Mi 9 Google play services use 40-60% of battery Posted: 28 May 2019 05:21 PM PDT Depending on how much I use my phone Google play serives uses 40-60% of my battery. First I thought nothing of it as I was using stock global rom because I thought there's just something wrong with that specific rom but even after flashing Xiaomi.eu rom the usage of Google play services remains insanely high. Stuff like "clean cache" and simple stuff that I get from first page at google has pretty much no effect. I do use 2 google accounts and I do have sync enabled but this still should't result in power draw anywhere near 40%. The battery still gets me through the day without a problem (about 6h of SOT leaves me 20% of the battery at the end of the day). Power draw while using the phone is excelent. The issue is power draw when phone isn't being used. Example today: time since full charge: 19h; SOT: 2h 50min; power draw by display: 2%; power draw by google services: 59%; power draw by xiaomi service framework: 15% Just 2% from screen and 59% from google services... Really don't know what to do to fix this. Owners of mi 9 please check and report your power draw by google services and if anyone has any idea how to fix this let me know please. Posted: 28 May 2019 09:41 AM PDT I want to buy a new phone and in theory the Hungarian price of K20 pro will be similar to the price of MI 9. My main requests are: good camera, stable system. I don't know much about the K20 pro: what's the performance of the K20 pro differs to the performance of MI 9? I know that they have the same processor, but that's it. Can you guys help me to decide which one to buy? Thank you in advance for your answers! [link] [comments]

Pwm vs Dc Dimming Battery Performance Posted: 28 May 2019 07:49 PM PDT You know Xioami testing to their new Amoled screen technology. It's called "DC dimming". Dc dimming is the most effective things for Amoled screen and your eyes because there are less vibration then pwm tech. I'm using custom (Miui Eu) rom so, I've had the chance to try dc dimming. I couldn't see the big difference. There are little difference when you using the black app with low brightness. However, I think dc dimming is more efficient for the battery usage but I can't find any evidence for this. Is there any evidence? If you use dc dimming what's your opinion? Posted: 28 May 2019 09:26 PM PDT Pretty much the title. Bought a Redmi Note 7 (4/64 lavender) I unlocked &flashed the latest global stable via fastboot yesterday, and when I get to the initial setup, after the wifi/sim check, it tries to connect to Google - which fails. Waited for a long time, tried multiple connections (wifi, 4g tethering from another phone) I have a VPN, but I can't install it if I don't get past that point. It happened on my previous Redmi Note 3 Pro too, but in that case I flashed an RR Oreo and it allowed me to bypass the Google setup after it failed, get to the home screen, and install my VPN. Any help appreciated, thanks. [link] [comments]

Is there any 'app block' app that works with Dual Apps? Posted: 28 May 2019 09:05 PM PDT Hi guys, do you know any 'app block' app that detects dual apps? I mean, I've tried with StayFocused, Usage Time, App Detox, App Off Timer and many others but non of them seem to work with dual apps. They just don't block the second app as they do with the default one. Sorry for my English [link] [comments]

Mi9 sound quality with headphones Posted: 28 May 2019 03:00 PM PDT Hey everyone, I've recently ordered the Mi9 but I'm concerned about sound quality on this device. Very few of the reviews I find online mention SQ and when they do it's always the speaker that gets praised which is not what I'm interested in. I'm interested in the sound quality when using headphones (especially wired ones in conjunction with the USB adapter). So how is the sound quality on the Mi9 when using headphones? The Snapdragon 855 should have a good DAC built in but is it enabled in this model? Thanks! [link] [comments]

Redmi 6A China rom Google installer issue Posted: 28 May 2019 05:53 PM PDT One of my parents gave me a Redmi 6A this year, and it's frustrating coz it does not have a Google Play Store (or any Google app) installed. I alreqdy tried downloading the Google Installer, but it's not working. It's stuck on 0%. I tried downloading Google Services and Google Service Framework. Whenever I try to open the Google Service Framework app, a pop up appears and says that it has a problem parsing the app. Would really use some help here. Thank you very much. Which xiaomi phone will be fast for many years? Posted: 28 May 2019 05:45 PM PDT I been thinking of getting a mi max 3 and keeping it for 4 years. Now the k20 is available which should last a while.. It has a smaller battery but the processor is much faster and more ram. What I am looking for is to keep the ownership to about 50 dollars per year before I sell. The criteria is that its battery is large so that after 4 years its still very useable. The processor is fast enough to be useable for 4 years or more. If I can use the k20 for 6 years then I might just use it till it is about dead. Would the mi max 3, k20 or other be the phone to last 4 to 6 years? [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 May 2019 01:31 PM PDT [UPDATE] Should I buy Mi9 8/128? 📷 (First previous text for context) So the time has come to an end for my MI5 and I was thinking to get a Mi9, 8gbram, 128rom. My biggest concern is how the battery would perform as it isn't massive (don't really know if the 3300 would be enough). Any opinions in the daily perform of this device? Do you need to charge it in the middle of the day? I consider myself a medium-high user. I usually use the phone to answer mails while on the train. Apart from that, won't be gaming or editing videos on it. Thanks in advance! (UPDATE) I end up buying the Mi9 6/128 (as the 8/128 is not selling in Spain yet and was not feeling like waiting for a couple of weeks until the other device arrives from China). Anyway, the phone is doing well, the battery drainage is good (from my point of view), which was one of my main concerns, and I have to admit the phone is super fast. It's true I jumped from a Mi5 to a Mi9, but still pretty impressive. Nevertheless, I enclose a couple of links to screenshots I took to "record" the battery performance of the phone. Would appreciate if you could give me your thoughts about how you think the device is performing so far. Thanks again! [link] [comments] |
