Huawei's brazilian twitter account is hacked, tweets curse Apple and Black Friday Posted: 28 Nov 2019 07:13 AM PST Screenshot of the hacked tweets The first tweet translated: - The Black Friday is here. SCREW ITTT. Even that won't give the poor the power to buy our devices. GO COMMUNISM! Huawei says it will take measures and promisses that their products will have real discounts (in Brazil, Black Friday is mostly fake discounts). [link] [comments]

The GSMA launch the "Network Settings Exchange" to get carrier settings into phones. Posted: 28 Nov 2019 03:33 AM PST This will help get VoLTE, ViLTE and VoWiFi working without needing to be on carrier specific firmware or needing a system update to support a new network. Carriers upload their settings to the gsma database and oems download them and send them to your phone based on the sim. Of course, phones will first need to be updated to use this new system. These are low level settings so the modem maker and oem will need to support this. Hopefully, google will quickly do any work needed to integrate this into android (e.g. radio hals). This should particularly help smaller oems who don't have the reach of samsung, and mvnos without the connections of a multinational carrier. This should also mean VoLTE can be rolled out faster with less need for testing and whitelisting of devices. Now we just play the waiting game for devices to actually use this. Please give us smaller phones! Posted: 28 Nov 2019 06:02 AM PST I was asked recommending a phone to a friend, who wanted a small phone with a good camera and because her previous phone had water damage it had to be waterproof. I couldn't find any! I actually had similar criteria a year ago and I wanted it to be second hand, because my phone's always fall and break. (And it had to be a popular model for resale value and case availability) The iPhone 5SE has a nice size, but it's way to expensive for what you'll get. I got a s7 myself, but I find this phone really big, and then I'm 'forced' to use a case, which makes it even larger. This year, when looking at phones for my friend, I had a hard time recommending anything because she also found my phone to be huge. Eventually she got a Samsung A..50 I think, which is even bigger! Are we the only two people on earth looking for smaller phones? Otherwise I can't explain why small phones are so unique. PS; I forgot to mention in both cases there where also budget criteria of course [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Nov 2019 05:22 AM PST I noticed that the Assistant seems to have changed a little bit and now centers the text being generated. PS: Running a OnePlus 6T on Android 10. The link to the screenshot: https://imgur.com/a/VHLu8BM [link] [comments]
Posted: 27 Nov 2019 11:21 PM PST Why? Some people let their phones charge overnight and this could harm the battery in the long term so let's assume you sleep for 8 hours, you can set the phone to fully charge in 8 hours by changing the charging speed so you don't need to worry about your battery. Need to mention that Samsung one UI has a similar idea which is enabling and disabling the fast charging. [link] [comments] |
