note with the words "pen and paper" in it. The second picture the screenshot is my new phone and the notes app is on the latest version and it's not narrowing it down at all. As you can see it's like every note with "and" pops up or even if the letters just connect to spell it (1st result in the screenshot)

Is this a new thing they're doing or am I the only one who is experiencing this issue? Any help is appreciated thanks!

Edit - yes I have tried putting quotation marks around what I want to search for and it still doesn't work :/

Preventing some other devices to connect to TV

    Posted: 30 Dec 2019 11:51 PM PST

Hi guys! I keep on getting this nottification that a smart device is trying to connect to my TV. With the allow and deny button on the screen. Is there a way to stop this? And just have the TV connect to only selected devices?
