Amazon and Amazon Music are a couple of horrid apps. Posted: 26 Oct 2019 02:26 PM PDT Alright, I know it isn't likely that there are alternative apps for either of these, but man, for being a money making, market dominating business, you'd think they would have apps that aren't clunky as fuck. I don't know any other way to describe it other than that. Is there a way to access Amazon music through a secondary app? [link] [comments] |

Looking for an app that will just open any file I press as a text editor Posted: 27 Oct 2019 07:34 AM PDT Hey I'm looking for an app that when it doesn't know what type of file to open something with it will just open it as a text file (jpg with Google photos, xml, CSV, source code with this app). Prefer open source but not mandatory. Currently using Asus file manager and its pointless if it won't open a stupid CSV file [link] [comments] |

Transfer SMS from Pulse to Google Messages? Posted: 27 Oct 2019 05:35 AM PDT With the new RCS discovery, I want to switch to Google Messages, but I also want to keep all my messages. I found that it only imported the messages I've gotten since I bought my current phone, even though Pulse has some dating back further. Is there any way I can import these older messages into Google Messages? [link] [comments] |
Jina and Nova Swipe "Conflict" Posted: 27 Oct 2019 08:48 AM PDT Hi! I've got JINAApp Drawer running on Nova Launcher. I like the side swipe features of JINA, the app list and the favourites list, but I want to disable the main JINA fold (activated by swipe up or a button), and use the Nova Launcher app drawer instead. The Problem I cannot seem to disable the JINA gesture no matter how many times I toggle it off. Does anyone have any insight so that the main JINA drawer is never activated by a swipe of any kind? Posted: 27 Oct 2019 04:49 AM PDT Brainwaves is an Android app which provides a set of useful tools to help people with mental health related issues such as those related to sleep, anxiety, productivity and so on. The most important tool provided by this app is a meditation assistant. It lets you set meditation goals and practice meditation, and uses a graphical story based progress tracker which is helpful in keeping a person engaged and motivated to pursue meditation to make progress, and thus build a regular meditation habit. Users are rewarded with points for consistency and amount of time spent meditating which lets them progress in the virtual journey. This app also has ambient sounds which you can play while meditating or independently. The sounds are handpicked and can play infinitely long, and they are made up of natural sounds such as sound of birds chirping, sound of leaves rustling in a forest and so on, comprising of more than forty sounds in total. The app also has a set of binaural beats which you can use if so inclined to help get yourself into the state you want. App for editing my -own- hair? (cut, not color) Posted: 26 Oct 2019 10:31 PM PDT Hey. New to reddit. I'm looking for an app that will allow me to edit my own hair. Everything I have found so far has only been for coloring hair, or you basically try on virtual wigs. I just want to shorten my -own- hair. Like something that will allow me to select the actual hair on my actual head and shorten/cut it. Is this possible? Help me. I am absolutely terrified of getting my hair cut, and have put it off for years, following a period of disastrous results from multiple salons. For example, I told a stylist that I wanted to try layers. She chopped two distinct layers into my hair. (Not unlike this woman's unfortunate haircut https://www.pinterest.com/pin/65513369558388063/ .) It took me years to grow it out entirely. I told another stylist that I wanted strawberry blonde lowlights, and I ended up with apple red, two inch thick stripes on my head. There is a ton of damage in my hair and I've been putting it off too long. I just need to see how short I am willing to go. I am getting married next year and need to fix this mess before then. Posted: 27 Oct 2019 12:01 AM PDT I want to find an alternative keyboard for Gboard, and I tried Swiftkey as people suggested. The only issue is, I can't find the function of sliding the spacebar to move the typing cursor left or right. I want that kind of function, as I can easily fix my typo without moving my thumb out of the keyboard panel. Does any keyboard app can do this, or it just happens in Gboard? [link] [comments] |
Looking for a keyboard like Hacker's Keyboard. Posted: 27 Oct 2019 09:16 AM PDT I need pc-keyboardlike keys (for using termux etc.) I guess the development is discontinued now. Preferably open source. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 26 Oct 2019 09:23 PM PDT I can't believe in 2019 this is so difficult to find. Calibre writes to the ebook, nothing else reads from it? Moonreader writes a file that only moonreader can read and I'm not installing a vm or an android emulator to use it on windows. Onedrive and Google drive store the books but I'm not sure if onedrive syncs reading positions magically or I'd use that. Bluefire is supposed to do it but the latest apk is gutted and doesn't have pagesync or any features that I can find. Kindle would work except the windows program doesn't accept sideloads or emailed content for some reason. If calibre had its own native reader all of this would be solved. Just four more years of college and I'll make it myself. [link] [comments] |
