Posted: 15 Aug 2019 11:56 AM PDT Okay so I'm having problems charging my Sony DSC HX400V. I'm currently in vacation meaning that I don't have the original charger with me. I tried charging my camera with dozens of different devices (3 different Travel Adapters, Car USB, Reverse Charging with phone, USB Wall Outlets and more) but it doesn't charge at all, it just says 'connecting' as if I was plugging it in to a PC. I cannot change anything in the settings and it also doesn't work with the 2nd battery that I brought with me. I still have 10 days of vacation left and only have 1 spare battery. Is it possible that the camera only recognises chargers like the original one with only an output of 500mA? I'm tired of looking for another way, I even bought another charger today which also doesn't work. Help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. [link] [comments]

Computer wasn't giving any display and now is just wont turn on. Posted: 15 Aug 2019 02:21 AM PDT My specs CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 6 core 12 thread GPU: Radeon RX 5700 8 gigs Motherboard: MPG X570 GAMING PLUS Powersupply: Corsair CX 600 watt Ram: Kingston Fury HyperX 2x4 gigs Case: AeroCool Cylon RGB Mid Tower So basically I built my PC and when I hit the power button, all the hardware starts and all the fans are running but when I plug an HDMI cord into it I get no display on my monitor. All the usb ports work as I plugged in my mouse and it turns on with every port.My only thought could be the CPU is damaged but I was extra careful not to damage it while installing it. Another thing is on the case a red light on the top stays on and doesn't flash but none of the manuals tell me what it means so I'm genuinely at a loss for words here. I tried flashing the motherboard bios and that didn't work but when I went to turn on the PC today to see if anything changed, it stayed on for about 20seconds and then shut off and now it won't turn on again. Can anyone help figure out the problem? [link] [comments]

Posted: 15 Aug 2019 07:21 AM PDT What exactly is cascading a router? I have a wifi extender i'd like to route all the traffic to. So that when someone logs onto the wifi they would do it with the login information of the extender and not the router. Reason I want to do this is so I can block certain people which I'm able to do within the settings of the tp-link extender but not in the router settings. If it is in fact possible to block MAC addresses on the motorola modem please show me how. I'm currently within the settings on http://192.168.1.254. edit: i found the setting to filter MAC addresses [link] [comments]
Posted: 15 Aug 2019 04:43 AM PDT So I was having a chat on discord, when suddenly a fellow user on the server told us about a new ransomware virus that's been spreading around known as Nacro, which encrypts flies turning them into some format called Nacro, and the only way to unlock is to pay about 1000 bucks to remove. Is there a way to remove this? It's pretty recent, it's been spreading since the last 24 hours. [link] [comments]
I bought a usb wifi adapter advertised as supporting 150mbps so am I getting only 10mbps down? Posted: 14 Aug 2019 03:10 PM PDT The first image is taken with my internal wifi card. Second with the USB adapter with a pretty decent connection I can't figure out what's wrong. [link] [comments]
legion y-730 weird crashing problem Posted: 14 Aug 2019 06:55 PM PDT Hey, I am new to the PC community and Have been experiencing some problems lately. I purchased a Legion Y730 as my first actual gaming PC and for a while I was quite satisfied. I received the laptop in January of this year, and all was fine until about April. Around then I started experiencing crashing problems. On games like Titanfall2, Subnautica, Holdfast, Divinity 2: Original Sin, at high settings, the whole computer would crash and restart. No blue screen, after only a few minutes of game play. Here is a list of things I have done so far and not experienced any solutions. -Stress test GPU and CPU, both passed. -Reinstall windows -Searched through event viewer for critical errors, and Kernel-power error shows up, but no other information. Talked to Lenovo on the phone on two separate occasions. One Person had me updated my gtx 1050ti drivers, which did not solve the problem and one tech assistant updated my integrated graphics driver, to no avail. Lenovo then told me to either mail it or take it to best buy where it should be covered under warranty. I proceeded to go to best buy and bring my laptop in. They ran hardware tests and stress tests and told me my laptop did fine. They then offered me either 200 dollar software insurance, (which I don't have under warranty I guess) or said they would factory reset it for 100 dollars. Obviously I took it home and factory reset it myself. After putting my important files on a USB I did the reset. Once finished I reinstalled Subnautica, and proceeded to play. Keep in mind I have a core i7-8th gen, 1050ti and 16gb ram so High settings shouldn't be a problem. In fact it puts the games on high preemptively. It ran fine for about 15 minutes, which was much longer than usual, and right when I started to get my hopes up, I exited Subnautica and it crashed When I Exited It! Same thing no blue screen no error code. Then on the reset, after i typed my password in, It crashed AGAIN! So tomorrow I will be bringing it back to the Geek Squad and well see where it goes from there. Just wanted to put this out there and see if anyone else has had this problem, or If i got a bad batch from the Silicon lottery. [link] [comments] |
