| Why does my phone say "Roaming Indicator Off" instead of the provider name? Posted: 28 Nov 2019 04:07 PM PST Hi all. I have an unlocked Moto G7 Power I'm using on the Ting 20-for-20 plan. In the banner where the carrier name normally shows, and in the Settings under Mobile Networks as well, it shows "Roaming Indicator Off", instead of showing "Sprint", which I've been told it should show for Ting CDMA. I've done the dialer stuff with the star-pound-72786-pound-star. I even did the same as above with 786 for a factory reset, no dice. Then I did the regular System menu factory reset, same thing. I also did the 4636 menu thing too, and set it to LTE Only. The banner then showed "Sprint", but setting back to "LTE/CDMA/UMTS", or any other setting with CDMA included, changes it back to "Roaming Indicator Off", so something with the CDMA provisioning is off. Yet calling and SMS/MMS works fine, LTE data is fine. Any suggestions? I've already done 2 factory resets, and don't want to do another one. I guess it's something I can deal with as long as everything is working, it's just weird though. [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 28 Nov 2019 03:44 PM PST Hi Everyone, I'm tech savvy but have minimal experience with Android, just for whatever reason I've never used much of their devices. I have an apple TV and was thinking of upgrading to maybe the new generation but heard good things about the Android Tv's, specifically heard I should aim for Xiomi Box or Nvidia Shield. These are my needs.
I've also seen other models: S10 Mini, Smart Android 9.0 but I have no idea or reference. What does the Storage is actually for, just storing apps? What should I aim for? One thing I like about the apple tv is the GUI feels really smooth and responsive something I usually don't see in other streaming boxes. Wondering if anybody had an opinion on this. Any other information that might be important for me to know, please share. BONUS POINTS! if you can point me out as to where I could get a black Friday or cyber Monday deal here in Canada. I want to be able to customize my phone without the jailbreak side of it. I currently have an iPhone 8 plus, but I have been eyeing the note 10 plus for awhile now.. | What is voLTE and how do I turn it off Posted: 28 Nov 2019 09:44 PM PST So I accidentally deleted a file so I tried a data recovery tool on pc so I started it and it restarted my phone and that scared me so I unplugged it uninstalled the apps it downloaded ,and now on the top right of my screen there is a weird vortex icon and something that says voLTE and also I'm getting a notification saying "Unauthorized actions have been detected. Restart your phone to undo any actions" or something like that ,so I restarted and it's still there what should I do? (Also I do t have a rooted device) [link] [comments]  |

If I cancel my subscription, that just means I won't get charged again. My play pass subscription will stay active in the meantime, however, and miss the Black Friday deals. | "muting" ok Google search thing Posted: 28 Nov 2019 01:37 PM PST Is there any way to have the "ok Google" thing come up but not say anything? For example I say "okay Google search for this" and then Google just searches for it without saying "searching for this..." The problem is it is conflicting with the read allowed app and once the Google starts talking it starts a big loop of the phone talking into Google. Hope this makes sense [link] [comments]  |

I have found several status bar replacement apps, and while they do have the clock in the centre, they aren't fully functional. However, the play/pause/next/prev buttons are quite small and hard to hit on the touchscreen, so it seems kinda dangerous to use while driving. Is there some kind of cheap micro usb thing I can plug into the phone to give me a set of tactile buttons so that I can do those things without looking? I always get super generic results when searching for this kind of thing online. Bluetooth can work but I'd prefer something I can just plug in. [link] [comments]  |
| Can't delete file for X-Plane 10 Posted: 28 Nov 2019 07:58 PM PST So when trying to install an app, I didn't have enough storage, so I got the prompt to delete apps to clear up space. Since I no longer wanted X-Plane, I selected it then tapped continue. When I noticed there still wasn't enough space I went to my files and discovered this file, and I am not able to delete it. | LG G2 won't stay connected to cellular network Posted: 28 Nov 2019 01:40 PM PST 3 or 4 times a day, the LG G2 just loses all cellular network connectivity and shows no bars. Texts and calls do not get sent and do not come in. A reboot is needed to fix it. Reseating the SIM card does not help. Disabling wi-fi calling does not help. I cannot factory reset, as it is not my phone and the owner is unwilling to put their data somewhere else. Is there anything else I can try? [link] [comments]  |

However the bootloader unlock code provision service has been completely stopped by Huawei.... What are other quick options I could use in order to root this device? | Is there a Do Not Disturb override? Posted: 28 Nov 2019 06:49 PM PST Hi there; my dad has an S10 and I am posting on his behalf. Last night before bed, he turned his phone's Do Not Disturb feature on, and forgot to turn it off today. He had his phone on him in the morning, and later in the afternoon noticed that he had misplaced it somewhere in the house. Everyone had been looking left and right for it to no avail. Unfortunately, we also cannot call the phone because it is on Do Not Disturb. It's been hours and we still can't find it. Is there any Do Not Disturb override that we can initiate to call the phone?? | Albums not sorted after Google Photos transfer? Posted: 28 Nov 2019 05:57 PM PST I upgraded phone today, everything including photos automatically transferred to the new phone, but the photos I had organised in albums are now just sitting unorganized in the "Photos" tab and the "Albums" tab shows as empty. Is there any way to easily sort them like it was on my old phone? Phone is a OnePlus 7T Upgraded from a OnePlus One Any help would be much appreciated! [link] [comments]  |
