Finally got it! The MI 9T Pro!

    Posted: 28 Nov 2019 12:49 PM PST

In the southern USA here, finally got it and love it already! It misses a few bands for AT&T, but so far the speed and reception seems great, call quality is beautiful and the network is much faster than it was on my last phone, no dropped calls, no loss of data, nothing. Was honestly quite surprised.

Came from an LG Stylo 4 to this phone, not regretting a thing.

I have chance to exchange my brand new Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro to brand new Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite for 20$, should I go for it?

    Posted: 28 Nov 2019 10:07 PM PST

I've heard that Redmi Note 8 Pro has heating issues, also, I want Mi 9 Lite, I have a dealer friend who agreed to exchange brand new phones for extra bucks. I think Mi 9 Lite is more expensive than Redmi Note 8 Pro in China and Europe, but in my country it is vise versa. Mi 9 Lite has Super Amoled display, fingerprint scanner, better design and Snapdragon 710 chipset which attracts me. Should I go for it?

....and when I wanted to download it nothing happened. I do think , however, we might be getting it after all , maybe sooner than later.

Google Pay keeps declining on Mi 9

    Posted: 28 Nov 2019 06:50 PM PST

So I recently bought a Xiaomi Mi 9 & set it up as usual, I logged in to Google Pay, and everything seemed as usual. This morning I went to 7-11 to buy a Coffee but it declined with an error that had something to do with fraud? (It said error 37 on the cash register thing) I have enough money on my account and it allowed me to buy a Myki through the Google Pay app, but any time I use a regular contactless payment it Declines. I'm not sure if this is a problem with Google, Xiaomi or my Bank but if someone can help &/Or has experienced something similar that would be great. P.S this is my third phone in 2 months so could it be to do with that? Thanks in advance.

    Mi Mix 2 can't install Disney+?

    Posted: 28 Nov 2019 06:37 PM PST

Doesn't seem to matter what I do, but I can't install it. Searching for the play store on my phone doesn't even show it, going on my desktop says it's not compatible with this device.

Netflix said the same thing, but I just installed an apk and it works perfectly. Apk doesn't install for Disney+, just says installation failed.

Redmi Note 8 Pro 128GB is going on sale for $220 in our country, reminds me how good cheap smartphones have become.

    Posted: 28 Nov 2019 12:43 AM PST

3 years before for $220 you can only buy a mediocre mid ranger but now the value has gone so much higher that we get decent phones for this price.

It is so cheap that i don't think anyone can properly justify buying an $800 smartphone instead of 4 Note 8 Pros unless they have a good income.

    Good times ahead.

    HUGE BATTERY DRAIN

    Posted: 28 Nov 2019 12:33 PM PST

My Redmi Note 7 has a major battery drain issue which started a week ago. I have tried a lot of solutions and none of them helped. Could you possibly help me find a solution to this problem?

How to differentiate Global Version vs Global Rom

    Posted: 28 Nov 2019 08:17 PM PST

I'm planning on buying a Redmi 8 pro or 9t or 9t Pro (not sure yet...most likely Redmi 8 Pro due to budget but if Im convinced enough I will probably go to either 9t or 9t pro).

How do I know it is official Global Version and weed out Chinese and Global ROM.

    Screenprotector?

    Posted: 28 Nov 2019 11:03 AM PST

I just bought a xiaomi mi 9t and it says that screenprotectors aren't recommended due to the undrrscreen fingerprint scanner. Does anyone know of a screenprotector that doesnt have this problem? I already tried a tempered glass one, which didn't work.

[Help] Yee Lightstrip keeps on a schedule

    Posted: 28 Nov 2019 07:07 PM PST

I apologize if this isn't the right place.

I bought a yeelight strip late last year then a light bulb for my lamp and another bulb (colour) for my bed light.

Everything works great but I believe last year I set a schedule for 10 pm to change to red (easier on the eyes) then maybe something else at around 10:15 pm to change to white (not sure why or even if I did it). I would like to get rid of it.

The other two lights work as intended but not the strip.

    Things I've done:

    • Logged out of the app/ reinstall.
    • Reset the light strip on the controller and added the strip again in the app
    • Unplugged the strip for over 2 days after another full reset
    • Got a new phone (not because of it but yea)
    • Checked every setting possible
    • Added a new schedule to overtake the 10pm one and that worked for a day.

The only thing I can think of is deleting my mi account and starting completely over but I have a lot of scenes set up and tied to IFTTT and NFC/Google Home routines.

Is there anything I can do? Rather me reset my miaccount fully and do all the routines etc again, better than wiping out my account fully which is also tied into my MiBand and MiScale as well.

    Thank you.

    Help- Xiaomi mi 9t pro

    Posted: 28 Nov 2019 12:30 PM PST

I just got my Xiaomi Mi 9t pro global from AliExpress. Everything is great, I really enjoy it.

BUT! Yesterday I tried to log-in steam app and I got an email in Chinese, I found it funny because I have steam configured in English and my phone too, basically everything is in English or Spanish.

Today I log into another app from my country to pay some things using my credit card but the transaction was rejected. Now, i think my phone is making the apps believe that I'm in China or something like that, cuz, 10 seconds later, I got into my pc and I paid in the website of that app with the same credit card and everything works as usual.

    Any ideas?

What? What the fuck just happened? Like seriously. The giants actually have to wake up because China is comming for the second round. They retained really low prices but the quality is top. This phone signals start of an economic revolution nobody thought was possible.

    New phone

    Posted: 28 Nov 2019 04:06 AM PST

I have a Redmi Note 4X since 2017 and i'm thinking to switch to Mi 9T Pro or Mi Note 10. Mi 9t for the snapdragon 855 and hidden internal camera, Mi Note 10 for the 108 mp cam and curved glass. I usually use Instagram, Google research, some graphics with painter and I play at Yu Gi Oh Duel Links. I would like to take the phone that will be more updated over time and more stable. I'm afraid of the lag with the camera of the Mi Note 10 when I tried It at the store.

    What you suggest?

Why is Glacier Blue Mi 9T Pro Cheaper than Flame Red and Carbon Black?

    Posted: 28 Nov 2019 08:58 AM PST

Hey there! Theres a Black Friday sale on glacier blue mi 9t pro today. It is 399 Euro now. I am wondering why the price of flame red and carbon black are still 439? Please tell me why this might be. Maybe they're trying to sell older blue phones or something? Thanks
