| How do you delete an app's data on Windows 10? Posted: 06 Aug 2019 01:57 PM PDT It's not a Windows Store app, so there is no Advanced option in Apps and Features. I've tried uninstalling the app and then reinstalling it, but the (undesired) settings for that app remain the same. So they must be stored somewhere on my system. How can I find and delete them? | SSD not accessible after cloning Posted: 06 Aug 2019 01:30 PM PDT Hey everyone. I cloned a hard drive to an SSD using Lazesoft (as it was the first that actually seem to did what I wanted, other programs I tried had some limitations). But now when I swapped the drive Windows (7) tells me I need to format the partitions. The SSD actually has all the partitions the original HDD hat but I can't access any of them, Windows just tells me I need to format them in order to use them. I did everything as I was told here: https://www.reddit.com/r/windows/comments/cm9agj/changing_hdd_to_ssd_without_reinstalling_anything/ I connected the SSD and cloned it usind the Lazesoft cloning tool (without doing anything else with the SSD), only cloning used sectors. After it finished Lazesoft told me to just swap them out and that's what I did. Please help me out. Do I need to to another cloning or am I missing something? Thank you in advance. | Issues switching out of Windows 10 S Mode Posted: 06 Aug 2019 03:12 PM PDT Hey all. So I know the steps of how to switch out of S mode: settings -> update -> activation -> store But once in the Windows store on the screen advertising switching out of S, I press the 'Get' button, and nothing happens. Through searches in this sub, I've seen people say that a confirmation dialogue box is supposed to appear but that does not happen for me. Does anybody know what I could be doing wrong? Or if the Store isn't allowing for switching out of S mode at this time? Performing these actions on an HP Stream if that helps. [link] [comments]  | ||

| "There Is a Problem with Your Microsoft Account" Posted: 06 Aug 2019 10:53 AM PDT I get this popup every day. When I try to resolve the issue, it first asks me to log into my Microsoft Account, so I do. It already knows the email so I just supply the password. It then asks me to input a pin to prove that it is me (if I don't have one it forces me to create one at this stage). After that it asks for a further password for my phone number, which is actually just my Skype password. Finally is the stage where I'm stuck, it's asking me to "Add your email". I find this step strange as I started by logging in with my email address. I try to add the same address but then it just says in red letters "email address is already a Microsoft Account. Please try another address". NO! I'm not signing up other email addresses to fix some pretend issue that I have no idea what it is, and Windows won't tell me what the problem is. The only I have is that there's a popup every day saying I need to fix the issue. [link] [comments]  | ||

But I get error for certain videos ( inside the same playlist) and it's just slow and sometime hangs. VLC and MPC seem faster but can't play playlists. Any suggestion? [link] [comments]  | ||
| Windows 10 not truly shutting down Posted: 06 Aug 2019 08:15 AM PDT Hello all, Ever since I've started booting off of an SSD in my ThinkStation E30, I can't shut down properly. Whenever I use Sleep, Hibernate, or Shut Down, my mouse and monitor go dark, however my headset still lights up and the case fans are still spinning. I've tried leaving it on overnight, and in the morning it's still going, so it isn't something I can wait out. This ThinkStation has been upgraded. I've put in a better PSU, an SSD and a GTX 1070, but the problem has not manifested until I booted off of the SSD. When I had the SSD installed but was still booting off of the HDD, it was hibernating perfectly. I've tried turning off Fast Startup, and I've reinstalled Windows on the SSD. | Posted: 06 Aug 2019 07:07 AM PDT Hey everyone, so I went to go format my HDD because I had previously put linux on it for a project. I formatted the partition that has linux on it and it went smoothly. Upon trying to extend my windows partition to the empty one it stated that It was unable to. Since my hard drive is not the boot device for windows, I went to clean and format the windows partition on the HDD to which it stated "Clean is not allowed on the disk containing the current boot, system, pagefile, crashdump, or hibernation volume" when I have my SSD as the boot/C drive. | [Windows 7]Losing sound more frequent now after resume from sleep Posted: 06 Aug 2019 08:01 AM PDT I'm having this issue of losing sound more often recently after waking the PC up from sleep, previously it happens but not frequent. Only way to restore the sound is restart, but it's annoying. I'm not sure what is the cause of the issue since not much result online but i see many folks having the same issue. i tried reconnecting the hdmi, disable/enable sound, but no i still need to restart the windows. | How to fix CredSSP error for windows 2012 R2 Posted: 06 Aug 2019 01:39 AM PDT So I'm having an issue with remote desktoping into a server on W2012 R2 where it says authentication error and that it could be due to CredSSP. The system is fully updated and looking into it almost everything points towards the KB4093120 update however I've seen some say that this isn't available for 2012 R2. https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/4103715/windows-81-update-kb4103715 I've also tried updates KB4103725 and KB4103715 which say they are for windows 2012 R2 but running them says they're not applicable to the computer. At this point I'm just not sure how to fix this issue on this OS. Does anyone else know how to or has fixed it? I know my mixer setup is fine, I've tested in manjaro and there's not a single problem. Even audacity has an error opening audio device. Posted: 06 Aug 2019 01:23 PM PDT I work for an MSP and we try to have computers set up for clients when we drop them off. some laptops we have bought came with S mode and since we cannot use our microsoft accounts and cannot always get the end users we are looking for a work around the issue. Is it possible to do a complete fresh install, will that mess up the license? Or should we create a throw away microsoft account for this purpose? | Posted: 05 Aug 2019 11:32 PM PDT Hey all, Im wondering if anyone else has run into this issue, or might know the cause. Each and everytime windows comes out with a new auto update, it causes my computer to crash about 3 times while installing. It then reverts the update and leaves me alone for awhile until the next one. The update seems to actually complete at some point after that. I reformatted the computer and reinstalled a fresh copy of windows. Yet the issue still appears. Im currently running Windows 10 home 1709. 64 bit. Edit: when I performed the reinstall, that was when 1709 was fresh. The issue has been going on a for long time. Sorry for not clarifying that bit. [link] [comments]  | ||

I tried to reset my laptop as it will not restart normally, but it says I don't have enough space on a drive to do this. Would resorting to fully cleaning a drive remove windows 10?
