| Eve Echoes Alpha - First Impressions Posted: 28 Aug 2019 07:38 AM PDT A few qualifiers: *I've never played Eve Online but understand basics from YouTube Let's Plays *Phone is Note 8 (which is considered the lowest end phone for the current Alpha.) It's look great. You load in and choose a race etc. Same as Eve Online. You are given a starting frigate. Many features are currently disabled. I'm talking 80-90%. Most things you click on say 'this feature is currently unavailable' including Tutorial's - there are none. It's in a very 'Alpha state' in this respect. Due to lack of Tutorials I watched some Eve Online starting out guides and pressed on. The game universe is MASSIVE. It's all there. Planets, Moons, Stations, Asteroids and anomalies. I definitely felt like exploring as I know this can be one of the most profitable enterprises. Looking forward to seeing what combat is like I bought a larger railgun for my frigate and accepted a 'go there kill this' mission. Getting there was a smooth experience however as soon as I was attacked frames slowed to 1 frame per 5 seconds. I warped away and frames returned to what seems like a decent 60fps. Whenever I encountered an enemy ship and they started firing at me frames slowed to a crawl again. It's an Alpha release so obviously it needs a lot of work. Second Galaxy appears to be in a much more ready state and is releasing in full in September. I'll definitely return to Eve Echoes as the Alpha progresses into Beta and beyond. The parts that work give you the impression that they will spend the time making the game an impressive mobile version of Eve Online. [link] [comments]  | ||

| Remap Nintendo Pro Controller? Posted: 28 Aug 2019 08:47 PM PDT I have a pro controller connected over Bluetooth and have solved all lag by enabling it as an input device S9 screen shot Here the only problem is a lot of the inputs are wrong. R3 is start, the entire right joy stick doesn't do anything, R2 is R1 etc. I tried octopus but that didn't seem to work when it drew on top of other apps. Any advice? I [link] [comments]  | ||
