[DEV] Ghost Reader, an RSS feed reader app powered by AI Posted: 15 Aug 2019 11:02 AM PDT Hello everyone! Today I'm here with a new app for RSS readers. It's simple, fast and powerful. Most of the RSS feeds are partial these days, where you will have to click the link and open the article in browser with ads and tracking. It's really annoying! Ghost Reader uses AI to find full-text feeds of a known websites that offer partial feed. Also all the feeds text are cached offline for better reading experiences. We are also the only app with support for cloudflare protected sites 😎 Download here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sayem.ghostreaderfree Sample video: https://streamable.com/90j09 If you enjoy using the app don't forget to rate the app 🙂 Get iOS version: https://ghostreaderapp.com [link] [comments] |

Posted: 15 Aug 2019 12:27 PM PDT Hello everyone! I would like to present my first complete project. This is an Android game on the Unity 2D engine. The scripting language is C #. I would like to know your opinion on my project and feedback is also welcome. 🚀 Up To Space 🚀 The task is to fly a space rocket, avoid obstacles and destroy aliens! You can expand your hangar with new space rockets, multiply your points by researching, discover new planets and expand their level, and more! ⚠️ Of course, if the post is taken as spam or someone is offended, I will delete it immediately. ⚠️ ⭐ Game is here: Space I will be happy to exchange experiences, consult each other, etc. I am curious! Also, if you need help, feel free to ask. My primary focus is on programming and I will be happy to talk on these topics ❤️ Thank you all, have a nice day![link] [comments] |
Made my first Android app using React Native - Bookey, meet your neighbours through book swaps Posted: 15 Aug 2019 09:17 AM PDT I've spent the last few months building Bookey using React Native. Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.Amir.Booky Bookey is an app that lets you meet new people in your area through book swaps. How it works: 1) You upload your book(s) that you want to swap and set your location 2) You browse through books others have uploaded in your area 3) Swipe right/left to like/dislike a book. 4) If someone likes one of your books and you like one of theirs, it's a match! 5) Message to meet your match and swap your selected books. Let me know what you think of it guys! :) Also, I'm looking at ways to market this app on a small budget so if anyone has any ideas please let me know! Thanks [link] [comments] |
I recently released my solo endeavor, Spheroid X: Zero-G Platformer, on Google Play Posted: 15 Aug 2019 07:53 AM PDT Hi! I'm a university student from Norway, doing a Bachelor's degree in Game Technology and Simulation. I made a goal for myself to develop a mobile game alone and publish it on Google Play during this summer before the next semester starts. Best case it could become successful in any degree, "worst case" it's a good thing to have on my CV that shows some dedication, and just a great way to keep the learning going through the summer. Good things in any case. We had been working with Unreal Engine last year for a group assignment, and I just kept working and building on my knowledge after the semester ended. I worked hard all summer and reached my goal, and published the game on august 8th. A personal victory for me! I've done all aspects of the game myself including music and sound effects. The game is an arcade style Zero-G Platformer/Racing hybrid. It's a little bit of an oxymoron to call it a platformer (you never stand on a platform, and all structures in the environment kills the player), but that is what the gameplay feels most like to me. I'm more inspired by old school games, and aimed to make a game that I like to play; a game with simple systems and pure gameplay. It has a control scheme that is kind of nontraditional for mobile games, or gravity games in general (to my knowledge). The biggest thing about it is that you control both the direction and the thrust of the spacecraft with one thumbstick input. This in itself is a rather sensitive control, but it's balanced by the ability to stop all momentum, and boost in a straight line in any direction. I got some help with play testing from my friends and peers, but I'm still very curious about how people will react to the control scheme particularly. I know it has little bit of a learning curve, and takes some time to get used to, but I feel it gets rewarding when you get a hang of it. I will appreciate any sort of feedback :) Here is the launch trailer I put together: Here is the Play-store link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.SpheroidGames.SpheroidX Thanks for reading :) [link] [comments] |
Looking for a PDF app that lets you check boxes and easily sign by typing in your name. Posted: 15 Aug 2019 07:27 AM PDT Do any exist? And by "typing your name", I mean it writes it out in cursive while you type. [link] [comments] |
Canaree (Music Player) v3 is finally out in BETA Posted: 14 Aug 2019 02:05 PM PDT Hi everyone, After three months of hard work, today I'm finally releasing Canaree v3, with a lot of improvements, from UI, to bug fixes to new features. You can find the full Changelog here. Also, some month ago, the app has gone open-source, and if you want to see the source code or contribute, please visit this Github repo. At the moment I just published the release in the BETA channel, but it will take some time from Google to process the apk and publish to the store. If you want to join the beta testers, you can do it at this link. But if you are impatient, you can try it right now at this link, here are the simple steps to enable internal app sharing. (Please note that the app downloaded from this link is not compatible with the version on the Play Store) Also, since the Google+ was deprecated by Google, I opened a brand new subreddit where you can post all your bug fix request and feature request. Last but not least, as on every new release, I offer 300 promo code, plus the app will be discounted until the end of the month. You can redeem your code in the subreddit mentioned above. Edit. forgot to add [DEV] in the title Edit2: update link to 3.0.1.1 with Blacklist crash fixes and updated translations [link] [comments] |

Keyboard App Eith Text Replacement Posted: 15 Aug 2019 08:40 AM PDT What's an android app that provides what Apple has by default in iOS, where there are text replacement features (ex. type "omw" and then type a space, and it automatically fills "on my way!" without needing to hit the suggestion bar above the keyboard). If anyone had any suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated. [link] [comments] |
How to disable search history on Samsung Internet? Posted: 15 Aug 2019 12:23 PM PDT Just to be clear, I'm not talking about the history page where you see your recently viewed pages, I'm talking about the google search auto-fill on the app. Basically, it annoys whenever I begin searching and looking around only to return the next day and see a wall of my searched that I have to delete individually. There used to be an extra feature where you could instantly delete everything presented to you in the auto-fill but for some reason they removed it. I already disabled everything on the 'my activity' setting of my account so no issues there. So how do I disable it from the app if my google account is not the issue? [link] [comments] |

Chrome App is taking 5 GB of memory!! (without cache) Posted: 15 Aug 2019 09:58 AM PDT I was trying to clean up space on my phone and found out that my Chrome app is taking 5.14 GB of space. I saw disk usage and it showed that 5.14 GB is all Chrome data. What could it be? I have 73 tabs opened. Is it because of that? I used to have 100+ open tabs but it never took so much space.
