Best MMORPG that doesn't have a bunch of crap to upgrade/manage?

    Posted: 11 Dec 2019 08:56 AM PST

    Title.

I enjoyed Era of Legends the most out of the ones I've tried like World of Kings, Black Desert Mobile, Crusaders of Light, etc. but even EoL had way too many menus and crap going on with a very cluttered screen. I think games like those have some decent ideas, and look amazing, but they just cram way too much into the mobile experience. I literally can't play longer than 30 seconds without something new I have to claim/modify/upgrade. Too many popup things happening. Click here, now click here, now claim this. Even after you get past the insulting and way-too-long "tutorials" you still have like fifteen different menus and currencies and crap to keep up with.

Would love to find a similar game that dials it back a bit in regards to all the different types of currencies and skill trees and stuff you have to upgrade and manage. Obviously a little gear and skill upgrading is to be expected, but I don't want a second job. Sometimes you just want to hop on and mindlessly murder some baddies without having a bunch of other "chores" to stay current (I don't mean quests when I say chores, I'm referring to character management and claiming things/doing side tasks, etc). I have no interest in managing some camp/base or having to upgrade 50 different types of things with 50 different types of currencies.

Adventure Quest 3D is pretty solid but I'm just looking for other options. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I know it's popular to hate on, but I'm honestly really looking forward to Diablo: Immortal. Hopefully it has a little less of the aforementioned junk.

EDIT - This one is looking really promising so far after about half an hour of play: Evil Lands

[DEV] I am in the midst of developing Spiritus, an open world RPG game for mobile. Expected release: End-2020

Hi. I am Joseph Thomas and I run the game development studio TinyNerd. I used to work solo on Spiritus, but recently managed to find a passionate team of developers to work on this ambitious project.

Spiritus will shine with its randomly-generated open-ended world, filled with beautiful nature that interacts between one another.

    A whiptail sleeping under a rock. :)

The long-lost tale of a large Apocalyptic event a few thousand years in the past slowly gets uncovered through ancient still-standing structures, from old temples to small townhalls.

    An ancient structure.

Fight your way through the world, removing villainous people from the face of the world, slashing with your old sword or using the knowledge of magic in your head.

The park of a rich man.

Listen to locals and help them with their issues and learn different powerful spells from the ancient characters.

The world is peaceful as it is, despite the small villainous gangs, but will it stay so? Is the Apocalyse REALLY over?

Thank you for your kind attention.

    FAQ

How much will the game cost?

The game will be free, apart from in-app purchases for skins, different DLCs, and ADS. :D

How long have you been working on the game?

I have been working on the game for 7 months now, and am still energetic and still loving every second of development.

How long will the gameplay last?

We are planning gameplay of around 50-70 hours of duration.

These are my favorite type of games but haven't really found much out there that are good.

the last game that I really liked was Dash Quest but that was a longg time ago since I've played a game like that.

    suggestions are appreciated

[DEV] “Sky Piper” by now plays at 60 fps (with options to choose between 30fps or 120fps), thanks to the idea of a redditor here. Finally made the game live in the playstore outside open beta.

Building games that are also gacha that are f2p friendly? (I know there's no f2p for games like this but probably like less p2w or generous)

Neon Shadow - Android Retro FPS

    Posted: 11 Dec 2019 04:05 AM PST

Neon Shadow is an old school Sci-Fi FPS for Android devices. It features a linear single player offline campaign and some badass weapons. Well worth checking out.

    Perfect deflect games.

    Posted: 11 Dec 2019 03:57 AM PST

So I've been playing Sekiro Shadows Die Twice for a while and man, I fell in love with the combat system. I was just wondering if there were any Android games having the kind of system where you need to perfectly block/deflect an enemy attack to deliver a final killing blow ?

I've played King of Fighters Allstar for a nice chunk of time and made a review based on my experience. I did expect worse, but the game still has its downsides. What do you think about this game? (Gacha is bad!)

    Best management games.

    Posted: 11 Dec 2019 05:34 AM PST

Looking for a game similar to Fallout Shelter. I played a ton of it, but I think I've gotten as far as I can in the game. Looking for something new to scratch that same itch.

[REQUEST] My son is turning 8. He has an iPod touch. Please help me find the right game for him.

    Posted: 11 Dec 2019 03:37 PM PST

He likes character development games with a cute character component (dogs, dragons, etc.) Not a straight RPG. He reads well but generally doesn't like games that require too much reading. I would like to buy him a game with no need for microtransactions. Cost $50 or less. Thanks in advance.
