| Problem with using the MI Home System - especially Gateway and Roborock in the Philippines Posted: 12 May 2019 08:48 PM PDT I bought my Mi Home Gateway plus sensors 2 years ago and it worked ok. Last month I bought me the roborock s50 and now I have problems. I now have done a complete restart - new MI Account set to Philippines as the Region and then MI Home app deleted and installed new. I started setting my country to Philippines and added the MI Gateway. All went fine, when I clicked the gateway Icon I could access "More Options" to check for firmware and so on. Then Also my motion sensor was detected and I could set a automation for it to activate the gateway light when motion is detected. Then I added the roborock - and again everything was fine, I could use it and clicking the icon shows "More Options" that I can use. Everything was smooth until about an hour later I suddenly couldnt use the gateway anymore. Its still in the icon list of the app - and the automation works - only whenever I try to use the "More Options" I only get a "Failed to initialize device (7)" errormessage. Roborock was working first - but now it also shows ony "Device offline, check connection status" errormessage when I click on the "More Options". I tried to set the server to CHINA - but then I get my Gateway back working, but not the Roborock that then fails working by telling me to "Check the server settings". I bought the Gateway and sensors from Lazada and a local distributor in the philippines. I bought the Roborock directly from a chinese supplier on Lazada. [link] [comments]  | ||

For an example I'm in youtube app and there is a link, if I click on it to be open with then browser I got the message and youtube crash Another example if I open my files app, when I click on a video and click on open with another app, I got the message and the app crash. How could this have happened, and more importantly - how do I fix it?! :( It was working fine when I went to sleep. Battery is well over 50% and I'm using standard OTA updates (global). | Posted: 12 May 2019 05:34 PM PDT I'm currently using a redmi note 5 plus, wanna get a new phone. My options are Note 7 pro, Mi 9 se or wait for Mi A3 Note 7 pro I like the design, camera and the processor,bigger battery, the size I feel its a bit too big want smaller than my current phone. Mi 9 se I like it's amoled screen,camera same as note 7 pro,perfect size, bigger processor than note 7 pro but smaller battery and expensive than note 7 pro. Another option would be to wait for the Mi A3 it would be nice to have stock android, the problem is the launch date hasn't been announced yet and can only wait till mid June, the latest teaser show triple camera and dual guess that is mi A3 and lite respectively. Other also suggest that since mi 9 se wasn't released in India, the mi A3 will be a re branded mi 9 se with a 730 processor. [link] [comments]  | ||

| Full Screen Gestures Sometimes Don't Work. Help? Posted: 12 May 2019 03:44 PM PDT For no apparent reason gestures sometimes stop working. Especially Bottom Swipe (to go home), and Top Swipe (to open notifications). This happens 5-10 minutes after turning on and using the device. Sometimes it will take longer than that, but sometimes after only a minute or so. What phone do I have? Redmi Note 5 , Model: M1803E7SG When did it happen? After the 10.2.1 Global Stable Update. How does it behave? When I lock the device and then unlock it, it starts working.When I just touch the fingerprint sensor, it works (it works while I'm touching the sensor). I tested this multiple times by continuously swiping from the bottom the same way for 10-15 times and gently pressing the sensor within those 10-15 swipes (timing of the sensor touch was always random). What I tried in order to fix it? I tried Factory resetting 2-3 times. I tried deleting dalvik, storage, etc. using TWRP recovery (I unlocked my phone as soon as I bought it almost a year ago). All of that failed. Then I hoped a new global stable update will fix it, but it didn't. Today I flashed a developer ROM using fastboot, in hopes that will make it work, but nope. Help? EDIT: What I realized just now is this: I removed the case from it, and it works perfectly whenever I touch the metal backplate of the phone (not just the sensor). I tested this now, when I lay it flat on the table and try Swipe from the Top, it worked 0/20 times. When I was touching the back plate with a finger, it worked 20/20 times.I'm guessing there is some static electricity buildup or something that's causing this? [link] [comments]  | ||

So far it doesn't seem to be affecting function but it's only been like this for around 5 minutes. Does anyone have a recommendation on what I should buy? Has anyone repaired it themselves? | Notebook Pro GTX bad performance Posted: 12 May 2019 02:45 PM PDT Hi, I made this post on /r/pcmasterrace but no one gave a conclusive answer. I recently bought the Xiaomi Notebook Pro GTX while I was in China for work, and I've had big problems with the GPU, which is a nvidia 1050 with max-Q design. Here's what GPU-Z says about mine : This seems to be the usual specs for this GPU. However, when playing games, the performance is just awful. So I ran some benchmarks and found out that I'm waaaay below the usual performance on this GPU. Here's my userbenchmark run : https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/16720735. I tried out Unigine Valley & Heaven and I run both at around 20 fps when I should be around 100 or something given online data about the GPU. And yeah, I checked Nvidia control panel and made the GPU my default rendering device. Any idea what's happening ? Has anyone had this problem with this device ? [link] [comments]  | ||

But the internet browser that is built in looks nice but It's not very clear what data it collects.
