| Xiaomi Mi Band 4 Cycling without Phone? Posted: 28 Aug 2019 12:47 PM PDT Hi, I bought this band a few days ago. One of the main reasons for my purchase was the cycling mode. I'd hoped I could use it without my phone on me. I don't care about it recording the route, so I assumed I could just use it without my phone's GPS. It seems like that's how it's supposed to work, because when I press the button to start the exercise, it shows me the following message: "Routes won't be recorded if your phone is disconnected". It also shows this with all the other modes that benefit from having a GPS signal through the phone's connection. After dismissing this message with these modes, they just start without recording the route. However, with cycling, it just closes and goes back to the workout menu. I can start the workout while the band is connected to my phone and then simply cycle out of range, but it just doesn't record any data other than time if I do this. This seems like a major bug to me, and pretty much a deal-breaker. Is there any fix or workaround for this, or do I just have to hope it gets fixed in a firmware update? [link] [comments]  | ||

I'm looking for a decent camera, storage and 3.5 jack, and smooth video and internet experiance. I don't game on my phone (got Switch for that) and the only game I play is Empires and Puzzle which is just a basic puzzle and not 3D game. Which one would you recommend for me? I've switched all my apps across but strangely it says Netflix isn't supported. It won't let me install it from the Play store and when I installed the APK from Netflix it told me the app wasn't supported on my phone. I live in Canada I have made Google Assistant my primary assistant, and I would like to be able to go to assistant by saying "Hey/Okay Google", but I cannot turn this feature on. It says "this feature is current;y unavailable for this language" As well, is there any way to make Google Assistant appear if I hold the power button for 0.5 seconds or hold the home button? I purchased the Mi Band 4 back in June and everything seemed to be working fine as soon as I synced it with the Mi Fit app. Including app notifications, they were working 100%. But suddenly, this month, I stopped getting the notification alerts on the band. I can still view and clear my phone's notifications by browsing the band's menu, but I no longer get the alerts. Mi Fit app alerts are on, I've granted the app all the permissions, made sure it's always running and I'm also not using any 3rd party app for the band. As suggested in old threads, I ran SafetyNet Test and the phone failed Basic Integrity and CTS Profile Match. I don't really know anything about phone rooting and I've never installed magisk/xposed/supersu or anything of the sort. Is there a way I can determine what exact file SafetyNet is taking issue with? Edit : Possible workaround , change Region to India and it let me download the updates , if India doesn't work for you try a different country ( i'd advise against China cause of all the bloat).
