Confirmation that the Mi 9T Pro exists, and is exactly the same as a K20 Pro. Posted: 02 Jun 2019 11:29 AM PDT A Chinese seller on Aliexpress has posted something interesting on the shop page.
aliexpress.com/item/33029355757.html So according to the seller, when one does flash the global rom on the K20 Pro, the device info changes to show "Mi 9T Pro" as the device model. It was a bit unclear whether Xiaomi will sell the Pro version of the Mi 9T. As expected they will, and the hardware is exactly the same. (Except for the logo.) [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 Jun 2019 03:22 PM PDT Since I live in a country that Xiaomi doesn't sell phones in, are the Indian versions the same as the global ones? Are they different, and if so, how? [link] [comments]

Posted: 02 Jun 2019 09:31 PM PDT Hey all, Firstly, if anyone can confirm that the Mi 8 trumps the Mi 9 SE in these specs, that'd be great:
Secondly, I'm still debating between the Mi 8 and Mi 9 SE for multiple reasons. The Mi 9 SE has a higher screen to body ratio along with an in-display fingerprint sensor. It also has a smaller and lighter body which I like. Along with that there is a 3rd ultra-wide angle lens compared to the Mi 8s 2 lenses. With no budget concerns, which one should I get? r/Xiaomi Bi-Weekly Photography Thread Posted: 02 Jun 2019 04:57 PM PDT Welcome to r/Xiaomi's Bi-Weekly Photography Thread! Please use this thread to share photos and videos taken with Xiaomi devices and discuss photography, including camera hardware and software (such as GCam ports). Photos and videos don't have to come from a Xiaomi phone, you can post anything taken with a Mi Ecosystem product, let it be a smartphone, drone or action camera. However, if you post something taken with a Xiaomi phone, please share your phone model, ROM, camera app and camera settings as well. In case of a GCam port, please also detail the app version. Media about Xiaomi products, like unboxing photos or video reviews, don't fall into the category of photography and should be submitted individually, outside of this thread. On Reddit Redesign, you can directly embed media in a comment but if you wouldn't like to rely on Reddit, you can use any other website, such as Imgur, Flickr or YouTube, just make sure to post a direct link to your content. The bi-weekly thread will be unstickied and replaced by a new thread every second Monday at midnight (UTC). Thanks for reading and happy sharing! [link] [comments]
Shopee - Do they deliver in Canada? Posted: 02 Jun 2019 02:48 PM PDT I'm trying to buy a Redmi note 7 from shopee. Now when I get to enter the delivery address, I can only choose regional locations? Any idea? [link] [comments]
I'm soon getting the Mi 9 and am curious. Posted: 02 Jun 2019 07:23 PM PDT I am getting a Mi 9 tomorrow and was wondering if I needed to flash the EU version. I never went that far into my phone because of the risk of bricking it. I heard that it greatly improved battery life and that's when I got curious. Is it a hard process that is not beginner friendly and is it even that important? [link] [comments]

How does the latest MIUI currently handle notifications and killing apps in the background? Posted: 02 Jun 2019 08:17 AM PDT I am thinking about getting the k20 pro so I am looking into MIUI a bit, there are some common complaints I have seen that concern me but I am wondering if it isnt up to date information Notifications: Do notification icons still not show up in the top? I see posts that say the icon shows up as you get the notification but then it dissapears, and you have to pull down the shade to view it. Is this still the case? Battery savings/app killing. I am aware that at some point you were able to manually configure apps whether you should let MIUI kill them or not. But I have seen posts that say they actually removed that feature. Is this actually the case? [link] [comments]
Redmi Note 7 Pro China ROMto Global ROM Tutorial Posted: 02 Jun 2019 03:02 PM PDT I am seeking for a step by step tutorial on how to go from china rom to global rom on Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro. I've seen the android explained video for it but I am currently unable to connect the phone to the computer when I enter fastboot mode. I've downloaded the latest version of Mi Unlock but it seems my computer is unable to recognise my RN7Pro when it is in fastboot mode (it recognises it when the phone is on in normal mode and I can surf through the phone files and stuff). I looked over 6 pages of youtube tutorials but either they are in hindi or they go strictly to installing the ROM. I've never done this process of reinstalling the OS in a Xiaomi device, so I'm a little afraid. So... can someone teach me step by step how to do this? Does anyone here have a link to a video that explains this? Thanks! [link] [comments]

Mi9T & Mi9T Pro price prevision/calculation in Europe Posted: 02 Jun 2019 09:00 AM PDT Hello guys I did some calculations based on the price of the Mi9 and Redmi Note 7 at chinese presentation vs european launch time, and it appears the Mi9T will go from 359 € to 379 €, while the Mi9T pro from 449 € to 529 €. What do you think will be the price range? For example I'd be interested in the Mi9T Pro (K20 Pro) 8/128 and it should be 499 € [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 Jun 2019 12:51 PM PDT Why is there no news about the next major MIUI version yet? MIUI 10 got launched around this time of last year but this year there has been no announcements yet. [link] [comments]

Yi Home Android app doesn't say which camera triggered notification Posted: 02 Jun 2019 07:27 PM PDT On both a Galaxy S8 and a Moto e5 Play, when notifications pop up for motion detection, it doesn't say what camera it came from. It just says "Activity Detected at ..." Instead of "Activity Detected at (Bedroom) https://www.dropbox.com/s/m5krehigcsmblxq/Screenshot_20190531-151138_YI%20Home.jpg?dl=0 This issue does NOT happen on iOS. My iPhone shows the correct camera in the notification. Any ideas on this? [link] [comments]

Recently got a RN7, having problems debloating it Posted: 02 Jun 2019 10:30 AM PDT Hey guys, I got my hands on a Redmi Note 7 and im trying to debloat it for aesthetic reasons, as I hate to see so many useless apps on screen. I followed the github instructions but the ADB tool gets stuck in the "looking for devices..." (without the loading wheel tho) and doesn't show the device info.... I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong and I haven't been able to find any solution on the web. Can you guys help me out? (sorry for the bad english, I tried my best) [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 Jun 2019 07:08 AM PDT Hey all, I've been using my iPhone 7 for around 8 months and it is almost unusable, the battery is crazy bad and the screen is messed up too. I'm deciding between the Mi9 SE or RN7 as my next phone. The main worry I have with the SE is it's battery, as I've seen negative comments/reviews on it. I'm attracted to the Note 7 due to its battery, performance and extremely cheap price, but the SE is extremely aesthetic, has an in screen fingerprint sensor and better processor as well as screen. My parents are also wanting me to get the Note 7 but I just wanted to ask you all on your opinions. Would help a lot! [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 Jun 2019 03:13 AM PDT Does anyone know if there's going to be either S or Pro version of Redmi 7? Or if there is no such information yet, is it any probable there will be in the near future? I tried to Google the answer by myself but failed to find anything. Thank you. [link] [comments]
