Posted: 03 Jun 2019 07:55 AM PDT A while back, when the Pixel stand was released, it was shown that, when you docked your Pixel, it turned into a make shift Google Home (like this: https://imgur.com/a/UFfkuru) I was wondering if they are any apps, either play store or sideload, that can replicate this UI on other devices? Posted: 03 Jun 2019 02:55 AM PDT Hi everyone! I was wondering if there is any app to put on a Alzheimer's patient to keep tracking him on time and space. It would be important as you can imagine... Thanks in advance! [link] [comments] |

I got a timer on my android, what is it? Posted: 03 Jun 2019 10:30 AM PDT From yesterday, I noticed a timer appeared on my phone. It appears over certain apps. For example, imgur, stack exchange, TuneIn radio, and system setting. It counts the time when that app is active. Please see attached screen print. Anyone knows what is it? Thank you. Wearable Extensions got an App Manager Posted: 02 Jun 2019 10:39 PM PDT I published an update to my app, Wearable Extensions, today which added an app manager for apps on your watch! You can now uninstall apps that you've installed, launch apps that are launch-able (including system apps) and view requested permissions on a per-app basis! Check it out here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.boswelja.devicemanager [link] [comments] |
Slow Motion playback viewer app similar to iPhone. Posted: 03 Jun 2019 06:40 AM PDT I'm looking for an app that plays back slow motion video similar to the iPhone app. By that I mean when you long press on the slider, it goes deeper into the frames where you can slow the video down further and move the slider in less frames back and forward. I think Samsung's gallery app is similar, but on my Oneplus, I only have stock gallery app and Google Photos and they both only have a regular slider. If I move the slider slightly it jumps too many frames and it's tough to get to the exact frame I'm see trying to see. [link] [comments] |

