- Anyone know what's going on here? I'm very hesitant to open this in my calendar. Seems like malware.
- HDMI playback device missing in W10
- Thinkpad cpu running at 88-100 Celsius
- Can't connect old monitor to GTX 1660
- Does anyone know why the CD player plays fine when in this orientation, but skips like crazy when flat? And is there any way of fixing it? Thanks!

Thinkpad cpu running at 88-100 Celsius Posted: 27 Aug 2019 11:11 AM PDT I've got some laptops that are running very warm on idle they are between 88-100 just on the desktop. I'm pretty sure some new thermal paste will do the trick, what are your opinions? [link] [comments]
Can't connect old monitor to GTX 1660 Posted: 27 Aug 2019 11:02 AM PDT Trying to connect a Philips 202EL (has DVI-D and VGA ports) to my GTX 1660 using a DP to DVI-D cable. Works fine when the PC is posting, but then monitor displays 'no signal' message. Second monitor (some Toshiba tv with an HDMI to HDMI cable) works fine. Looking in Windows display settings and Nvidia control panel, the Philips monitor is not detected. 'Detect older monitors' button in both Win display settings and Nvidia control panel doesn't help either. Other stuff I tried: 1) All 3 DP ports on the GPU. 2) Made sure monitor input is set to DVI. 3) Made sure cable is securely connected on both ends. 4) When both monitors are connected, hit Win+P and selected extend/duplicate (doesn't do anything). 4) Upgraded to latest Nvidia drivers. Also I know the Philips monitor and cable are fine because I can connect the monitor just fine to my laptop using the cable. [link] [comments]
