The Redmi 6 just got an update to Android Pie Posted: 08 Aug 2019 06:15 PM PDT But why isn't it in any of the eligible devices for MIUI 11? 🤨 [link] [comments]
Posted: 08 Aug 2019 05:29 PM PDT I've been having some trouble deciding which of the two Mi phones to go with. I'm in the UK and have seen that it's possible to buy the Mi 8 for £259 on a special offer from Xiaomi direct, while the Mi 9 is £499, also direct from Xiaomi. So therein lies the question - is the snapdragon 855 and wireless charging worth the price bump of the Mi 9? For £499 I may as well get a OnePlus or another android too surely? The Mi 8 is well supported by the developer community, while the Mi 9 has just now got a Paranoid Android beta - I don't like MIUI so would be flashing either phone, which is why I'm so unsure if the better specs is worth the price, if there won't be many ROMS for the phone. I'd much rather buy from Xiaomi direct or somewhere reputable like Amazon rather than importing the phone as I'll be sure to have good warranty coverage then if something goes wrong with the phone later, so as far as I can tell, these are the best prices for both phones new. So what do you guys think? Mi 8 or Mi 9? [link] [comments]
Only some apps show notifications on Always On Display (AOD) Posted: 08 Aug 2019 04:26 PM PDT Apps like WhatsApp, Messenger and the Messages app all display notification badges on the Always On Display, but most other apps like Google Play, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, etc, do not show any notification badge on the Always On Display. Does anyone know if this will be fixed in MiUi 11? [link] [comments]
MiBand4 starting music playback from the tracker! Posted: 08 Aug 2019 09:08 AM PDT Hi All MiBand4 is great, but for a weird reason, you cannot start the music playback directly from the sports tracker. I'm not having this! So with this simple hack, you can start the music playback directly from the MiBand 4 without reaching for your phone. now you can:

Redmi Note 7 battery draining fast Posted: 08 Aug 2019 04:05 PM PDT I recently bought a Redmi Note 7 and the battery does not seem to be during what it should. After charging it to 100% I went to sleep and next morning it was on 90% (~8h, even WiFi was disabled). At the end of the day, with light use of the phone, the battery was on 50%. Is it normal or is there a problem with my device? Can I do something to improve it? [link] [comments]

Can I use a mi band 4 charger to charge a mi band 3? Posted: 08 Aug 2019 09:41 PM PDT I'm asking because I lost my mi band 3 charger and I thought I could just buy a mi band 4 and use the mi band 4 charger to charge both the mi band 3 and 4. Thanks in advance! [link] [comments]
App for reminders that MIUI dont kill? Posted: 08 Aug 2019 09:39 PM PDT Hi! I have been using Wunderlist for my reminders for like 5 years and it have worked great. But now when I switched to the Mi 9T, my reminders only appear as notifications if Im using the phone and the time the reminder should go live. So I have missed a few :/ I have put the app on "No Restrictions" under the battery usage, but that does not help. Other apps like Outlook or Messenger gives me a notification as soon as the arrive. Anyone who switched from OnePlus OxygenOS to MIUI? What are the pros and cons? Posted: 08 Aug 2019 05:22 PM PDT Pondering on switching from my OP6 to the Redmi K20 Pro or Mi 9T, how does MIUI fare now? Last Xiaomi phone I used was the Mi 3. Also, how is MIUI compared to the heavy OS' such as Samsung/Huawei -- in terms of longevity. [link] [comments]
MIUI vs Custom Rom; Google Pay vs Security Posted: 08 Aug 2019 01:35 PM PDT Help me decide wether to stay on MIUI (xiaomi.eu) and be able to use Google Pay or use custom Rom and gain some stability and security. I prefer look of clean Android, but some (few) features of MIUI are making me come back again and again. How did you decide? (I haven't been able to make Google Pay running custom rom [except xiaomi.eu] even though some people claim it is possible) [link] [comments]

Where to buy Indian Versions of Xiaomi? Posted: 08 Aug 2019 07:11 PM PDT Does anyone know where to buy the indian versions of Xiaomi phones outside of India? Im looking for a redmi note 7 pro but would like the Indian (Global) version with locked BL, from what i can tell aliexpress sellers just sell the China version or unlock bootloader and flash the global rom themselves. Reading mode / Night light issues 9T Posted: 08 Aug 2019 07:05 PM PDT I have a weird issue with reading mode, the feature that turns the screen orangish at night. I came from a pixel, on the pixel I had a night light schedule that starts at 9:30pm and when I migrated my information to my 9t I guess that transferred too. So now at 930 the screen dims and becomes orange without the reading mode on MIUI on. If I change the time manually to before 930pm it goes back to normal color. I'm stumped on how to turn this schedule off, it exists no where on my 9T just on my Pixel... [link] [comments]
Perplexing Xiaomi Pocophone F1 Issue - help! Posted: 08 Aug 2019 06:47 PM PDT Recently my pocophone started switching off and on unpredictably. It became more and more frequent and now no longer switches on at all. I think I can rule out software faults because the hard reboot has no effect and all system vitals are completely unresponsive. No lights, no charging screen, no vibrations when holding on button. Because of the random switching on and off, and its lack of power even at full charge, I assumed it was a battery issue. So I dismantled the whole thing and then replaced the battery and it switched on for about a minute after that. Then off again and it became completely unresponsive. Then I did the same thing again with the same new battery and the same thing happened, on for a minute, then off. Once it switches off it won't work again at all. Any ideas what could cause this kind of problem? [link] [comments]
