Posted: 03 Aug 2019 09:28 AM PDT Switched over from a ZTE Blade Zmax to a Redmi Note 7 (Global) and I miss the weather and clock widget that the ZTE had due to its overall design. I downloaded an apk of the widget online, but sadly it doesn't work: "weather keeps stopping" error. I was wondering if there was any way to transfer the widget from my old phone to my new one. | Firefox - Loading pages faster Posted: 02 Aug 2019 10:52 PM PDT I have been using Firefox on and off for many years. Its an excellent browser except the loading speed of the webpages, which is comparatively quite slow, and still the firefox team hasn't addressed this issue. What really is bothering me is the fact that there are people who claim the browser's loading speed as fast and good as other browsers, if not better. I am using a Mi A1 stock android phone, and in my experience, Firefox has always disappointed me when it comes to loading speed of their browser, even WITHOUT any extensions installed. Is there something I can do to improve the speed of Firefox? Are there any hidden settings (like chrome://flags in chrome) which needs to be enabled/disabled to make the loading faster? Thanks. | Posted: 03 Aug 2019 03:26 AM PDT Hi guys, I'm doing some light dieting and believe a calorie counter might be useful. Ideally, something that features an integrated barcode scanner that would allow me to scan something and store its nutrition info to be integrated into future meals. Some reporting systems to process and understand my history over weekly/monthly/yearly intervals would also be nice. Being able to export data would be a perfectly fine alternative. The only mandatory feature, really, would be some means of recording a daily tally. Bonus points if I can specify in quantities and calorie density, eg "7 oz of fish at 150 kcal per 4oz portion." So far, the only one I've tried was an app called FatSecret and it was horrible. It kept nagging me to login and sync, but when I did it flooded me with a ton of social features (people sharing their weight-loss stories or pics of their fruit salad or weightbros talking about the best way to pump their glutes). And to top it all off, the app defaulted to SHARE aspects of my info and nagged me to answer surveys. It advertised scanning barcodes, but as far as I can tell that function is locked away behind a subscription paywall. I'm willing to buy an app, but I'm not willing to maintain a subscription.
