Virtual Box keeps throwing “memory could not be written” error Posted: 13 Feb 2019 11:24 AM PST I just downloaded Oracle VirtualBox and it just randomly throws this error and the VM just closes: The memory could not be written. Click on OK to terminate the program. It doesn't happen at exact intervals either. Once I've started the VM, 5 minutes can pass or 10 seconds can pass and it throws this error. I looked everywhere on the internet and tried out different solutions, but none of them work. What could be the problem? Comment [link] [comments]

Windows 10 laptop's mouse/cursor randomly clicks all the time for no reason, Aka. "ghost clicking" Posted: 12 Feb 2019 03:03 PM PST Hello everyone, I've been facing this problem with my laptop for the past couple of weeks and I'm about ready to slit my wrists. It's driving me up the wall I have a Razer Blade 2015 laptop, and since a couple of weeks my cursor keeps randomly clicking on its own; The cursor itself doesn't move, it just click and sometimes hold clicks on wherever it happens to be pointing at I was able to conclude that it's not a hardware related problem, as I disabled my touchpad and disconnected my USB mouse and the clicking was still somehow happening! So far I've tried deleting my mouse drivers then restarting the pc, also disabled touchscreen from device manager, also checked for viruses and malware (I used Avast, malware bytes, hitman pro) and all of the apps i tried didn't detect any issue. I heard somewhere that Avast might cause this kinda issue, so I've uninstalled it and I'm still having the same problem. I also watched a video on Youtube where a guy suggested disabling fast boot from power settings, did that with no avail. I deleted a bunch of apps and games that i've recently installed, i disabled a lot of startup apps from task manager, and still no hope.. I googled this and read a lot of articles and supposed fixes with no luck. I'm hoping someone might be able to help me figure out a solution to this odd issue. Thanks in advance. My usbs stopped working overnight. Posted: 12 Feb 2019 06:24 PM PST Specs: Z170a MSI gaming m3 i5 6600k GTX 1070 FE 2x8 Geil Evo Potenza ram. Corsair single fan water cooler. I came home from school this morning only to find that the USB ports on my computer have stopped working So far I've: -cleaned them -Reset the bios -cleared cmos -spam f11 on startup -check for cables sitting on the motherboard -checked for Power to ethernet (yes it has it) I can't find a single thing online that I haven't tried yet or can try the only thing I've seen is to try a ps/2 keyboard but I have no money and no means of buying one at the moment. Thankyou for the help Also posted over on tech support. [link] [comments]
what could be some possible reasons windows 7 doesn't start up on me? Posted: 12 Feb 2019 05:28 PM PST the computer posts and completes the bios and when it boots up windows loads into the desktop but CTRL ALT DEL doesn't work and neither does the task manager. Windows loads into safe mode just fine, but I've not recently changed drivers or anything system or hardware related recently. In fact I haven't even installed any new software at all for about a year now. Last thing I can remember installing is some Epson software for a printer but that was as mentioned a year ago. Where can I start looking to find the root cause in safe mode if I don't know what I'm looking for? [link] [comments]
iPhone 8 Plus. possible call spoofing using personal number to blackmail Posted: 12 Feb 2019 03:49 PM PST This is not happening to me. It a close family member. I will try to be as clear as possible but stress levels are high. TLDR at the end. My cousin lets call her Lisa has a boyfriend named John. John is receiving calls from a number that matches Lisa's phone number. The first call occurred yesterday and sounded like a couple was having sex on the background. This was impossible because Lisa and I were on FaceTime during this time. Another call occurred today where the person ( a male) called John cursing him out using Lisa's number. She is not making the calls and this is ruining her relationship. My question is how can she stop this and how is this person able to do this. She has an iPhone 8 Plus if that matters. TLDR: cousin is being blackmailed from her own number. What to do? [link] [comments] |
