New front panel USB doesn't recognize devices - Did I buy the wrong part maybe? Posted: 03 Oct 2019 09:25 AM PDT Windows 7 Part in question - EnLabs FP525U24PL PC computer 5.25 inch 4 Ports USB 2.0 front panel USB Port Hub Splitter 60CM This is where the hub is plugged into I recently had my kid destroy my USB ports on my Haf X case and there is no replacement available unless I spend like $70 for one out of Europe. The case aint even worth that lol. So I bought This hoping to just use one of my available bays to add a new set of USBs. It should be plug & play. Well, it is lol, it powers whatever is connected but does not recognize any devices that are connected. I did just noticed that the part description says it is a "Hub Splitter" Could that be the reason why connected devices are not being recognized?? If that is the case I have no problems using it to power our headsets but I still would like to have a 2.0 USB that I can plug in my controllers and devices and have my PC see them. I do have plenty of them on the back but it is a very large case and its placed in an awkward area where I do not like to move it. I could just buy a 3.0 front panel since the connections on the mobo are closer and it would look a lot cleaner since the front panel I bought I could not hide the wires and loose wires just look ugly. I did try to scan for new hardware, nothing. I ran my Mobo utility disk to see if there were any drivers on it, nothing. I am hoping that it is because of it being a hub because usually stuff like this doesn't stump me very long and I've been at this for a few hours now. Please help lol [link] [comments] |
