Next Project: A monthly Podcast all about Mobile Gaming! Co-hosts: NimbleThor and TinyLittleGames (ideas for segments VERY welcomed)

    Posted: 11 Apr 2019 06:18 AM PDT

First of all, to listen to the podcast, head over here: https://youtu.be/a6nKJlRJ-2s (there's a timestamp with every topic we cover in the first pinned comment, btw <3).

So, why create a mobile gaming podcast?

First of all, because after doing nearly 100 episodes of the tl;dr game recommendations here on the sub, and covering hundreds of games on YouTube, I really wanted something with a longer format where I can just sit down with a friend and nerd out about mobile gaming and have fun :)

We've always wanted a podcast like that ourselves, and so we figured we might as well just create one.

    What do we talk about?

Everything related to mobile gaming. What we're playing these days, upcoming game releases, the latest industry news (Google Stadia, Apple Arcade, Razer to stop making smartphones), and games we want to rant about (like The Elder Scrolls: Blades), and more.

BUT we also need ideas. It'd be super cool to get some suggestions from you guys, and we'll then cover those in the next episode. So do you have an idea for a segment we should add or something we should discuss, then please let me know.

Thank you all a bunch for the amazing support you've shown the tl;dr posts over the years, and I hope you'll enjoy this new format as an extra addition.

[REQUEST] Are there any NSFW that are complete with no IAP, micro transactions or "gacha gambling"?

    Posted: 11 Apr 2019 11:14 AM PDT

I just want a full game I can play start to finish with big ole (preferably) anime tiddies. I'll even pay within reason.

Before someone suggests nutaku, I've been there and it's all time gated gacha crap as best I can tell.

Announcing Bright City Lights, a completely free puzzle game

    Posted: 11 Apr 2019 09:18 PM PDT

I'm a fledgling Android developer and I recently released my first game to the Google Play Store, Bright City Lights. It's a simple and straightforward puzzle game that's easy to pick up but hard to master with a clean aesthetic and chill music. It's completely ad-free and devoid of microtransactions.

Please give it a shot and let me know exactly what you think. I'd really appreciate the feedback.

[DEV] Yes! Happy with how the dual flamethrowers turn out for my robot battle game. Now I can burn my opponent's robot to crisp.

[REQUEST] Multiplayer games that you play through bluetooth

    Posted: 11 Apr 2019 06:19 PM PDT

I remember back in 2009 or so I used to play lots of card games through bluetooth during my classes with people from school.

I just found out about Soul Knight and I'm having a shit ton of fun with it, and would like to play with some guys from work, on our lunch break. Unfortunately my cellphone has no signal at the office, and we can't connect to the company's wi-fi, so the only way we could play something together would be through bluetooth - but then again, if there are any other methods that doesn't need an internet connection, I'd be thankful.

I think quite literally any game could be fun enough if we could play together... But it'd be more of our interest if it was a coop game and have support for at least 3 players.

    Thanks in advance! :D

Any games that are fully featured but offline like Fallout Shelter?

    Posted: 11 Apr 2019 08:48 AM PDT

Not necessarily the same genre but I like the progression feel without it depending on microtransactions.

My personal tests confirm these database results. I think the CAT S41 is either experiencing a GPU driver issue or CAT decided to PURPOSEFULLY slow down the GPU with the Oreo update! In real use, the issues are only visible in the form of GTA SA profusely lagging (it ran smooth as silk before Oreo).

Why does GTA San Andreas keep crashing?

    Posted: 11 Apr 2019 02:28 PM PDT

Anybody know why the game just randomly crashes and closes without any error message or notification? is there any way to fix it?

It was perfectly fine when I first started it and then the crashing and flickering artifacts started happening after I changed the graphics settings so I'm sure it's related to those, anybody know which particular graphics settings need to be changed for it to stop crashing?

    Anyone playing BFB Champions?

    Posted: 11 Apr 2019 02:21 PM PDT

It is basically a bit of a gacha-type japanese football game. You manage the team and open packs and stuff. It is not high quality, but i still have some fun playing, but i did not even see one person talk about it online. Is there anyone else playing the game here maybe? (Btw if you know the game, feel free to comment some similar games)

Why Elder Scrolls Blades fail as a mobile game currently

    Posted: 10 Apr 2019 11:24 PM PDT

This post is not about comparing this to other open world games of the series, but i want to consider this as a separate mobile game on its own.

1-First of all, chest system is terrible of course. Not much to say regarding chests, bronze chests should be able to be opened while waiting for others and they should have a separate storage and problem might be solved in that regard.

2- Potions and poisons are most of the time useless. I don't use stamina, mana potions, poisons at all; for buffs instead of 10 seconds, they could be scarcer and last for 10 minutes maybe. Current potion system does not work on mobile.

3- The combat system tries to be like this game's console and pc siblings, however, not much use in using magic and skills; you just keep hitting and it ends.

4- Repetitiveness - This obviously is a part of mobile gaming, however, there are not many different environments. Outdoors look almost the same, and as indoors, there is a cave and a few different dungeons and it is done.

5- Town building- Does anyone even enjoy this? There are useless buildings, I don't even bother but in order to play story missions, you have to keep building.

6- Too much crap in inventory - This is also a part where the game tries to play like its siblings, Inventory is somewhat terrible. You get materials for potions, decorations they just keep piling up. You keep selling and selling which brings us to...

7- Merchants not having enough gold - This is a mechanic that doesn't work in mobile imo, if i want to sell, i should be able to sell.

8- Too little gem rewards; you get 1 from occasional enemy and a few from chests if you ever get that. There should be daily missions which reward with a few gems, maybe progression rewards too, most of the mobile games do that.

    Good coop games?

    Posted: 11 Apr 2019 04:33 AM PDT

So do you know any good coop games?

Me and my girl friend play often bloons td 5 in coop.

But we search for more good coop games not necessarily td games any kind.

It's just hard to find awesome games on the playstore...

Also would be great if these games work in coop with cellular internet (no wifi)

    Any suggestions?
