I went to a phone shop that fixes phones and they replaced my so called WIFI I.C. After they changed it, my wifi did work but only for A DAY. Now the problem is back. | Help please. Can't find PDFs downloaded from Facebook. Screenshot added. Posted: 21 Aug 2019 09:17 PM PDT Whenever I download a pdf from Facebook app, it shows unreadable at first. Not a problem since I can still open them with Drive PDF Viewer. Now, the problem is I can't find the place where these PDFs are stored in my phone. I checked Android>Data>Facebook directory as some people suggested me, but didn't find them. A lot of valuable files are going missing this way. :( I can only find and open them from the list on the default Download app. I want to find the files and organize them in a different folder for efficiency purposes. | Android won't record incoming callers voice Posted: 21 Aug 2019 09:02 PM PDT It appears that many people using call recording software have, over the past year or so been posting complaints online that their software will no longer record the audio from the incoming caller, regardless of the software manufacturer. From my technical background, I believe this to be a change in privacy settings somewhere in the OS. Because most android OS's are first altered by the hardware manufacturer and then again by the phone service provider, how can I track down exactly what is preventing me from recording my calls properly? Great phone, love everything about it - except one crucial issue: When I activate bluetooth, dl speed for wlan goes from 45Mbps to 0.3Mbps. I cant even watch youtube or netflix videos. But I need Bluetooth for my Bluetooth headphones. It's the first time I use BT headphones, so maybe this is an issue everyone but me knew, but I'm asking anyway: Is this normal? | Could you help me to choose between these two phones? (Coming from iOS) Posted: 21 Aug 2019 07:14 PM PDT Hi, i am an iPhone 5S user looking to change to android and i have two options currently. The Xiaomi Mi 9T(maybe the pro) and the Samsung A70. But as i don't have many experience with any of these phones (i barely used the A70 and i liked it) but never phisically used the mi 9T, everybody says it's a steal for the price and performance, some even call it the king of the medium tier, is one of my options because of my good past experiences tinkering with my father's xiaomi 4x. Some points: I don´t look to use these terminals for gaming as i almost don't do it, and the only game i care about (PUBG) runs full on both of these so no problem with processor. Battery is VERY important for me, and i always carry a powerbank and my charger everywhere (because iPhone) i don't think i will suffer from this as these have 4000 and 4500 of mA of Battery capacity. I literally DGASF about cameras, if it works to scan documents is OK So basically have some questions or doubts on points that maybe someone can help me with:

| Posted: 21 Aug 2019 03:07 PM PDT So this has happened before and I'm unsure how I fixed but I am in a group chat with my dad and brother using the standard android text app. Ever since this morning I can receive messages and pictures in the chat but I cant send anything. This is also the only group chat that is like this all my other group chats work just fine. I've reset my phone, cleared my cache, cycled my mobile data and still nothing works. | Contact sync issue. S7 unrooted. Android 8.0.0 Posted: 21 Aug 2019 06:19 PM PDT I am having difficulty controlling syncing. I have an email moderated by a company so I can't edit the contacts in Google contacts. When I tried the company contacts directory show up as empty but thousands of contacts clutter my messages app when I search for my wanted contacts which slows it down. In accounts I can't seem to select what aspects of the email account I want to sync (everything except contacts! OR, just emails)... Is there a work around? This seems a ridiculous situation to be stuck in, I want to be able to optionally opt out of syncing these annoying contacts while leaving auto sync on to get emails from my multiple accounts in real time. The phone is bought and paid for so if rooting is the only option I am savvy enough to do it and willing, never done it before though. | LG Stylo soft bricked, need to recover data Posted: 21 Aug 2019 02:18 PM PDT As the title says. GF has an LG Stylo from t-mobile, never unlocked, rooted, flashed, or otherwise really messed with. Also never really backed up. -_- Now it's stuck during boot. Turns on and is starting, the screen goes black, then flashes on for a moment, then stays black until soft-reset with a battery pull. No difference with or without SD card in, on or off the charger. She could use a new phone anyway, so my main concern is helping her get the data off. Fairly sure everything she wants off of it is pics and vids from the camera app and other saved media (fb/messenger pics, etc). Any advice on the best way of getting data off this phone? I have a Huawei P20 Pro, if that changes anything. Can anyone help me get my messages back? | Phone wont charge above 1%, except in recovery mode Posted: 21 Aug 2019 05:23 PM PDT Phone: Moto X Play I've been having a problem for the last few months now where my phone will shut down around 15% battery, but would charge normally whenever plugged in. A few days ago it refused to charge. I didn't plug it in overnight and it went below 15% by the time I woke up. It eventually went down to 1%, where I plugged it in for a few hours. I then noticed that it would still be at 1%. I left a video playing on fullscreen to see if that was accurate, and after an hour of playing it finally shut itself down. I plugged it back in and let it charge, and it stayed at 1%, would power back on but only for a few minutes before shutting back down. I tried charging it in the bootloader, but it would do the same thing. I then tried flashing a different ROM and kernel, but that didn't appear to work either. I noticed upon boot that it showed 2% in the OS, and the only thing different was that I had it plugged in while doing the flashing through the recovery. So I then booted into recovery, and left it there while plugged in to charge. It charged as normal and now sits at 96%, but still refuses to charge while in the OS. I get that my battery is probably on it's last legs, but what allows it to charge while in recovery mode that isn't active while in the OS, bootloader, or when powered off? [link] [comments]  |

However about 10 minutes ago it happened again and I suspect it's a scam, which makes it worse because it's not just a normal ad. I haven't downloaded anything weird recently, I just downloaded Authy (I think it's called) but that's supposed to be a serious app so idk why this is happening. Any ideas? Thanks! | Turning off Google Pixel with broken screen. Posted: 21 Aug 2019 05:06 PM PDT Hello, my Google Pixel recently broke, and the screen does not turn on anymore. I know the phone is on because if I hold the power button for 1-3 seconds it vibrates. I want to turn off the phone so that I can use ADB and fastboot, the main reason being that I want to mirror my phone's screen into my computer so that I can still get some use out of it. However I cannot seem to find a way to turn it off. Holding the power button causes the phone to restart, and holding power + vol down/vol up seems to do the same [link] [comments]  |
| Keep Original Lg G6 or Refurb replacement from warranty? Posted: 21 Aug 2019 12:20 PM PDT So i just got a refurb replacemeny under extended warranty with the LG G6 and I dont know what to do. Original: Nothing really wrong with it. It stopped vibrating for 1.5 years but its back to working again. I have dropped it so there are scratches on the edges here and there but not that noticeable. -2 years old...still going strong. -has scratches on back camera but they dont show up on pics or anything and has minor white pixel on bottom screen but only noticeable if i look hard... that ok? Lol The refurb i noticed: -has lower brightness overall. Its 100% is about 70% on my original -might have lower resolution/quality image but that might just be the brightness? i def think its not the same though. -color is darker than original. Its more grey/charcoal than shiny Platinum. -it cost only $90 deductible. -using droid info app it shows that this doesnt have VR sensors nor the Face Glance Sensor -CPU architecture shows up.as Not Available What do you think? Im conflicted. I could.if i want to buy a refurb get an S8 instead for $190 ...or any other refrub Only double my deductible... [link] [comments]  |
