So I got this question, I got my phone late september and I've noticed that I kind of get notifications for some apps and others I don't. Like Facebooks Messenger app I don't get any kind of notification when recieving a new message from a contact. I've checked my settings and everything is as it should be but still nothing. Any ideas?

Samsung TVs frequently disconnecting from WiFi?

    Posted: 25 Nov 2019 05:36 AM PST

Do Samsung TVs with built in WiFi frequently disconnect from WiFi? I'm researching for a new Samsung TV and the user reviews on many are that they often disconnect from the WiFi when not in use. Still true? and does reconnecting require entering wifi name and password again? Or perhaps just saying yes to some prompt. Where I plan to put this TV will not have a physical connection to a cable box. It will be using the app on the TV for my cable provider and receive the signal via WiFI. TIA

I plan to purchase a Note 10+. Does it have the delayed notification issue that other android phones suffer from?

    Posted: 25 Nov 2019 07:26 AM PST

I currently have a huawei nova 3 and the delayed notification issue is really annoying. I was wondering if the note 10+ has the same issue.

Also, can anyone tell me any other issues they've encountered while using the note 10+?

Dead zones on Galaxy note 8

    Posted: 24 Nov 2019 09:17 PM PST

As the title says, there are portions of my touchscreen that are not responsive. I have tried a hard reset and I have used the S pen, which seems to work fine. Is there a reason why the same spots don't work with my finger but do work with the pen?

    Edit: diagnostics

With one of the most anticipated games of 2020 being a Valve's Half Life Alyx game are there news about Samsung announcing a Oddysee 2 vr set?

    Posted: 25 Nov 2019 07:47 AM PST

Right now the Oddysee + seems like an excellent choice for anyone in the United States and Canada. Especially in the USA right now you can pick up the headset in a participating store you get the headset for 230 $ and with a 50$ dollar Microsoft gift card. In europe we don't even have that vr set avaliable and importing it makes it unreasonable expensive and troublesome. The alternatives around the price here lack are quite underwhelming vs the Oddysee plus (at least I couldn't find something that is as good as the Od +) and I wonder if any there's any news about an event or time frame where Samsung announces new vr products.

I'm not expecting anything releasing before HL Alyx release but maybe someday in 2020.

It would be a huge missed opportunity to not push good vr headsets with potentially hundreds of thousand of customers willing to get into a good vr headset which will do a fine job with the game at a good price.

"Security policy restricts you from stopping this application" pop up. How to fix? Galaxy Note8

    Settings app vanished after update

    Posted: 25 Nov 2019 05:38 AM PST

A couple months ago I did an update for my S7 edge and left it be. When I came back it didn't even switch on, so after a lot of researching later, I managed to get it started. However, every time I would try access the setting app it just simply wouldn't open, no matter in which way I opened the settings. I tried reinstalling the firmware but still no settings app. I can still access the 'quick' settings from the notification drop-down menu, but this means I can only connect to wifis without a password because the second it tries to prompt me for a password it tries to open the settings which I don't have. Has anyone else had this problem before, or anyone knows how to fix this? Also recently a new software update came up, I tried to install it, but it always gets stuck on 30% and then just reboots the phone.

Tab S4 no update since July

    Posted: 25 Nov 2019 04:05 AM PST

    Hi All,

It's almost December and my tab S4 is still on July's security update.

Is there something wrong with the tablet or perhaps the telco I got it from (Optus)?

Is the fingerprint reader on the Samsung A50 still crappy?

    Posted: 25 Nov 2019 02:49 AM PST

    Hey everyone,

I'm thinking about buying a Samsung A50 (4GB ram) but I've heard many accounts that the fingerprint sensor is spotty at best, especially with a glass cover.

I've also heard conflicting reports that this was supposedly fixed last month, but some people still claim to have troubles.

(Ex-)A50 owners: Is it a good phone and how is the fingerprint sensor? Please be truthful; I'd rather spend my money on a higher end phone and save up for it. Money is tight so I really can't afford a bad purchase. Thanks!

What should I do with my old phone?

    Posted: 24 Nov 2019 08:26 PM PST

So I recently upgraded from a Galaxy J3 to a Galaxy S10e, and I still have my old phone. I was planning on completely wiping it clean since it's slow now, but what should I do with it? I prefer watching videos on my new one since the display is bigger, and I prefer playing games on my new one since it has more ram and stronger processing power, so what should I do with my old one? Any ideas?
