| [Help] OnePlus 7 Pro shuts off at least once a day Posted: 26 Aug 2019 07:54 PM PDT Since last week my OnePlus 7 Pro has been shutting down randomly almost at least once a day. It always happens when I'm sleeping or taking a nap, and I have to turn it on by pressing the power and volume up button. I've missed multiple alarms. The only thing that's changed since then is that I added a Dbrand grip case and a glass screen protector. Anyone else having this issue, or know what's happening? [link] [comments]  | ||

| Posted: 26 Aug 2019 05:38 PM PDT My wife dropped her 6T face down on the basement floor and the display no longer displays. The glass is not cracked, it just doesn't show anything except occasionally some funky lines that look like a scrambled television channel. Is there any way for me to duplicate the display easily? It does recognize touch somewhat. Is there a cable I can get to add a display via USB? Anything? Thanks in advance. [link] [comments]  | ||

I prefer the Google version of messages over the oneplus version, is there a simple way to get this set? The only option I've found that works is to individually set a contacts text tone. | OnePlus is not refunding me after receiving my phones Posted: 26 Aug 2019 10:15 AM PDT One was opened just to inspect it, other one was sealed in box. I purchased to 7 Pros from Canada and decided against them and to just opt for a Redmi Note for me and my mom. I got an RMA number and they approved my return, verified that they received it but I was only received a refund for one item. I have been on and off on the phone with there support for almost a month now and progress has varied from them acknowledging this was caused by a system error and telling me it will be resolved in 24 hours (they told me this 3 weeks ago). To employees that can barely speak English telling me everything is fine and that I already received both refunds. I am at my wit's end and I can say I will never support this company again at this point as the customer service has been an absolute nightmare. I just spent an hour on the phone with someone who could barely speak English and ended up hanging up on me while on "hold" for 20 minutes. I am out half the money on a 2000 dollar return that was well within the 14 day period. [link] [comments]  | ||

Posted: 26 Aug 2019 07:09 PM PDT I get it that it was a much sought out feature, and kudos to Oneplus for baking that into the OS, but I'm yet to see it work besides a rare block of spam once in a while. 9 times out of 10, spam/unknown calls would bust their way through without the slightest ID. Im curious as to how 1+ runs this gig. who do they partner with for such lousy detection (my 2 cents), because it sure ain't Truecaller. [link] [comments]  | ||
| Is anyone else's phone date/time off? Posted: 26 Aug 2019 12:47 PM PDT This is a bit of a weird one, it doesn't bother me that much however I thought if anyone had a solution it wouldn't hurt. When I take photos they often show up in Google photos as taken on different days. For example I received my OnePlus 7 Pro on the 23rd and took some photos, yet some photos show up as taken on the 22nd which is impossible. The date and time on my phone as per settings are all correct and I'm always connected via cellular or WiFi. Anyone else having this problem? [link] [comments]  | ||
| Images folder in file manager out of order Posted: 26 Aug 2019 06:35 PM PDT (I couldn't post on the one plus community forums because of the 15 day wait, so I'm posting here) I downloaded a book, but when I scroll through the images using file manager, they sometimes get mixed up when I swipe. This problem only appears when I'm swiping, because when I'm looking at the previews they are in order. This really messes up my reading, as the characters are suddenly in a different scene and/or talking about something completely different. [link] [comments]  | ||
| OP5 capacitive buttons unresponsive Posted: 26 Aug 2019 09:26 AM PDT I'm on the latest open beta (OB 35) so I finish up watching a YouTube video and need to go back to my homescreen and when I press the home button, nothing happens. nothing. then I try pressing the back button, the recent apps button, and even the volume rockers, but to no response whatsoever. what works is the on/off button, and the fingerprint sensor only when I want to unlock my phone. I've been having this problem quite frequently these past few weeks. the only solution is to reboot my phone. however, just to get the task done quick and not have to wait for the reboot, I just enable the on-screen buttons. but nothing except rebooting the phone seems to fix the problem for me.

Now I got a screen protector on it as well and my touch screen doesn't work properly. For example, it makes double taps with one touch and vice versa. If I scroll through Instagram, it might like a picture or on Reddit I might like on open a post. Has this happened to anyone else? | Anyone else have these issues with the 7 pro? Posted: 26 Aug 2019 06:02 PM PDT Got mine a couple months ago and love it but have a few issues that not sure if there's a fix for. I'm using ATT. When Im on a call and I swap it to speaker, the quality is so bad. My voice goes in and out, I tried recording myself and if sounds fine, not sure where the issue is. When I have the aux plugged in and listening to Spotify through the car speaker, the volume on the phone lowers itself, sometimes to a super low volume. Anyone else run into this issue? | Bought a OnePlus 7(not pro) in China. Got a few questions for you guys Posted: 26 Aug 2019 03:13 AM PDT So I bought the phone about a month ago in China and it came with Hydrogen OS. Just found out that the Chinese version is missing a 4g band (I use Sprint in the US). Will this have a major effect on my usage in major cities in the US? I've been having problems downloading/using paid apps from the Google play store, which I had to download manually. Might be due to my Google account being currently based in Thailand? I can't change my account location yet because I am not back in the United States. Anyone else ever have this kind of problem? I really appreciate any answers here as I'm not really knowledgeable on phones, and especially not Android. I bought the phone on jingdong for 2999rmb if anyone was wondering. | oneplus 5t issue with signal sms only showing notifications after i open signal app. Posted: 26 Aug 2019 04:21 PM PDT pretty much as the title states. about a month, month and a half ago i stopped receiving signal texts when they occur. only after opening the app do i see a pile of received messages. my wife says when she sends messages she doesn't get the double check on her notifications. what i've done so far to troubleshoot:
i found a thread online similar to my issue and could not find anything about unregistering and registrating so figured that was another phone thing here but did the other things. https://github.com/signalapp/Signal-Android/issues/5085 might not be a oneplus issue but i've never had this issue before so i was hoping that the oneplus community might have some suggestions. thanks in advance! As expected, it's come back with stock recovery and Android 9. If I unlock the bootloader, flash TWRP and Magisk, will it trigger dm_verity? I'm a bit out of the loop these days. Thanks. It is ~$470 on Amazon right now and that just seems too good of a deal not to hop on. The main concerns I have are the lack of warranty through Amazon and the difficulty of getting it repaired if god forbid, something breaks on it. I'm in the U.S. so I would have to ship it off. I'm also between the Mirror Gray and Red versions and can't decide :( Convince me to buy this phone. I'm coming from an iPhone 5 like a pleb so anything is better. [link] [comments]  | ||

Dome glass has the installation bracket or tool used to align the phone / glue / tempered glass. I'm looking to borrow / buy a used one from you. Not sure if they're reusable though.
Currently you can get these styles of screen protectors for less than 3 bucks shipped on aliexpress, just that nobody has the installation bracket.

So when playing music on Spotify with the notification displaying using the gestures often just doesn't work for longer periods of time. The thing is that I know it registers the gestures because of the haptic feedback, and other gestures also work fine. I should note that I am often playing Spotify through another device, but it isn't that this is an impossible combo because it often also does work. Any people with the same problem?
