    Trouble with Taskbar activating

    Posted: 07 Aug 2019 10:56 AM PDT

So I have an HP running windows 10. The bottom Taskbar keeps popping up even when I don't want it. I watch full screen movies but it keeps popping up. I can't tell if it only happens when I use Google Chrome. What's happening and can I fix it?

Getting errors trying to build cross-compiler Ubuntu 18.04 '1686-elf failed'

Hey everyone, I hope you're all well. I could use some help as this has taken me a lot longer to figure out than it should... I'll preface by saying I have looked online to figure out the problem and everything I have found is either outdated or just did not work

So I am running ubuntu 18.04 dual booted with windows on my HP-EliteBook-Folio-1040-G2 (in case that matters); and I'm trying to build a cross-compiler following the instructions given in osdev, as well as the os-tutorial by cfenollosa.

In one of the given steps. I've installed binutils version 2.32 and gcc version 9.1.0, and exported path variables based on the previous steps, however when I get to trying to configure binutils by executing the command:

    ../binutils-2.32/configure --target=$TARGET --enable-interwork --enable-multilib --disable-nls --disable-werror --prefix=$PREFIX 2>&1 | tee configure.log

I get the following following output on my console:

    https://i.redd.it/otcfqjvacxe31.png

Is anybody able to tell me the issue i'm having and hopefully how to resolve it? The best thing I could find online was since I'm running x86_64 linux, I need to write linux32 before the above command, but I ended up getting the same error.

Any help would be sincerely apreciated. Thanks in advance!
