Posted: 02 Apr 2019 07:59 AM PDT I'm fully prepared for the downvotes on this topic but am I the only one who is questioning OnePlus' commitment to bi-monthly security updates? I currently own a OP6 and it's still on the 1/1/19 Android security patch. It's now 4/2/19. Even if OnePlus rolls out a security update within the next week it most likely will be for the 3/1/19 Android security patch, already a month behind the current one released just yesterday. With Samsung just announcing monthly security updates for a lot of their phones along with the Pixel line and the Essential phone consistently rolling out monthly security updates, I feel that OnePlus could do a better job committing to their promise of bi-monthly security updates. Truthfully, there's no reason they can't roll them out monthly. Thoughts? [link] [comments]
Looking to get a 6T but have some questions. Posted: 02 Apr 2019 07:31 PM PDT Hello, my galaxy s8 seems to be on its last legs. Yesterday, the back-light went out and there is a thick white line at the bottom of thee screen where the on-screen buttons should be. I was really wanting to wait to upgrade but I need a phone and would like as close to a flagship I can get for pretty cheap. I think the 6T is perfect for my situation (though I wish I could wait for the 7 but this seems unlikely). My questions are: has anyone experienced buying a 6T from a third party like craigslist? I see deals like this all the time but am unsure if they are scams or not since they claim to only have 64gb of storage when the 6T starts at 128. Also, I have Verizon but live in an area with really strong 4g connection, would I still have problems with calls and texts? Lastly, I'm going abroad in the fall and was wondering if the phone can be used internationally with a Spanish sim? Thanks for all the help! [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 Apr 2019 03:26 PM PDT Is it worth it getting this phone as the oneplus 7 is on the horizon? Im getting a new phone in a few weeks and had been considering the 6t for a really long time, but since the 7 is coming out in like a month or two should i wait for it instead? [link] [comments]
Aspect ratio in apps and quick launching apps Posted: 02 Apr 2019 07:59 PM PDT I had commented on here months ago about how I was unable to deposit checks on my banks app and pictures were coming out blurry. After many updates the camera seems good now, but I'm still having trouble depositing checks. I was finally able to get it to work for the first time by not lining the check up with the lines you normally need to. I have a feeling this has something to do with the aspect ratio of the screen and the app not supporting it. Is there a way to change it? Also not to add another question but it there a way to quick launch an app with a gesture or button besides the screen off stuff? [link] [comments]
Best place to buy OnePlus 6 in Canada? Posted: 02 Apr 2019 07:26 PM PDT I dont think the official website sells the OnePlus 6 anymore. I checked amazon but they are all sold by third party sellers. Anyone know a good place to buy the OnePlus 6 in Canada? [link] [comments]
Anyone else with a 6t dealing with random screen shots? Posted: 02 Apr 2019 07:58 AM PDT Trying to figure out how to solve this issue with the quick screenshot buttons. Maybe it's my case (spiegen) but I constantly take random screenshots when my phone is on. I cannot replicate the issue on my own but it's happens alot. Anyone else dealing with this or know a way to change the quick screenshot setting (power button+volume) [link] [comments]

Posted: 02 Apr 2019 11:31 AM PDT Feels bad, but my Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 died (stuck in a bootloop and I can't fix it even with flashing the default rom). I am looking at the Oneplus 6 and 6t because of the support of rooting and lots of xda development. Sucks given that the Oneplus 7 is probably going to be released soon. My options are buying: -A6000 (Asian variant) OP6 version for $600 CAD from Swiftronics;I'm not sure if I would be covered by the warranty given the box says "warranty valid only in mainland China" -OP6T from Oneplus themselves for $730 CAD [link] [comments]
[Oneplus 3] Screen coming off from the top and sides Posted: 02 Apr 2019 03:04 PM PDT Hey everyone, My Oneplus 3's screen is coming off its body from the top and sides. Looks like the glue's given away, I showed it to a generic phone repair shop today and they told me the battery was swollen and needs replacement (they didn't open up the phone afaict). I took a flashlight, looked in from the top and can't "see" any bulges. How can I correctly diagnose the problem? Unfortunately there are no Oneplus service centers where I'm currently at. Thanks! Only fix I've found is to close all apps then try again [link] [comments]

Do you know of any caffeine type app/tile that actually works on oneplus under Pie? Posted: 02 Apr 2019 12:55 PM PDT Just to clarify, by caffeine I mean the kind of apps that are supposed to keep your screen on until terminated. I've tried several of them and they seem to get killed by the system within a minute, regardless of whether they're whitelisted in battery optimization or not. [link] [comments]
Is there any App to check Battery Health? Posted: 02 Apr 2019 02:23 AM PDT I currently have 33% with an Screen On Time of 2 H and 30mins. ( OnePlus 6T ). Which is quite weired. Is there any way to check battery health? [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 Apr 2019 07:37 AM PDT Just got my 5T yesterday. 8/128 version. Phone is buttery smooth. I love it. The size is perfect and due to the curve it fits way better in my hand than my Pixel 2 XL did even tho they're almost the same size. But I'm noticing significant issues with both texting via the reg app (also google messages), visual voicemail and also wifi calling. I'm on T-Mobile and my sim is in slot 1. APN settings are correct. Messages aren't sending 6/10 times. Visual VM keeps telling me it cannot setup and I refuse to use the t-mobile app for it. Wifi calling doesn't let me set up my address for E911 calls so it keeps prompting me but when I do make a call it clearly states wifi call. Running stock OS with 9.0.4 update. Should I master reset and try again? I'm also bootloader unlocked and rooted with magisk if that means anything. Thanks! [link] [comments]
Fixing ram management on a rooted device (OP6) Posted: 02 Apr 2019 11:10 AM PDT Since this phone has the worst ram management ever, at least in my case, is there a way to keep the apps in memory. My device is rooted, so I don't mind a magisk module or even an app on the play store, or any other alternative you have. [link] [comments]
Unlocking bootloader and flashing twrp Posted: 02 Apr 2019 10:52 AM PDT Just got a one plus 6t. is there any reason not to install it on a fresh device? [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 Apr 2019 03:04 AM PDT As the title says, as of last night my phone just keeps restarting and many apps refuse to open and crash. This is so sudden. It was working perfectly before. What's happened? [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 Apr 2019 09:56 AM PDT I purchased my OP5 back in July of 2017, and with it bought the On-guard 24 month protection plan. Last week i dropped my phone, which resulted in this. So i submitted a service request, and the FutureTel just recieved it. Now they are saying my device is out of warranty, even though I still have ~3 months left of it. Now I have to pay $150 to repair my damn screen?! Is there anything I can do here? What kind of scam is this. [link] [comments]

Extremely slow wifi on OnePlus 6T Posted: 02 Apr 2019 07:21 AM PDT I've had the 6T since launch and it's been great with really fast wifi, but for the last few days, it's been at around 0.3mbps when my wifi is usually 33mbps. I've done a speed test on my pc which has a wired connection and the speed is normal. I've restarted the device and straight after a reboot, the speed is normal but a couple of minutes after, it drops again. is this a current problem with the device or should i consider speaking to my provider?
