| "Your device is missing important security and quality fixes." windows 10 error Posted: 16 May 2019 11:47 AM PDT I have been getting this error for about a week but looking at the update history it says it last checked on valentines day (2/14). the last update installed was on 2/13 I uninstalled those through some recommendations on google. I've also tried a bunch of other solutions that were editing permissions and things like that but I have undone them when they didn't work so no extra problems to deal with in fixing this at least. I am one of the few people who absolutely loves to keep everything up-to-date, I don't do the early access updates anymore (looking at you "OcToBeR UpDaTe") I love my computer and I want to get it running at full capacity quickly thank you Edit: sorry if I wasn't clear. this is an error that won't allow me to check for updates to windows or update windows and I NEEED these updates Side Question: why do you browse this sub? I appreciate all you all do but I have a hard enough time keeping up with the important subs to me let alone watching for a place I can be of assistance! [link] [comments]  |

Does anyone know if any of this old stuff still works on a fully patched Windows 7 build? Another one here, similar article, replace a file on the system disk. https://www.lifewire.com/how-to-reset-a-windows-7-password-2626297 My system is booting from a RAID set, so I guess I need a Windows 7 bootable WIM which happens to include the relevant drivers for the AMD raid controller too? I am connected with a wi-fi antenna plugged in my USB slot. When I type in my default gateway in a browser it doesn't lead me to my "router" settings, it says the site isn't found. Is there a way to access those settings from the PC somehow? [link] [comments]  |
| Lenovo G580 Laptop Sound Issue. Posted: 15 May 2019 08:42 PM PDT I have had sound issues in the past but managed to fix them. I have reinstalled the drivers and fixed it. I have taken it apart and unplugged then replugged in the speakers before and fixed it. However this time the only way I get sound when I am plugged into the HDMI port. The speakers and the headphone jack do not work. I have tried the previous two fixes with no luck. Any ideas on this would be extremely helpful. Thank you. [link] [comments]  |
| Need Help With My New Monster PC! Posted: 15 May 2019 08:35 PM PDT PLEASE HELP, I was inspired by courage's pc and i went out and built a monster. My specs are a RTX 2080 TI Amp Extreme, i9-9900k, Asus ROG XI hero motherboard, Samsung EVO 1TB 2.5inch SATA SSD, and i even bought a Corsair liquid CPU cooler, and i have Corsair 32g DDR4 Ram, but i mostly never stay at 240 and never hit 400 ever only when looking straight up in the bus, before the players jump. While i see courage with a standard founders edition of the RTX2080 ti hitting 300-400 fps constantly and I've followed a lot of videos on how to increase FPS and yet i'm nowhere near those numbers. please I saved up for about a year and a half and i'm beginning to feel real sad as i cant find an answer as to why theirs such a difference? The game i'm playing is Fortnite. most streamers always have a consistent 240 and i have practically the same if not better of a build please help. [link] [comments]  |
