Also, here's a new look at RN8. I think it looks nicer than it's pro version. The camera looks promising!

(NO ROOT) How to remove in display Fingerprint animation

    Posted: 25 Aug 2019 02:28 PM PDT

Download setedit from Google Play. Open it and confirm that "System table" is selected. Scroll down and search for the "fod_animation_type". Touch the line and then press on "Edit value". Enter "4" (no quotes) and confirm. Enjoy. You can delete the app now if you want.

To really feel the difference also disable all animation scales in the developer options!

Redmi Note 6 or 7 for Battery Life?

    Posted: 25 Aug 2019 05:28 PM PDT

SO dropped her Redmi Note 4 and wants to replace it with something similar. It had a SD 625, and she was fine with the performance. Does the Note 6 get better battery life with the SD 636, than the Note 7's 660? Our main priority is battery life, and performance is meaningless since she just uses her phone to text and for navigation.

Mi9T sometimes doesn't receive phone calls or text messages. Should I get a OnePlus 7 Pro instead?

    Posted: 25 Aug 2019 08:58 PM PDT

was using oneplus 3T but it also had the issue with not receiving calls/messages once in awhile, so i bought the Mi9T for $325 on amazon, still under return period

that didn't fix the problem, so i'm suspecting my Tmobile signal just gets cut off in my house once in awhile (also i live in houston). i've read about Mi9T not fully support all Tmobile bands, but unsure if switching to a OP7 Pro will help fix that. there's a store here selling the OP7 Pro 256gb for $450, i think that's a pretty decent price.

wondering if i should switch to the OP7 pro in this case, or if there's any other alternative or fix (also still have my OP3T if i should wait a couple months for other phones)? i really like the Mi9T aesthetics, if only it didn't have this problem with missing calls/msg.

Just Picked up my Xiaomi M365 at Best Buy (re branded Hover 1 Journey) -I want to build an external Battery pack need to know which high quality battery to match up and use for new battery pack build.(which brand is best Samsung - LG pls help)

I understand the tech elements of the build from a safety standpoint and a practical standpoint.

I want to understand the technical specs printed on the battery (BTW the stock battery looks very cheap hence upgrade)

the text printed on the battery is as follows :

    GZNS18650mp - 2000 3.6 v

    7.2 WH GF2P251 ELD 223731

    MH61981

Also need to know which BMS unit to use.

PS The Hover 1 - Journey does not blue tooth sync yet however I noticed on the Hover website the pending Hover 1 Bluetooth app so seems like its on the way.

Also if I disconnect the scooter from the battery will I need to re flash the scooter in order to re-enable it to run or once re-plugged into power the scooter would scooter just run ?

    Thank...

    Rotating Wallpaper for Mi 9?

    Posted: 25 Aug 2019 07:31 PM PDT

I just tried changing my region to india to allow the wallpaper carousel, but this is only for the lock screen and I am want to add a rotating wallpaper to the home screen. I am willing to root my phone if that's what it takes but even if I do root it there don't seem to be any tutorials and I don't know what I'm doing in terms of a rooted phone.

Mi 9T VS Mi 9T Pro

    Posted: 25 Aug 2019 05:40 AM PDT

Looking to upgrade from my Moto g5+ to a Xiaomi.

I see the Mi 9T 128GB for around 320€ and the Mi 9T Pro 128GB for around 430€.

Is the better chip really worth the 100 euro extra price tag?

    r/Xiaomi Bi-Weekly Photography Thread

    Posted: 25 Aug 2019 04:58 PM PDT

Welcome to r/Xiaomi's Bi-Weekly Photography Thread!

Please use this thread to share photos and videos taken with Xiaomi devices and discuss photography, including camera hardware and software (such as GCam ports). Photos and videos don't have to come from a Xiaomi phone, you can post anything taken with a Mi Ecosystem product, let it be a smartphone, drone or action camera. However, if you post something taken with a Xiaomi phone, please share your phone model, ROM, camera app and camera settings as well. In case of a GCam port, please also detail the app version.

Media about Xiaomi products, like unboxing photos or video reviews, don't fall into the category of photography and should be submitted individually, outside of this thread.

On Reddit Redesign, you can directly embed media in a comment but if you wouldn't like to rely on Reddit, you can use any other website, such as Imgur, Flickr or YouTube, just make sure to post a direct link to your content.

The bi-weekly thread will be unstickied and replaced by a new thread every second Monday at midnight (UTC).

Thanks for reading and happy sharing!

Mi 9, Mi 9T or Redmi K20 Pro

    Posted: 25 Aug 2019 12:30 PM PDT

I'm going to buy a phone soon and would like to know which one is better.

I will probably play some games and watch videos most of the time, I think the Mi 9 is a good choice but the battery seems to be kind of low for the Mi 9 (3300 mAh vs 4000 mAh).

I care mainly about battery life and charging speeds

Using Xiaomi Airdots as "walkie-talkie" ?

    Posted: 25 Aug 2019 12:26 PM PDT

    Hi,

I was wondering if it was possible to have Xiaomi Airdots linked to a single phone, but working as "walkie-talkie" (no need for the push-to-talk-and-mute-the-others feature), if 2 persons use a single Airdot from a pair ?

I have some mobile applications development skills so I could probably work on a hacky-solution, but I was wondering if something was already existing ?

    Thanks !

How can you enroll in the beta Programm to get android Q?

    Posted: 25 Aug 2019 02:52 PM PDT

When I try to opt into the beta from the xiaomi updater (3 dots in the upper right corner) I get promoted to sign into my mi account. After that there's Chinese but translate says that the upper part says version and the other below that says device. Then there's a box to input the reason why you want to enter the beta. Below that are 2 options: 1. Something with app 2. Enroll in beta Programm

After clicking second option it says "{"error":3,"message":"Invalid paramter"}"

Do I need to connect to VPN? I'm on China Rom

Do I need to input Chinese characters?

    Thanks for any advice!
