| How does internal storage micro SD work on Android? (Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite) Posted: 26 Aug 2019 07:36 PM PDT Hello! I own a Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite (64 GB internal storage), and I just bought an additional 64 GB micro SD card. Obviously, I expected to have 128 GB available for internal storage. However, after I configured my micro SD card, only the internal storage (64 GB) was still available on the file manager. I could see that my micro SD was connected by going to "Settings -> Storage", but I could not access it. The same when I connected the phone to my PC via USB: Only 64 GB "visible". Initially, I thought this was due to not migrating the files from internal storage to the SD card, then I did it. After 40 minutes, my files have been migrated, aaand: still only 64 GB available, but now only my SD card was visible on my File Manager, and my internal storage was not visible anymore!! When I connected the phone to the PC, now only the external SD appeared, with the files that have been migrated! When I go to "Settings -> Storage" now, both the internal storage and the SD card are full of files, as if some of them were duplicated (see picture here: https://ibb.co/4P2mRRX). I think the system is still on the internal storage, since I can eject the SD card, but most of my files become inacessible when I do it. And what's worse, now my phone is super slow, because of the SD card velocity! I really don't understand what happened here, but now I want to configure my SD card as portable and use it only to keep my photos and music, but how can I undo the file migration without screwing everything up? | Posted: 26 Aug 2019 08:58 PM PDT There is one person whose texts skip my sms app (textra) and show up in the stock sms app. Annoyingly, on my LG V40, I cannot send messages with the stock app if it isn't the default texting app. That wasn't the case with my last phone (V20). The weirdest part is it isn't 100% of the time. Just like 85%. I've asked, and they are using an android phone, and it has switched in the middle of a conversation while they said they were in the same location and using the same device. I have had other contacts have messages skip textra as well, but very rarely, it's almost always the same person. What might cause their messages to go through and bypass textra? [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 26 Aug 2019 12:23 PM PDT Even since i first bought the Galaxy S1, i thought i'd forever have tons of apps right in my pocket, like compasses, hiking maps, radios, dictionaries, travel guides, star maps, planet guides, web cam feeds of mountain steams, and endless others........right in my pocket. But for me, after going through my newish Note 8 phone and deleting all of the apps which collects and sell data, track you, sell data, aggregate partial data sets, id you, ask for contacts, etc, or use too much battery/CPU, I have few apps left. Heres the apps i have currently that satisfy the big 3 issues i think a lot of people have. Privacy. Battery. Performance.
What helpful apps do you use that don't track or collect data? ------------------------ side comment ----------------------- Today i realized that Just time time i spent researching what the extent of all the tracking is, its implications and what to do about what already been previously done, a process i feel has possibly just begun.... has undone quite possibly ALL of the benefit and time saving i ever got from using Google's free stuff. Just earlier on I set it to allow alarms only but no media or touch sounds but then I just went back in to review the settings and it had them all unticked again. | Posted: 26 Aug 2019 12:30 PM PDT One day i went to an island with a group and on the way to it, it started raining and after 2-3 hours we started to go back to our home and on the way to home i listened to music on my Samsung s7 but the phones battery was low and it got shutdown as it should BUT i pluggined the charger at Home and what i see was it was getting on and off itself. And definitely it maked me tense so then i watched some videos and read some article about this prob. And these are the methods i have tried: Switched to Safe Mode, let the phone be 100% charged. Posted: 26 Aug 2019 04:38 PM PDT Hey there, I was just wondering if anyone knew where to buy a USB C hub that has an aux port and a USB C port next to it? I found an image of this Benks product but I haven't been able to find it online. I've put the link for the image below.
