I have had several Samsung flagship phones and have been disappointed in the direction phones are going. The edge was really cool looking at first, even paid $100 extra for it on my s7 edge just to find out it's a gimmick with no real usefulness. Just makes the phone harder to hold without accidental touches and cases had to be less protective, not to mention problems it causes with screen protectors, now it's a standard feature.

I just went from a note 9 to a note 10+ just to find they removed headphone port, removed hard press invisible home button, removed the awesome fast excellent working great placed fingerprint scanner to put one under the screen that barely works and is slow(also hear it's not very secure). Moved the power button to wrong side. Then they push the screen to the max meaning you now have a hole in the screen for a camera and no notification/status led.

I'm not sure why they keep pushing for the thinnest possible phones and the highest possible screen to body ratio, having a case is no longer a option but a requirement.

I really wish they'd make a flagship phone that had prioritized higher quality speakers, better cooling, better built in protection, etc

Besides the new note 10+ having faster charging, next gen processor and memory I really think my note 9 was a better phone and unless samsung steers a different direction my next phone will probably be something else.(I do realize nearly all phone brands are going same direction)

I would be all over the CAT phone with its rugged design and useful features if only it had higher end specs for playing games and such.

Alright guess I'm done ranting for now. How do you guys feel? Do you like the way phones are moving with the high screen/body ratios, ultra thin, less physical buttons, notch/hole punch displays, on so on?