[Any Version] YouTube App on Smartphone. Posted: 02 Jun 2019 09:27 PM PDT I did a small undocumented research for 2 weeks. I found out mildly interesting result that- YouTube ads when I keep smartphone stationery and idle (To listen music, supplement while working) ads tend be very frequent and Long (At least 3 mins) But while I use it holding in my hand (constantly moving) ads are seldom and also average 10 seconds. Is this something related Phone's Gyroscope and Activity based adaptation? Device used: Xiomi Mi A1, running Android Pie 9.0, Build No. PKQ1.180917.001.V10.0.9.0.PDHMIXM This is only affirmation, requires a legit Dev Confirmation. If already done, link me down. Posted: 02 Jun 2019 09:34 PM PDT Is there a app that I can set alarms for temperatures or my area? I would like to be notified so I know when to open and close windows to save money. [link] [comments] |
Snapchat does not give push-notificatons Posted: 03 Jun 2019 11:41 AM PDT Yeah, title pretty much gives it away. I am having issues regarding Snapchat's notifications: they are inexistent. Since one or two days Snapchat has suddenly stopped giving me push-notifications on my Xiaomi Mi 9 which is very frustrating. I have tried practically anything that comes to mind: deleting cache and app data, reinstall, reboot, I even downgraded to an older version of Snapchat (and obviously tried updating), I reinstalled Google Play services and Google Services Framework... I have tried a lot. Help is mich appreciated, this is really frustrating... What do I do about this? It really is goshdarn annoying. Anyone ever had an issue like this? Thanks in advance! Does anyone know of a japanese app where you feed shrimps to some weird fish? Posted: 03 Jun 2019 11:33 AM PDT The more you feed it the more it changes into weird a Buddhist type creature. Any help? [link] [comments] |
Need a Bulk Pictures Compactor App Posted: 03 Jun 2019 05:26 AM PDT I'm looking for a picture size reduction app with minimal resolution drop but most importantly one that does a bunch of pictures at the same time (not momentarily) I just want to select the pictures then leave it to the app. All the apps I found so far only do one by one reduction which is very time consuming considering I have many pictures to compact. Finding a 1 line esque puzzle game with a sudoku vibe Posted: 03 Jun 2019 05:06 AM PDT I used to play this app about a year ago where it would usually have hexagons with numbers inside of them. The number corresponds to the number of times the line touches that square. The app in question had a nice clean sudoku feel to it, it wasnt anything like mainstream add filled puzzle line. It had a Japanese (?) Style name, e.g. "sudoku" "rikudo" Just the name of the type of puzzle would help. Thanks. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 Jun 2019 10:59 AM PDT Is there a good app that can help plan walking/biking routes? Specifically I'm looking to input a start point, stop point, and distance and have it give me potential routes. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 Jun 2019 10:58 AM PDT I am looking for an app that will allow me to initiate phone call using webhook. (ifttt is not an option since it supports us only) Kindly advise options. [link] [comments] |
Want to use apps but don't wish to maintain google account Posted: 03 Jun 2019 10:07 AM PDT Anyone have any recommendations of how to keep apps updated without maintaining a google login on phone? I created a dummy account just to access the google app store but wondering if there is a better way. Some of my apps for banking do not work if im not on the latest version... I hate having to maintain a google account.. is there a way to add google resources to f-droid or a more trustworthy apk resource to download/install from? [link] [comments] |
Keyboard app with dedicated accented letters row Posted: 03 Jun 2019 09:39 AM PDT Do you know a normal, keyboard app with an option to enable top row for accented letters (with long press for numbers). Samsung and huawei phones has one. I found that ai.type has this option, but it's terrible in any other way. Maybe there's an option on swiftkey that I'm missing? [link] [comments] |
Android Phone voicemail feat not working Posted: 03 Jun 2019 09:38 AM PDT I am using tmobile service, the phone app which contains the visual voicemail feature, Is not showing anymore. I have cleared phone cache and storage [link] [comments] |
Looking for a gallery app that allows subgalleries Posted: 03 Jun 2019 09:13 AM PDT I'm looking for a photo gallery app where I can organize my photos manually into galleries and subgalleries. For example, I want to create a gallery Travel, and inside this gallery I want to create subgalleries like: USA, France, Peru, Australia, etc, with my pictures inside it. I also looked for file explorer apps, since this behavior is exactly like tree structure from folders/directories. The closest I found was Solid Explorer with a nice gallery mode, but it won't let me set images as folder thumbnails. Is there a good app like that out there? I tried several but without success. Posted: 03 Jun 2019 09:10 AM PDT Something like Pages or Illustrator, but obviously more simple. Ideally the app should export as PDF. [link] [comments] |
[DEV] Open source app which shows movie ratings when browsing Netflix Posted: 03 Jun 2019 08:55 AM PDT I have created an open source app which leverages android's Accessibility services to show ratings of movies and tv shows when you are browsing Netflix, Amazon Prime or other streaming apps. I made this app a year ago as it was getting difficult to find a good title watch on Netflix and that hasn't changed yet. Netflix keeps promoting new tv shows and movies which are not even that good. The app reads the title from the screen and gets* movie ratings from IMDb and shows in a little floating view on the screen. It's completely free, no ads and no need to create an account. You just need to install and enable accessibility service for the app. Download it from Playstore or from Github Looking forward to your feedback. Feel free to suggest apps that you would like support for.
Bottom line: It's not perfect, but it works 90% of the time. [link] [comments] |
Seeking particular type of video editing interface app Posted: 03 Jun 2019 08:53 AM PDT Basically I'm looking for dial type control gui , wherein the app links from android to win10 like a game controller or even just same device. On screen for fine control. I'm thinking the dials would control for speed/scene and more. [link] [comments] |

Pedometer With Most Functionality Posted: 03 Jun 2019 04:41 AM PDT I know there's several posts of people asking for the best pedometer, I'm specifically looking for ones with a large variety of features. Ideally one that sits in the background and tracks your steps (obviously), elevation, and distance. I'd also love it too be able to track bike rides and potentially show routes taken on a map without me having to start up a separate activity tracker. I don't particularly care about it being super accurate, and my phone's battery is great so I don't mind the drain. Ideally a free one is best, but I don't mind paying for something if it's good.
