Is it just me or do you also delete the game if it sends a notification? Posted: 14 Aug 2019 11:17 AM PDT Games on my phones are pretty good time-wasters and entertaining enough (hence why I browse /r/AndroidGaming), but if the game gives me a notification, 95% of the time, I will just delete the app. Only a handful of apps over the last few years, I have gone to the settings and changed the notification setting to continue playing and that's if I'm already super-invested in the game but if on the first few days, the app sends me a notification, that app has almost no chance of survival. A̶l̶s̶o̶,̶ ̶I̶'̶v̶e̶ ̶t̶r̶i̶e̶d̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶"̶s̶t̶o̶p̶ ̶s̶h̶o̶w̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶n̶o̶t̶i̶f̶i̶c̶a̶t̶i̶o̶n̶"̶ ̶o̶p̶t̶i̶o̶n̶ ̶o̶n̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶n̶o̶t̶i̶f̶i̶c̶a̶t̶i̶o̶n̶ ̶b̶a̶r̶ ̶b̶u̶t̶ ̶I̶'̶v̶e̶ ̶n̶o̶t̶i̶c̶e̶d̶ ̶t̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶a̶p̶p̶ ̶d̶e̶v̶e̶l̶o̶p̶e̶r̶s̶ ̶h̶a̶v̶e̶ ̶a̶ ̶w̶a̶y̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶b̶y̶p̶a̶s̶s̶ ̶t̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶n̶o̶w̶a̶d̶a̶y̶s̶.̶.̶.̶.̶ (edit: ok, am I crazy? I googled if this is the case because someone's super mad in the comments, but I could've sworn I had an app send me a notification AFTER I clicked on disable the notification from the notification drawer.. I might be going crazy) Anyone else feel as strongly about this? [link] [comments]

Non-dodgy Android review sites? Posted: 14 Aug 2019 01:21 AM PDT I've been looking for gaming news sites to submit our game to, but seriously every single one when I contact them they are prompt to reply... and reply with their paid promotion packages. Are there any who do not participate in conflicts of interest? [link] [comments]

Xbox One controller dropping input every 5 seconds. Posted: 14 Aug 2019 06:02 PM PDT I'm trying to use a Bluetooth Xbox One controller (Creeper edition to be exact) on a Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) but every 5 seconds or so it drops all input for about half a second. This makes a lot of games pretty much unplayable. I've changed out the batteries and the controller works fine on my Xbox. Anyone have any idea why it might be doing this? [link] [comments]
Badge(r)s - GPS game about finding, trading and ruling regions in the world. Posted: 14 Aug 2019 03:39 PM PDT I found this game about a week ago because I'm a sucker for all the gps games. I played Resources game religiously until I hit HQ 10 and Ive tried all of the Niantic games although they have never really hooked me. I always felt like there's too much polish for a simple gameplay loop. Same with Orna. I find it incredibly repetitive. This one is a German game and seems to be popular there although I'm in the US. In this one, you produce your badge once every 24 hours in the beginning. You can drop it in any grid you want and gain experience to level up. When you level to level 2 you'll start producing level 1 and level 2 badges on intervals and so on. The idea is you can play any way you want. You can collect as many unique badges as you like. Or you can work to rule different cities/counties/countries. There are two leaderboards. Each city or region has a "ruler" and a "mapper". Mapper is the person who has the most badge drop offs in the most grids or the most badge pickups. Each grid will only give you credit if you pickup a badge you haven't touched before or if you drop off a badge of your own that you haven't dropped before. Whoever has done either of these things the most in a region gets a region badge from that spot. The second leaderboard is "ruler" that's determined by whoever has the highest sum of their badge levels in an area. You can go and pickup other players badges and drop them off in other regions to lower their count in a town you both play in however the trick is that you have a limited capacity of badges you can hold. You only increase your capacity when you pickup a new badge you don't already have. There's a lot going on here in this game which I think is awesome. The only thing is its still in development and the in game help isn't as clear as I wish it was to learn the mechanics. I strongly recommend it although starting out the production rate is pretty slow in the beginning(which you can upgrade by leveling) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.spieleck.app.badgers&hl=en_US [link] [comments]

[REQUEST] Pirate-themed casual game? Posted: 14 Aug 2019 09:49 PM PDT Hi all, So I am looking for something to scratch that pirate itch. I am not interested in naval sims or complex strategy. And I don't care for PVP - too many times I've built up something only to have it wiped out by a paying player and have to start over. I'm currently playing Empires And Puzzles, which is match-3 similar to Puzzle Quest but with base-building too. It doesn't have to be match-3 though. I played Airport City for a long time. I looked in the Play store but didn't find anything interesting. Thanks in advance for your suggestions! [link] [comments]
Looking for games with in-depth player-driven markets/heavy economy focus Posted: 14 Aug 2019 02:33 PM PDT I love economy driven games, especially if that economy feeds into other player v player elements. Games like Albion Online, Archage, and such come to mind. Those games certainly have their flaws, but I love how much of a focus they gave to crafting, gathering, trading and economics. Are there any android games that do the same? [link] [comments]
[s] a Game with trading mechanic Posted: 14 Aug 2019 01:39 PM PDT hey I'm searching for a active f2p game where you can trade items with other players to make more money. Can be text based or high graphics I will try them all ! -Supercell farming game was quite fun (is this still active?) -i tried OSRS over 2 weeks with premium, but I can't get into it.... Posted: 14 Aug 2019 06:57 PM PDT I have tried Tacticool and the controls seem delayed. It seems pretty basic as well but something like that or Guns of Boom. Looking for a free game, IAPs are fine. I do enjoy tactical gameplay but in a shooter aspect. Maybe something even better would be like the old Splinter Cell Multi-player game types? [link] [comments]

Most graphically demanding Android game as of now? Posted: 14 Aug 2019 12:05 AM PDT I just bought OnePlus 7 (the non-pro version) and want to test how beefy this boi is F2P would be nice since I just want to run it [link] [comments]
looking for an rpg/strategy game without crushing amounts of IAPs/microtransactions Posted: 14 Aug 2019 08:34 AM PDT i enjoyed games like warriors of waterdeep and raid shadow legends until i realized how obnoxiously p2w they were. are there alternatives out there that feature strategic, turn-based gameplay, an art style that isn't anime, and aren't heavily reliant on paying money to progress? i don't mind microtransactions, but if you need them to progress (WoW would take days of gameplay to get enough gold without buying it to upgrade one low-level item), i'm not interested. edit: primarily looking for f2p games (hence why i don't mind microtransactions). Games like Brawl Stars? Got a bit burned out. Posted: 14 Aug 2019 12:57 AM PDT Really like the game, even as f2p, but been getting bored with it lately. Any games like it worth a shot? I like MOBA and BR games but I play in short 5-10 minute bursts, so typical MOBAS ( AoV, Vainglory, Onmyoji ) and PUBG like games are out of the question for me. Thanks in advance!
