Posted: 26 Feb 2019 07:14 PM PST The fingerprint reader on the back of my Poco is so intuitively placed - my finger naturally rests there, so I naturally unlock the phone as I'm taking it out of my pocket and lifting it to my face. It also works for taking selfie phones in the camera app. The in-screen fingerprint read on the Xiaomi 9 seems to be in a worse position - you'll have to actually look down at the phone to make sure your thumb is in position. Also it can't be used to take selfies. What are the advantages of moving the finder print reader? Anyone here use the Xiaomi Mi 8 pro or Huawei Mate 20 Pro, and if so do you like it? I have tried to warm it up before forcing it into the wheel but nothing work! I love Pulse but for some reason I can't receive MMS and group sms. Does anyone have a work around for that or another 3rd party app that does work with Xiaomi for MMS and group SMS? Edit: I've tried Google message and textra and they both work with MMS on Xiaomi now. After sampling them both I feel Google message is more user friendly but Textra is more aesthetically customizable. I'll use both during the week and decide. | Mi Mix 3 slider gap and squeak Posted: 26 Feb 2019 02:37 AM PST ok so my mi mix 3 slider is sqeaking and i found out that if you blow air from the top it stops its due to the dirt buildup. Yesterday something weird happened i accidentally dropped my phone with the case on hopefully no damage occurred but the slider gap is now minimal it moves less side to side and it stopped sqeaking its like it fell in place so weird. I've also tried unlocking the phone via the Xiaomi software and that gives new errors each time also.
